There hasn't been an update yet, and by now everyone knows that you can't trust the dev when he announces something.

There will probably be another update, and that will be the final one.

It's clear that the dev is no longer interested in the game and wants to work on his new project.

The dev makes posts on Discord mainly; he hasn't posted on Patreon because, from what I read, there isn't much to say since the dev isn't finished. He's still working on the game, just going through a rework. Dev is focusing on the main story to get it done, and slowly adding in side content while working on the next game

WTF, this is the first time I heard about this update being a rework...
All the posts was him saying it is a very big update and it has tons of content.

Yes, but also reworking some of the game's systems, the developer aims to complete these tasks, as well as the main story and a substantial amount of side content. The developer will add more side content when the game is complete. From what I understand, there are days when he's working on the game, and days when he's working and understanding Unity. Also on the topic for Unity, the reason for the next gamewill be on Unity, because the dev want's his games to be unique and not reuse assets. The only issue for the engine he's using for the art style is that he can't import items, and wants his systems to be customizable, which he can't with the engine that's being worked on now, but as of right now, he isn't working on the new game, just understanding Unity while working on this game still. There will be some new systems with the new update, with a new, clean gallery system, plus there are in-game previews that he puts on Discord for you to see. Here are some of them

So basically the "rework" is not about replacing koikatsu assets and remake them in unity. I suspected that this rework was about future monetisation after the game was complete. I guess I was wrong.

There's a good amount of info on Discord if you want to look at it. You have to use the search bar to find the info, just there's a lot and time gaps between info for you to find, as the dev is a frequent poster, and regarding the rework, the beginning scenes and others are reworked, with the farm system, I believe as well, the new game on unity won't be worked on till this game is done

Unity project was mention as another project/game in the same universe as renpy game

I think I finally got to the end of the last update, slow played it in hopes that the next update would be out before now. Here's hoping it will not be too long before the Dev post an update.

You do realize, if he even releases the update, you'll have to start all over from the beginning, right?

Why didn't he just say all that himself? Why do you have to be his spokesperson? Make it make sense...

Another game to forget about.

How much do you bet the dev will eventually say "now I learned basic Unity I'm going to remake this game in Unity"? Specially since he's reworking things. It's the same garbage as Goodbye Eternity, Summertime Saga, and others: delayed development so you can milk continuous financing.

Plus what sort of moron starts learning Unity in 2025, after that licensing fiasco???

Kind of sad to be honest because I was really excited with this game, with the inbreeding and all that.
