or he really likes Evan Rachel Wood....

Nice find, I've not seen that before, but it's the same thing perhaps - likes the poem/those two lines from the poem and wants to show that off. It doesn't have to have a deeper meaning (though of course, on the other hand it might turn out to be massively important).

One thing is for sure, it's made for a lot of discussion back and forth, and that for me is the sign of a good game - people are looking for clues and answers in absolutely everything!

Honestly since I went searching for my Poe book, it brought back a lot of memories, and I always liked that poem, so I could see that as just being there for that reason....

And yes, it has made for a lot of discussion and that is defiantly a good thing, I was sitting on that Evan Rachel Wood pic for a week hoping someone else would stumble on it, lol

My understanding is they think it's "the woman who gets a tattoo there is a slut", and that it therefore sends the message that she is a slut. There's no message that the tattoo in itself sends, it's not like it's a Queen of Spades tattoo or anything.

I also wonder this; How can a woman who was so hot and naughty in her youth be left without anal sex? I don't think saying "I'm scared and I don't want it" won't save a young woman.

Well, first of all we don't know that she was naughty in her youth (and technically, we also don't know that she was hot, though we've seen a "younger Vivian" render the dev shared). Secondly, being "sexually naughty" does not automatically mean that you have anal sex. Lots of people who you might consider naughty do not want anal sex, for a variety of reasons, just as lots of people you might not consider naughty do have anal sex. And saying "I'm scared and I don't want it" won't save a young woman... are you talking about rape there? Because that sounds like rape if she says she doesn't want it and you're saying that wouldn't stop it from happening.

I said that Vivian is hot and naughty by looking at her tattoo. I think Christian will answer the rape part in the later stages of the game. I think Christian will not be done with her until he tastes Vivian's back hole. We will see whether this will be consensual or rape..

I've said it multiple times but I don't see how this VN could have a "good" ending
If Vivian and Hutch would stay together, it would not be a good ending
Christian pays for what he's done
Hutch finds love elsewhere
Vivian has to pay for her betrayals
you have already explained a possible happy ending for hutch ... thats what most readers are hoping for in the end. thats not a good ending... just the best of the bad endings.

Of course, not everyone has the same idea of what a good ending would be...so perhaps it could be an ending that would be good to most of us. We shall see!

As things progressed, that initial mental preparation meant her defenses were low - she was expecting that she would have to do something to rescue the situation, because Hutch was showing that he wasn't going to be able to win the day through his own means.
In all fairness, Vivian didn't even give Hutch a chance to do something. She commandeered the whole situation, and basically shoehorned him into her plan. His agency was taken away from him, by her, the moment he told her about the lost accounts. Just another example of her self-centered narcissistic personality.

Unlike some people who have discussed this previously, I think she is genuinely remorseful for the hurt she is causing Hutch, she's just in too deep and feels it would be worse to stop than to continue - "I mean... after everything I've been through.... WE... what we've been through... we wouldn't want it to be for nothing... what we've gone through so far."
I agree she did not do it to humiliate or hurt Hutch, after all, in many places she demanded that Hutch not find out. Her completely lying to him also inferred her trying to keep the secret.
Her continuing to use "WE" instead of "I" though, is a big slap in the face to Hutch. He didn't have any say in it. It was not his plan, nor a joint plan, in any way. Just another example of her selfish personality.

I don't know how he managed to stay married to her for 22 years. He must really love her, and as they say, love is blind.
They also say beauty is only skin deep, but ugliness is to the bone!

Honestly I don't know about that, Hutch seems to be a weak type man, when cornered he crumbles, and I assume over the last 22 years Vivian had to take the wheel a bunch in the decision making, I have to do that for my wife, if faced with a challenge she thinks is a waste of time, she would rather tuck away and hide rather than face the problem head on, I have had to create plans for her a lot, and I would not call myself self-centered or narcissistic, or selfish, just the job I have to do as a husband to get her motivated, (though I am not fucking her boss, nor would I, pew) and I have a friend that is also a lot like that, his wife is the pants wearer in their house, he would rather not think about shit, let others deal with it...

now in both people they suffer from depression, and that can play a big roll in giving up power to a spouse, it also comes off as lazy....

