Yeah but porn is not reality. The danger today is kids grow up watch porn on the internet and think that is how it is. Porn is little more than make believe. The actress's in porn is not the ones you got to bed with at night (if you in a relationship, married etc).
Also if you look at history of porn and how it evolved. Porn today is more extreme and go to greater lenght than in the past. Because the viewers grew numb to watch the same shit over and over. We get feed more and more absurd shit that is so far from reality it can come.
The good thing with porn though, there is a lot of fetish's and niches. If you don't want to watch some girl get 3 dicks rammed up her ass at the same time, there is other stuff just saying. On another note, main stream porn got heavy competition from "amateure" porn a lot of the reason is people just want to see people they can identify themselfs with (I guess). Silicon breats, ass with inlays and ducklips, is not all that it cracked up to be either.
You're right, porn is not reality. But it does represent the ideal, and it is a business. If you're talking about what most people find most attractive, porn is a very good indicator, because they are concerned primarily with making a profit. It's just like any other business really. They try to appeal to the widest audience possible to make the most money possible. That doesn't always guarantee the best product, or satisfy the people on the margins, but the bottom line is all that really matters. Of course there are fetish's and niches, they just aren't as prevalent because they don't appeal to as many people.
