Hello,
does anyone have a suggestion for the optimal settings by playing from pc?
I did one playthrough so far and had a lot of fun with it. But now it seems that everytime the AI tries to write a text, it bugs and prints nothing.

Anyone heard of any team od single dev try to do the same thing but adding a drawing model for illustration as well?

The game looks very promising, but it depends hardly on using a matching AI. I tried gemini pro, but the censoring is pretty harsh and it was driving me crazy.
I now using a local koboldcpp installation and it's working fine with my hardware. I'm testing also various gguf's. The actual one (Moistral-11B) is not so bad, but I'm not a reference because it's my first one.
But I have a problem with a dead end. I played a scene with Jo in her room. But after that I'm stuck in that room. The skip button is not active and all attempts to leave the room failed so far. It seems I have to fuck her forever, lol. I loaded from an earlier save, so that can meet the other characters. The other problem is, that sometimes after one of the characters ask a question I can not answer because the question is skipped. I don't know if this a problem of the game or the AI. Keep up the good work.

Update: I tried several models now and run always in the same problems. Sometimes Questions are automatically skipped for no reason ( not that i'm aware off) and I can't still leave Joe's room. I was rude to here and was hoping she throw me out, but no chance. ;)

the implementation of kobold in the game is still somewhat rough, but most likely the problem lies with the local model. unfortunately, not all models work the same way as the larger ones. the problem arises if they do not use emojis and certain special characters on which the game's trigger system relies. I'm still figuring out why this happens, but try reducing the temperature to below 0.8 (game settings) - this will help the model follow system instructions more clearly and possibly return the necessary triggers. also, try increasing the system context trimming to 8-10k. with a value below 8k, the system context may be truncated so that necessary instructions do not make it into the request

Is there a Way to make the Game remember the Session bevor ?
So this is possible, with a little tinkering.. If you enable messgae history the ai model will make a soft save of your general interactions in the scene every 10, 15.. Or however many prompts you set in the message history setting. This works similar to making a hard save using the save game function. The ai will never remember exatly, it will never save your session, if you want what happened before to be relevant you have to tell it. So a saved game, loaded history and if you have a Patreon code you can add a custom context to send to the ai every pose.

As it stands the game has no solid way to fully remember, perhaps in future there'll be a training ai model rather than a complete model. Maybe even outside of the game (interfacing with a locallly run ai) so that interactions are saved.

I'm sure I rambled and didn't help, if you want to natter more about the ways it can be done but wont properly work, I'm active in the game Discord.

this is pretty cool with local ai now usable. mine tends to throw EOS token errors a lot for some reason though so looking forward to more progress. also some info on what local models are intended to be used? since many use different settings and there isn't many options to change in game? does the game use the default sampler and other settings from kobold, user settings, something else? Keep at it dev (y)

k, so have to wait to the "perhaps in future" and playing some short stories

last idea : we can download the log, maybe ... is there a way get that log back into the game, Like : hey AI read that, this happened last time

last but not least : great work with that really lewed Chat AI. It really tried to answer me in German...reading the outcome was ahm ^^

I've tried the game for a few days now. Mainly the sandbox AI role-play. I won't comment on the main game too much because that seems to be still in it's early stages. The characters look really nice though but I was kinda stuck with the poem questions.

Then I tried the sandbox feature using a gemini key and Ellie. It was really impressive to interact with the AI at first and let me tell you, she can get really pissed off if you tell her you don't like the sex with her. :oops:
The thing I noticed, even on the first try, is that the IA kept including sentence after sentence lecturing me about the importance of mutual understanding, trust and communication as a basis of a healthy relationship bla bla bla.
While that is probably all true I really don't want to be lectured during gameplay.

So I tried koboldcpp running a local "AI"(LLM) . And if you do that - and you know almost nothing about it, read the help section in game. It really helped me to get started.
From this point on you'll realize that each of these local LLMs can be very different. You really have to dig a little into the matter to get a better understanding. Some have huge hardware requirements and others will run on a mobile phone. Some are very lenient during chat others are very strict. Some like to verbose, others don't. Some are super slow and others very fast.

The point being: You have to find one that runs on your hardware and the chat is to your liking.

It's gets even better when you provide a custom context to the sandbox characters (Patreon only feature).
You can set a little scenario, or give the characters certain traits and the AI tries to incoperate all of it.
But all that depends largely on the chosen LLM. For exmple: You define character X as evil. Depending on the LLM that can mean character X destroys your sandcastle or kill you in your sleep. (exaggerated)

The biggest gripe I have so far is with AI context retention: During gameplay you can meet character A and half an hour later you ask the AI about charakter A and she might know nothing about that character. The longer you play the more context seems to be lost. This is not a fault of the game though. It depends largely on the LLM, the settings, and the underlying hardware that is used.

I'd be curious to know if anyone has tried image generation or speech synthesis/recognition yet.

If the author reads this: Is there a specific way how to structure a custom context?

Try something like : Fiona take a deep look into <player name > Eyes and she intant runs horny (sry, not english origin, i play in german)

i tried gemini, but it blocked too many ... ahm ... things ^^
im back to origin and have a lot of ... fun ... with the girls

didnt try murder, bdsm, futa, animal related
but as far as i can say, theres no no-go with the original AI....its even try to learn german

I don't know why I'm so clumsy. I have no idea what API keys and passwords are. I just can't do it. I did a bit of research and saw that they are paid, and apparently, I shouldn't share them with anyone. How do you play this game? How does the ChatBot respond to you? Isn't it dangerous? I really want to play this game, but I have some concerns.

gemini has a free key, and groq service does too (but only weak models are free there). most others typically offer a free trial. in the game settings and help section are all links to obtain keys for each model,

if u don't trust large corporations, u can use local models via kobold – this way everything stays on your machine, no api key needed, and it's free. drawbacks of local models include inconvenience, some setup required, and u need a powerful machine with a graphics card (preferably nvidia). with large models via api – it's simpler, the only thing u need is to get an api key

I played the game online with a gemini free key and a local with a kobold ccp installation. I had much more fun with kobold, but it depends heavily on the model you are using. The Moistral-11B-v3-f16 is my favorit at the moment, but it is big (20GB).

But two things bothered me about both variants. You are in the middle of a conversation and receive the answer to a question or ask a question yourself. You see the answer to your question for a fraction of a second, then the entire scenario changes without any warnings. This is very frustrating. It looks like these are fixed turning points within the game, but they totally destroy the flow of the game. I have changed all possible settings, but the result is always the same. I was really excited about the game at the beginning, but now I'm a bit disillusioned. Let's wait and see how it continues. Good luck anyway!
