Again I think we should not mix up development time and in game time. Both are important of course, one for keeping the patreon alive, the other for having a good finished game. But "1.5 years of blueballs" could mean anything in game, and a long wait in game could still be done after a month of development time. But I agree that the pacing in MotH was and still is absolutely great to satisfy me, but I only know it as a finished game.this is exactly what goes through my head. shut up and dance is another game that did the mom scene fairly early and the game only gets better from there. i'm not saying every game has to rush into penetration, sure tickle my balls a little bit, cool, but 1.5 years in and there's been not a lot of progress in the scenes department. how do they pace it? one blowjob, for you, one for you, one for you....okay everyone has one? ok now you get a tit job, you get one, etc. etc. is not exactly a great way to pace a game. so everyone eventually gets sex one at a time per update and the game ends? the pacing of his first game was just way better and smoother. you even have paranormal activity which you can use to defy logic and it's still going at a snail's pace.
Well, that will always depend on the dev - do they see their game just as a way of making money, do they just want to make the game they'd like to make, are they somewhere inbetween? This of course can change: you start making a game for its own sake and then realize the amount of money in it, or something the other way round. There's still a good percentage of people on here who are less enthused about the actual story in games and would rather just skip straight to the sex scenes. I've seen that myself, and I'm pretty sure Devs know that in their minds themselves. Whether they want to admit it or not there's always the question of "If I throw my whole bag at my consumers at once, and give them what that want to see too soon, what's stopping them from moving on to the next project?".
Of course you are correct that there is a good percentage of people only here for the sex. Then again, there is another good percentage of people who like it embedded into a story or an actual game because otherwise they'd be watching porn instead. Anyway, personally I'd say a dev should find their niche and play to their strengths. Even though First Person Shooters sell better than Pinball Simulators, you can make a living creating the latter, and if every game were a FPS it would be boring. Akin to saying "Bud Lite is the best selling beer in the world, so every bar should only serve it" - there'd be a huge audience of people willing to pay for a beer more to their tastes.
Well, some like teens, others like milfs, others like a healthy mix. As for the "Stairway to Heaven" thing: yes, it is quite predictable within a game, but so is "let's fuck right here right now" and there is some kind of logical progression. Again, probably more a matter of personal preference.I really liked this game at begining..but now to many girls (teens)..3 updates no new scene for Julia and Amber..!? I think lots of characters just ruining the game, and story (not just this one)..and line of blowjobs, then line of sex is just boring and predicteble..
The "porn aspect" certainly is a major selling point, but still not everybody wants to have "pure porn". And the perceived silent majority which always takes my side - well, nobody knows the percentages, do they? If we look at the most popular (in terms of average rating) games on this page, we have BaDIK, which I'd say is slow to balanced; Milfy City (quick), Summertime Sage (slow, story heavy), Harem Hotel (very quick), Dating my Daughter (aka "blueball simulator"), so there seem to be audiences for both sides. Oh, another game is there: Man of the House - I think we can assume Faerin will find his audience.Brah It's actually thr vast majority they just are the silent majority who don't post etc. Simply put deliver hot porn with a decent story and gameplay that gives it context and shine it up with some decent production values/graphics and thats it. The people who want love novels and cry about "ntr" with pixels in a game are 1 percent bizarre minority but very vocal and hence thought to be a larger proportion. Play to strengths and thats the porn aspect that regular games can't do. just my 2 cents and back to the hot bitchy sister can I bang her??
