Hugs should be earned, not given freely to "a stranger" who abandoned you as a child for unknown reasons, otherwise hugs have no meaning behind them aside from a greeting, like a handshake. I too felt like that part was forced and awkward.

Comforting her after the explanation makes sense though IMO. If you can't accept and forgive after that, then you don't belong there.

I mean, I was using a point system back in 2019 where you got "Love points" in order to get into a relationship with someone. I never bothered to change that because I felt like it's just easier to keep it like that and remind people to pick the top option. I would probably use the system I use in MNM now ( and later started to use in MNF as well ), where theres no points but a simple Relationship Yes or No. But yeah, 2019 was different and that's when this part of the game happened.

I see, thank you for the clarification. I am playing the game by always choosing the top option now and reading it like a visual novel, rather than being able to choose anything. And, following that perspective, I praise you once more for your work. Other than this one particular misgiving I had with it at the very beginning, it's a rather enjoyable game.

I also thank you for being kind enough to answer my questions. I now get why things stayed the way they are.

Ick. I hate love points. Thank you for not using that anymore. So many other games that use love points have a cheat mod to go with them because that's how much some ppl hate it.

That explanation does explain perfectly why that scene is the way it is though. Thanks for explaining it.