I don't think Hutch is weak... I think he is controlling his emotione highly. Look at his facial expressions when confronted... THen there is the time he clinches his fists.... then lets go.... I think he is more complex than we give him.. to soon to tell.
I don't mean weak in all phases, he may have some dog in him, but it seems to have been beat out of him, probably letting Vivian take the wheel too many times, it has become second nature to him to just pass the buck so to speak.

I just don't see Vivian as controlling either, just having to do what has to be done for the family, obviously before fucking the boss, that's a bit over the line, lol

he just seems content with letting her handle things...

I guess weak in decision making, or problem solving...

one example is buying her the expensive car, he assumed she wanted it, and did it without speaking to Vivian about it, he seems to make decisions based on what he thinks people want, instead of asking what they want....

self-centered narcissistic personality.
self-centered i agree... narcissistic personality.... not sure about this have to wait for the next update. her taking action can also be interpreted as a recurrence of past incidents that we don't know about. not defending her actions but there is always a cause and effect and she might have thought that she help where she can. or being a teacher she is thinking along the lines of using simple solutions for complex problems.

I agree she did not do it to humiliate or hurt Hutch, after all, in many places she demanded that Hutch not find out. Her completely lying to him also inferred her trying to keep the secret.

there is duality in the actions and dialogue where she is at one moment a faithful wife the next a woman in love with a stranger to put it mildly. the instances she demanded hutch not find out is again a different kind of dual image of vivian. she believes a person who openly says what he thinks is going to keep it secret when she asks him to. and even in those situation christian already knows that hutch knows the moment he was the dinning table chair was out of place and there show the camera behind him in the render.
the we and i dialogue is another such situation it is shown as if she just says what she is thinking then remembers she is married. logic wise this is where she should have said no and taken a firm stand and say that she is a big girl and wont do that... but if she did we wouldn't have any more updates for the vn.

as you said love is blind but i don't think that the flaws that vivian has in this vn cannot be related to real life. it would be interesting to see how the dev fixes the liberties he has taken with the lead characters and makes them seem real.

I just don't see Vivian as controlling either, just having to do what has to be done for the family, obviously before fucking the boss, that's a bit over the line, lol

yes couldn't have said it better... if she was she couldn't have been so easily manipulated. hutch on the other hand has yet to show us what he is capable of... right now all the focus is on vivian bending over for the boss without a thought for her partner ... but she isn't the only protagonist as the tag implies... hutch might have more layers we have not yet peeled.

PS: in regards to the 22 years of marriage and the liberties the dev has taken showing the character flaws.. people in general tend to pick up on how their spouse is emotionally just with a few interactions. there are people at the other end of the spectrum who don't even know what their spouse feels. lots of history might be dumped on the reader when it comes to the next 2 updates dealing with vivian and hutch. right now all we can do is assume.

I disagree. DarkArchon says most of what I think about that, though, so I won't repeat it all. I think Vivian was sucked in, and was definitely mentally prepared and even longing for the second kiss to be on the lips. I think she knew when the dress arrived (and maybe before, with the "if you're not there, it's over" speech) that she might have to approach, and possibly cross, a line during dinner. As things progressed, that initial mental preparation meant her defenses were low - she was expecting that she would have to do something to rescue the situation, because Hutch was showing that he wasn't going to be able to win the day through his own means.

She insisted on going to Christian's house because she was played, though. She realised shortly after arrival that Christian was testing her and not Hutch, and that was one of the final steps in realising what was to come that night. None of it (on her side, at least) was about humiliating Hutch. I just don't see anything that she does as intentionally being done to humiliate him. Yes, it's a humiliating situation for him (although the pain is a much higher feeling, I'd say), but there's no indication whatsoever that there's any intent to humilate on Vivian's part, or that she gets off on humilating and/or torturing him.

