i want to correct you about ''us whining in hops of changing his mind''. this is just about asking a question and expressing our opinion and a mature and reasonable way-granted, we might hope that maybe he takes our options into account-but it's not about winning. the problem is that there are some people who get very triggered or offended who want to escalate these fights-which in turn, causes this drama. that's literally what happened to me a few months ago-and had i known how toxic a few here can be-i never would've said anything. some here are easily triggered by anything.

While I understand what Sumodeine has said about the game, with as many beautiful love options that have been cast our way, unfortunately some of us have found Nikki to be our #1. I respect his vision but at the same time, being a long term supporter of this game I hope against a bad ending... I, like probably everyone else was caught after deflowering Molly with my dick in Nikki's hand can only hope that some sort of 3-way sharing scenario can be worked out with MC marrying Molly and having Nikki moving into our "Love Shack" for some extra spiciness!

Have to agree with you. It's become really bad in some threads, especially for long-running games.
Any voice of dissent, any criticism gets shot done by a small group of supporters who worship game and dev.
I too can get defensive, when it's about a game I like, get annoyed about the endlessly same question, but some people here immediately start attacking you, insult you, treat you like you are mentally impaired and not because your question/ your points are completely inane, no basically just for not sharing their opinion about the game or how it should continue/end/ play out etc..
Even if you know what a dev has said, that doesn't mean you can't express when you're not happy about it or that you still wish for something different.... and let's be honest here, it's not like no dev ever listens to what players want.
It would be wiser to accept that others might not share your opinion, might have different ideas of what they think is the best in porn games and such, instead of becoming, like you wrote, toxic.
OTOH, why would this porn-sharing forum here be any better than the rest of the interwebs?

The dev told him, the players told him but he went on and on and on for about 10 pages then tried to carry the same bullshit over in another games thread.
That was about the time he ended up on quite a few ignore lists including mine.
He event went as far as saying that anyone wanting a Nikki ending should avoid the final update because they won't like it.
And still a certain someone went on and on and on.....

I can't speak about the specific incident, as I didn't read through it, but this is definitely one of the games where the "support group" goes overboard at times.
Instead of going on the attack every time someone mentions to want a Nicky ending, why not just ignore it? In the end it's just a testimony that sumodeine wrote a character people like a lot and wrote the story in a way that grips people.
Wish I could say that for all the games here.
And I absolutely stand by my general point.
There are games where I actually don't bother to post my opinion about recent updates any more, because you get shot down immediately when you don't sing the highest praise for game or dev.

oh please-drop the victim card. my last comment was gonna be ''just seems like a wasted opportunity for nikki not to be a love interest or an endgame option'' after that, i would've been happily on my way........................until someone got all snippy-forcing me to defend myself..........which did last a good few pages-because kept having to defend my views. i wasn't trying to change anything. i went on because people-including you-kept attacking me over my opinion-and viewpoint.

For the same reason Sumo told them not to play the last update, we can all see what's coming.
If people know Nikki isn't an actual love interest then they can decide if they want to play or not. If people carry on expecting a Nikki ending then Sumo is going to get slammed to hell for the last update when they find out the hard way despite being more than informed beforehand.
The same reason people constantly tell certain players that Julia will never be an option in Becoming and Rockstar or Amanda will never be an option in Retrieving the Past.
People that expect that content can then make an informed decision on whether they want to keep playing or not.
Here you have people expecting a Nikki ending, what do you think's going to happen when Sumo launches the finale and she goes her own way, probably with another guy?
The complaining was immense when she brought another guy back to the room, now it's the end game and they don't get their sibling love.
I don't attack straight away either.
I "attacked" here because I had to deal with someone that not only refused listen to anyone including the dev but yapped on about his right to "defend his opinion" yet his "opinion" boiled down to small demands for the dev to make content to suit him. Then he had digs at me in a few other threads and then I got shitty with him.
