I would wait at least 2-3 days before playing since big games like this usually always have some bugs, some are small but others are game breaking. If you do decide to play first time a new release comes out, you should definitely keep all your saves from previous version in a different folder in case something goes very wrong.
Several bugs have already been reported so...

Why do I get Game over when Maria takes to me visit her Boss?? I can see others are also getting Game over but no one is providing guide as to why some are getting and some are not getting game over.
