In our world USA it's like this (annually). It's called Child Tax Credit (it's advanced over possible tax returns if I understand it):
$3,000 per child 6-17 years old
$3,600 per child under 6 years old
All working families will get the full credit if they make up to $150,000 for a couple or $112,500 for a family with a single parent (also called Head of Household)
They don't talk about families with 27 mothers, 1 father, and a Great mom , but I guess they would surpass the income limit or the kid limit. I can't see the USGov paying $208.000 to one "family", or that family having $208.000 in tax returns.

The MC works for Marks Female Dorms, like Norah and Martha. Martha and Norah got a loan just before the first chapter to renew the houses:
Also, Norah and Martha get a yearly check with the earnings from the cloning company (enough for Norah, Erika, and Daphne to live comfortably. Even when Norah was eating 2 pounds of croissants for breakfast and half a cow for lunch.)
They aren't involved in the company management, it's all controlled by the Foundation. They don't get any information but they get the money.
The father got the family money and fled so, until the loan and the first payment from the university arrived, Norah was paying for both families' expenses; that's the reason for the MC paying for Martha's dresses and all the date stuff, even though they're not romantically involved yet.
But Norah's pockets aren't very deep and that's why the loan wasn't enough to renew both houses (the costs of renewing Martha's house skyrocketed due to unforeseen circumstances). Now, with the money Jonas is going to pay them after the contract renegotiation, they will be able to finish the renovation of Norah's house.
The gallery coding will be done by RiamMar and it will be integrated into his awesome mod. I'm lending all the support I can to him and he's helping me with coding issues. I can't give you a timeframe for the gallery, as he's working on the Bios page, an interface overhaul, and his trademark choice changer.
I'm a chimpanzee jumping on a keyboard when it comes to advanced coding, and I prefer to leave this kind of thing to the people who know how to do it while I dedicate myself to advancing the story. If I were to make a gallery, I would probably have to stop writing/rendering for too long in order to study how to do it, and the time between updates would suffer.

I'm going to give a small sneak peak and a bit of a time frame as well as what we are/ I'm doing.
I always need a break from the bios pages. I alway have something different on the side to code, so if I get stuck, I can make a 180 and do something else, then get back to the main course later with a clean head. That's why currently I have the UI overhaul, which I had a lot of thoughts for while I was a bit sick over the last few weeks. It's progressing well, but I want to get back to the bios too. The menu overhaul should be done this week working on it "full time" or next week, if I mix in the bios/profiles.
Current Progress:

Screen overlay
Save and load screens with optional save naming
The renaming screen needs a bit touching up still
The button highlighting is still missing
I have plans for "delete a save"
Now it's basically grabbing the old content from the preferences, about and help page and move them over to the new screens, which shouldn't take to long. After that, it's adding the new options for the new dialogue box and choices to the settings "tabs".
For the settings page "Dialogue" I plan to have a demo textbox that uses the ingame dialogue box. So basically the "settings box" gets a bit smaller so I can put the textbox below it. This way every change made can be seen without having to go back into the game. It's not that big of a problem, maybe a bit frustrating from time to time, so the time frame given above should be enough. And then it would probably need some testing by "not the coder". ^_^
Which means: After that I can almost start to do some work on the gallery, since I already will have the textbox and quick menu done and only need to do the choices. Around the time when 0.9A hits public, I will probably start working on the gallery.
If I work fast, I could have something to show for the gallery with v0.9B but I would like to play it save and have something that's actually working and is to my satisfaction. So v0.10 would be the saver bet. That's the version I gave TropecitaGames as ETA for the menu overhaul as well. So we will see...
The profile pages will be replacing my mod completely? If I think about it? It has all the girls in it, you can rename the characters on the individual profile page as well as edit their RP if appropriate and it has the "choices made" as part of the bio as well. Since TropecitaGames and I are communicating on what's to be added for the profile pages to the scenes he's coding, we'll probably also add the stuff for the choices as well. So basically, I won't have to update the mod on game releases, the mod can be pre-bundled with the game by TropecitaGames (there's a reason, why I switched the folder name from mods to modules...) and I can concentrate on other stuff we come up with or you guys suggest (or finally actually play the game again *lol*).
I will see if I can push the ETA a bit without compromising code quality and my health.
Oh, and after the gallery is done, we still have the "replay girls route" thingy I'm not really sure about yet. I know the what we want but still have to figure out the how... So I will probably pimp the walkthrough before touching that. (He said touching )

Yes and no. The nice thing about Ren'Py is, the default background of the frame has a blue-ish border, but if you set a background yourself (like the semi-transparent background colour I use), it removes the border and Ren'Py has no border property, afaik. But I did a "border screen" myself a few weeks ago. Will have to see where I put it and can test it. It's basically adding four frames that form lines from top-left to top-right, from top-right to bottom-right etc. I'll test it when I'm back to the finishing touches of styling the box.
Edit: Another option would be to use an image that has a border. Which is a stupid thing one has to do for a simple thing like a frame border, imho.

Was just exaggerating a bit. Half a kilo of croissants and half a pig?
Talking seriously, she had a very unhealthy diet. Imagine someone who hasn't any reason to go out of the house. Her only exercises were her walks to the fridge. She was a bored woman, with low self-esteem, who didn't need to work because the Foundation checks covered her economic necessities.
Something happened to her and she decided to change. She began eating healthier, began doing yoga and other exercises. She began feeling better about herself (mentally and physically), and she continued with it until the end results are what we see.
