You could add in school element in the game even if MC wasn't a student, but his "roomates" are and you as her relative and a businessman could come to her school to pick her up after school or doing some business stuff with the school too. Since the game revolves around connecting business there will be more business owners (usually ladies) later on, teachers and school girls are definitely possible (swimming club for example).

Most likely because every man's dream when playing these type of games is to have a harem, and because in his previous game Lustful awakening you can only choose 1 girl for the ending and didn't have option for the harem so people don't want it to repeat again. But I think we most likely will have option for 1 girl ending and harem ending when the game is complete, but for now everyone want him to know that this time they need harem ending so the developer would focus on that path first

I picked harem because I hate choosing. It's a bit strange I guess, but when it comes to porn games, I actually find branching paths super annoying(depending). The last thing I want to do after I finish a game is go back and do it again but this time hold ctrl until I get to a branch. I even, like a fool, often save at choices like I'm going to go back and try the other ones, but I almost never do. The exceptions are things like having a dom/sub path or other fetish specific splits like that as I'm generally not interested in the other path anyway. (God bless modders who add "both scene" options when devs force me to pick between two good options.)
Side note: You mention in OP a mechanism for adding custom characters. What's the process for that, do I just need a character card, or do I actually need to mod files?

I like harem ending most likely because I feel like it give you a sense of fulfilling: You meet them, flirting, dating and later having sex with them. Every single girl love you and want to be with you, and you succeed in convincing all of them to be your wives. You don't feel like you miss anyone and feel like you have archiving the dream of every man to have beautiful women surrounding you and love you (even if it was just fantasy and the MC in the game was the true winner)
And I must say the 1 girl ending would be very tough spot too: You had to choose each girl for the ending, and maybe before that you had to pleasing her and go full on the role specific for the character to reach it. Not to mention the time for The Coder to develop and making each of the ending too....So harem ending would and should be the first to be done
Ps: Of course I would like for the game to have both option but for now just need to have the harem ending as first priority

I am trying to minimize the dependencies between characters, so every girl will have separate story line and can be finished independently and none of the choices will affect the final outcome, also in future if there is a DOM path it will be optional
Adding custom characters is possible, you will need the asset files for the character, it can be styles as per your taste, the game allows you to plug the character into a separate story line or co-in siding story with other girls. For example it will trigger the events, and load the character into locations and so on
Which is the better choice, you don`t want to play through a girls route that you don`t like just because you are forced to do so. Every girl should have an independet route. The best possible outcome is obviously to have a route for every girl but also a possible harem ending if you want all of them, like many japanese visual novels of that type have it. This way everyone is happy.

I think they just meant to say that we won't be forced to do anyone's content in order to progress the game.
