Bruh this fucker farmguy said he will update last month and he didn't, he is delaying the update for like more than 6 months idk if it will be released this year
I dont normally post, but I will say anyone that sees this should go check FarmGuy (creator) discord.
Go specifically to "Sneak Peak".
There is more content there than what you would find on most games. 99% of creators say "working on update" to scam patrons etc. but I dont think its the case here. I think it might genuinely be THAT big and just time consuming for him. He is functionally remaking the entire game.

Hes also repeatedly promised the update would be "soon", and then gave dates like "next month". Next month came and went a long time ago.
Ive seen other devs have a lot of "WIP" that they hide on a discord server. Have you ever wondered why its in a semi-private place the dev has full control over, rather than somwthing public facing like a twitter/bsky, or his own patreon account?
Look, the update could be coming. And I also recognize that youre not advocating that we should all sub to the patreon right now. It doesnt change the godawful communications and broken promises. As soon as he knew the update was going to take longer than usual, the responsible thing to do is to inform patreons (and potential patrons) that a regular update wouldnt be coming on time. Hed lose money, but hed keep face and faith.
TL;DR, do not give the dev money until a new update is actually released, and not a second before.

Been hearing that from Hero's Harem Guild defenders for literal years lol. Over 4 years at this point. Still no update.
As a general rule of thumb, whenever a game starts getting delays, deadlines missed, promissed broken, updates not coming, don't go into the dev's inner circles, in a highly controlled environment full of stans to grasp for info. It's the dev's responsablity to keep the people on his Patreon, at the very least, updated on what he's doing. Instead, I suggest going the other way, and just forgetting about the game. If it does get updated, it's a nice surprise.

I enjoyed what I played, but there is a very clear failure from the dev to properly update the game. By the rules of this site, and in general for most people, the dev has abandoned the game until further notice.
How about you post in the Discord for the dev to see, asking why they failed to release an update?

and start a new project, hoping he dont fuck up the story

Gonna go ahead and say it wasn't ready in a few more days after all. Considering June was five months ago.
I agree he likes to piss people off while milking money from monthly subs and whenever you ask anything about update in his discord like why so long, you'll be removed from the discord server; pathetic....

Guys the energy you invest in this game is incredible. To put pin on it let's agree that this game is functionally abandoned (more than a year without updates, dev broken self imposed deadlines countless times, etc). As to whether it is effectively abandoned or not... is for the future. We will see when we get there. Could be a positive surprise, or a slow trickle of doom or gloom. No need to invest in it emotionally at this point. Cheers

It doesn't matter anymore whether there will be another update or not, this developer has ruined his reputation so badly that he can shake hands with the Harem Guild guy.
Even if he releases a new game or something, his reputation will stick and he won't get any Patreons except from a few fanboys.