On a different topic. Sometimes text in a tattoo is just text in a tattoo. It might have no relevence to the story whatsoever. It could literally just be the dev's favourite poem or just a random line that he really likes, and he thought it would be a nice addition.
well if your correct in your statement then vivian truly is the dumbest woman ever born into this earth. lets see here, 5 minutes she allows the boss bend her over knowing at any time the husband could walk out or see her getting banged but she has no self control and does it. then after dinner says hey im a big girl im going to sleep in the same bed as your boss but dont worry we are just going to sleep . through the night she and the boss are moaning an screaming loud enough for the naighbors to hear and she still thinks hutch has no idea whats going on and sleeping lol. then leaves room with boss and bangs in kitchen still thinking hutch is sleeping as she moans again loudly. then goes back in bedroom and continues until morning still believing hutch is still asleep while she continues to moan an scream in pleasure . even after the boss tells her if she was his woman there is no way he would let into another room all night alone mocking her. not at any time did she think this situation is humiliating as hell to her husband ? not any any time did she care? did you watch the scenes because she really seem to enjoy herself . she knew it was humiliating and she got off on it.. now did she feel guilty and remorse for humiliating her husband .. sure she did. did she stop .. NO. did she go back for more at his workplace YES . does she feel bad for humiliating hutch .SURE . does she stop humiliating hutch NO .. DROPS THE MIC.

I have had to create plans for her a lot, and I would not call myself self-centered or narcissistic, or selfish, just the job I have to do as a husband to get her motivated
I assume you would at least discuss, or even tell your spouse what your intentions would be beforehand, as do I (and my spouse). It's never "I will do this and hope she does not find out" kind of situation. To me, that would be selfish and self-centered. You are either a team or you are not (regardless of who takes the helm at times, or shares the lead).

he just seems content with letting her handle things...
Perhaps, I'm still not completely sold on this. The situation on the surface looks like she is trying to help him come to a solution, but ends up dismissing him and taking over completely. Personally it looks like she is trying to preserve her life style, regardless of Hutch's emotional state (selfish tendencies).
This might be a reoccurring theme in their marriage, we don't know.

one example is buying her the expensive car, he assumed she wanted it, and did it without speaking to Vivian about it, he seems to make decisions based on what he thinks people want, instead of asking what they want....
Interesting point, but not enough info to draw such a conclusion. She might have been hinting that she would like a new car in the past. He might have wanted to surprise her with grand gift of appreciation, and bought her dream car as a birthday/anniversary gift.
As for asking people what they want... that's a bit of a assumption. Did Vivian ask Hutch what he wanted? Did Christian ask Hutch or even Vivian what they wanted?
If anything that last scene in their home paints the picture of neither of them knowing what the other wants, nor admitting to what they themselves want.

-----------------------

Is he weak? Not sure. He is obviously a broken man, it happened when he saw Vivian in the backyard. He would have been in a state of shock for days, probably the reason why he couldn't bring himself to do anything and why he was so easily manipulated. For a brief moment, he did try to go to her rescue when he thought Christian was about to force himself on her in the bathroom.
SC Stories said the third part will delve more into his state of mind. I guess will will find out then what kind of man he is. We will also find out more on what kind of woman Vivian is in the next update.

I still do not think that she is completely humiliating him, not intentionally. For me , she is just a compulsive liar. She lies to Hutch and herself all the time, and she bluntly believes in her own lies.

The debauchery in the boss house and all the entailing noises, just another lie to herself. She convinces herself / let Christian convince her that Hutch is sleeping deeply counting sheep. It is like she lives in a fantasy world where she thinks she can do a anything and dont have to face any consequences. Even after Hutch said that he did not have any sleep, she was just trying to convince herself that there is no way he knew what happened. Another lie to herself so she can live in "peace" with herself.

At the same time, there is some degree of humiliation, as she seems, in my view, to try to testing limits, "death drive" as Freud would depict it. It is like if my husband doesnt care, why do I need to stop? So she went to the kitchen, because there is no limits , no one to help the poor damsel in distress. And of course the sex that she was earning for too long.

When she says "I love you" to Hutch it seems that she is trying to convince/lie to herself that she indeed loves him, which for me is far from the true. She was willingly or not just waiting for an opportunity to free herself from this Hutch, or just a little "push" lol.

True that ... But again I think there is something we do not know about Hutch... Also, Maybe Vivian's sex indecretions has been going on for awhile now with others...maybe at school ! Maybe that is why Hutch was adimat that she not go meet him. He knew SE would be the weak one. I think he finally open the marriage so she would be free to have her way with no guilt.
