As much as I dislike jumping at Sycho, let's just say he is of the dev's team and as such has to keep up appearances for Patreon and suchlike. The situation is the classic "she's not mum, she's daddy's friend" thing and IMO the story works both ways well enough. The patch may very well be fan made, I am not sure, but there might be a reason why it is comparatively easy even for the very computer illiterate to be able to create it.

I played without said patch, had no issues with dead dad's ex-GF.

OK, I gave in and played this game from the beginning again as we await more updates from Midnight Sin.
I admit I'm a sucker for these management types of games - assigning people to roles and building things up from scratch. What other games like that are out there? I'm eagerly waiting for the next Tropicali update which is going to be the best one so far iykyk

working key.ini that I took from the 1.1.0 game version that seems to work with v.1.1.2
(it's a rar because f95 won't let you upload a .ini file raw for some reason)

I just install the game but I can't see the characters or the scene when he get up of the bed I always see a white smocks instead

You may be missing some Visual C++ runtimes. Follow these steps:
  1. Go
    You must be registered to see the links
    and download the zip file from a mirror site closest to you.
  2. Extract the files to a temporary folder (which you can delete later).
  3. Run the "install_all.bat" file.
That should fix the problem.
