Probably this post is being watched and moderator there ready to ban ppl.
On one hand, really can't blame them, though, for not wanting their merchandise got pirated so soon. But on the other hand, I ONLY support project with "one-time" pledge options. It's a sell and buy relationship really between developers and players, simple as that. Don't see any points to fuel some stranger's life.
In my experience, most P*t*e*n, C*e*, or whatever support plans, turns out costing way much more than any 3A games if you are in it till its completeion, if that ever happens.

The 'patreon' concept is that you support the dev to work on the game, either by commissioning art/models/story/etc.. or by just straight-forward being a one-man-army doing all kind of lad.

A 3A game costs around 60bucks (for you as an end-user), but the project itself costs millions (cyberpunk: 174M, starfield: 200M)
A 'indie' game fueled by 'patreon' as my example above don't even reach these numbers, for example here are 2 games which take forever to finish:
- Breeders of the Nephelym, has roughly 6300 supporters with an a minimum pledge of 2USD per month. That would end with 12.000 USD - 5% patreon comission per month (144k per year). It's in 'development' since 2017 (i guess), multiply 144k with 6 years and you end with 864k USD development budget) (and i just calculated the minimum pledge) and it's indeed absurd.
- Milfy City (pretty popular on this forum), it's since 2018 with 7200 supporters at the moment, a minimum pledge of 1USD, that would be like 432k in 5 years?

I should also mention that an average salary for any kind of dev in a corporation it's around 50k per year.
- If the 'main dev' wants 'help', it's expensive.

Your statement doesn't hold.

But if your statement refers only to you, as a single consumer.
- Then yes, the 10 USD mark (per month) for this particular project may be high and you'll pay more for the finished product.

---

I can agree that some devs just 'milk' supporters as much as possible while they may or may not focus on other things rather than doing what they're supported for. But the ones which pop-up regularly updates i think they do they part.

Please note that i compared 'AAA' with these knd of games just because you made the weird comparsion first.

Agreed and no mean to fight. It's just personal preference thing (and experience of been milked).
But if you compare other commercialized indie games that didn't keep hanging on "supports" (e.g. Hoopo, and Project Moon and many other more), it's clearly the cost/performance ratio just will be better than 3A, for individual single consumers.

Don't care to spend in games or hobbies, but I just tired to invest in the developers' "this week of cleaning up my work space", "next weeks of plan", "random excuse of being lazy" or "complaining abt being prirated".
So, I now just go with the old way: take my money and let me grab my purchase. That's it, not interested in your life or story or whatever.

There's a request thread up that you can bump if you really want to. It's better than clogging up the thread. That being said, the patreon doesn't show how much money he makes per month, so I'm guessing nobody is actually paying him for his work, which means that nobody is getting the legitimate copy that eventually gets given to us, or patreon has feature that allows you to keep your patron amount and money gained per month private, which is also entirely possible, I'm not sure.

The dev stating that their aim is to make a goblin burrow X Kenshi type game makes me almost want to support it, but as of right now the game isn't really that fun, and could definitely use some more engaging gameplay (For instance, take Breeding season's system where if you breed a pair with a single trait, there's a chance that the trait becomes a more potent version, eg: ATK +1 Woman and ATK+1 Goblin will give birth to a ATK+2 goblin/hybrid), and anyone with a brain could predict that there will be a big content drought once the dev decides to shift focus from goblin rape pit management to open world adventuring and goblin rape pit construction. Basically, I personally only support stuff that has already provided me something fun, so that if it dies, I at least got something fun, if not the whole promised product.

In addition, Breeders of Nephelym has been freely playable on Steam since October 18, 2019, so if you download the game here and have Steam, it's your own fault :)

And the game "Goblin Lord Wants Me to Become a Virgin Wizard by Managing the Brothel!" is available on Steam for 9.75 euros and already has a 0.071 update, which is only the 0.05 update here on this page. That means if you have Steam and the manufacturers of these games have some brains and put it on Steam for 10 euros but of course always make updates, you could also sell them for money if you want, I would rather pay them something. I find it pointless to always pay something monthly but only receive an update every six months.

edit: a other game was here in f95zone only have 0.05 is in steam too

The game released for patreon 0.03 in 27.03.2023, in steam was this game in 07.04.2023 and i have paid 9.75 euro .
The update 0.06 for patreons was in 20.06.2023 and for steam in 19.06 2023 but it was later a quick fix in steam one day later.
That update 0.07 was for patreon in 25 .07. 2023 and in steam was this on 02.08.2023.
The 0.08 update for patreon come on 26.09.2023 i hope we become in steam the update in 2 - 3 weeks the newest update.

So really, if you're so afraid of what others think in the 21st century, I mean 100 years ago I would have understood that when everything was so annoying when you look at the history of pornography.

In ancient Rome, two thousands of years ago, women and men used the same toilet at the same time, something that none of us can imagine today. And there were at least 20 of them sitting on it face to face or even next to each other and even using the same sponge to clean. It's obviously unhygienic from today's perspective, but that's how it was back then. I admit that in ancient Rome I would also have had problems with such a toilet :p

And if you have war games or mafia games on your accounts, aren't you afraid of what your friends or families think?

or car racing games like need for speed where you can drive against the police? aren't you worried about that?

I don't have a girlfriend or wife, okay, but I would ask you whether you prefer someone who plays porn games or cheats in real life. Things are different with children and of course there are rules so you have to be careful. Because of children, there is also security protection on your computer that you can set and if the child has their own computer and is still too young, you also have to use these settings and be careful, that is clear to me.
I don't know what it's like in your school, but with us the children learn where babies come from at the age of 12. Our country is just informative for young people. I don't know what it's like in America or other countries, for example

And it also depends on the country. As with alcohol, here you can drink from the age of 18, while in other places you can only drink from the age of 21.

And I don't care what my parents say about it, I'm an adult and I can do whatever I want as long as it doesn't get me arrested.

But that's just my opinion on the topic.

Cool gaem, could be big if keeps up. I think it would be nice to get better females with low % chance early in the game tbh.
