Ahh, I think you might have misunderstood me. I've zero issue with Python code. What I was saying last night is that I'm considering writing a mod so that this title plays like a standard VN. In other words for it to basically remove the gaming element like a basic novel. I'm not saying I'm set on the idea, it was just a thought. At the end of the day giving the end user options is never a bad thing, folks can then choose how they wish to play. My problem is that I have many projects going at once, a few too many irons in the fire. Regards.

You are on the right track. Here is what I would do:

1. Backup (copy or compress) your current game/saves directory contents (all your current saves and persistent) just in case you want/need to revert.
2. Delete the contents of your game/saves directory AND the contents of (user name)/AppData/Roaming/RenPy/My best friends daughter directory.
3. Copy the mentioned Ep7 save and persistent to your game/saves directory. You don't need to copy them to the AddData structure as that is done automatically in the background.
4. Run game, load Ep7 save, change your MC name as desired, profit.

This is purely a suggestion, try restructuring your patreon tiers, i mean in all seriousness, to get the game as a patron within any sort of reasonable time you have to pay top tier ($50-100), and with covid, and a lot of people out of work etc, and don't have a lot of money, you would find you would probably get a lot more patrons if the prices were lower and the wait times per tier shorter. I was originally a patron on $10 tier, which still had a 3 week wait time to get the game, whereas most games i sub to, you can get it a lot sooner (and in some cases at the same time as second tier subs), this of course is your decision.
People want to play your game(s), but i'm sure the wait times and the cost are putting people off, so they'd rather get it for free when it's public, or when it gets leaked, which TBH is probably going to happen no matter what you do, and being aggressive to people here on this site which has a LOT of people who visit regularly, will likely see the way you interract with people here and be less inclined to subscribe to your games.

I don't know if my tier options are right or wrong. When I had few tiers - people were blaming me for that too. I need to differ the offers for each tiers - otherwise it will not make sense. Whether you are a USD 5 patreon or USD 100 patreon you'll get the game with exact same interval - eq to 30 days. What's wrong with that? I haven't been aggressive. The only thing what I did was to ban the guy who shared my game - that's all. If he didn't made a post out of it here - I would never had mentioned it here at all. I have tried to explain the reason why I ban people as this is my only salary. I guess you'll do that too. I guess that the major part of people here understand my reactions. Have a good day.

You need to unrenpy (Google that) the scripts.rpa file
That will create a ton of other files which you can then edit (including main.rpy)
Be sure to delete the original scripts file after that.
No repacking is required
After that simply restart the game

New Episode roughly once a month, going by the when the dev releases the game on Patreon.
And then new versions after the initial release for bug fixes or new features (animations added in 8.5)

If I'm interpreting things correctly, it seems CeLaVieGroup copyrighted their games, RfR and MBFD.
Thev've got a legal right to their respective titles and it's content according to the laws in most countries.
In other terms: They own their games and are free to let out the right to use them against payment.
It's like in olden times when one rented a VHS movie or similar.
Just because you've paid a fee, tier or whatever the product does not change ownership!

Since we're all pirates here it's not really applicable.
Some'll moan while others bide their time and wait.

But it's still their product!

Of course it's his right to copyright his game, but it's strange that he's allowed to publicize and manage this thread while in the same time he's sueing people for sharing his game.
What people will say if, for example, Bioware or another company known for sueing pirates will be getting a role, even a small one, in the management/staff of TPB or any other pirate sharing site...

In case someone ever wants/need a save and persistent for the end of Ep3 I've attached below. Rename save for the page/slot you wish if needed. In game rename MC as desired. I might do this with each Ep as I finish coding. Regards.

I can tell you for a fact that I've donated hundreds to devs that I would have never known about if it weren't for this site. If one believes there is no monetary benefit for this dev as well with the exposure it gets from folks that would never have otherwise then one would be a fool. It is indeed a double-edged sword, but the majority of the time (if the product is quality) then the dev comes out on top with the exposure and new subscribers. This is fact. Regards.

I've donated hundreds to devs on here too. What I put in bold in your quote is why the dev is so hostile here - objective reviews that set out the many faults in this game are available for all to see - if you subscribed on Patreon based just what was on there, I think 95% would be sorely disappointed, especially when they charge well over $600 a year to get the game updates as they release! OVER SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS for the "privilege" of having the updates on day 1.

Talented devs can make a proper living from their games if they are promoted and marketed well on here. Look at top 20 weighted games and look at the earnings they can make.

Still, the dev is free to make what they like and we are free to review and comment on it.
