Thank you! I was pulling my hair out over that.

As for what they were doing... Well, to be perfectly blunt I wouldn't have been surprised, nor would I have been against it, if they were spending most of their time with their family.

A good chunk of my family is old, immune-compromised, or both. Now, more than ever, I want to spend as much time as I possibly can with them, even if it comes at the expense of not getting stuff done. It may be my last chance to do so, so I wouldn't begrudge anyone else that desire.

Well the biggest thing is you can't see everyone's project management plan. The people who are doing weekly content from what I've seen is mostly doing it ad-hoc/off the cuff. The people who are doing monthly updates (or more) tend to have an idea of where they want to go.

And yeah, I'm not going to speak for the dev as it could be any number of things. I just know game design takes a long time especially if you want to get right. As another person has mentioned... Covid-19 has thrown a monkey wrench into everything.

If was that, why not talk? I have seen devs with a lot of problems, i have seen some losing someone, i have seen some sick, i'm not a heartless mother fucker, the only thing that i have seen in his patron are art, art, and talking about 0.15, also a good example of that is Braindrop, he is having a rought time these past months, from losing a aunt that was like a mother for him, from a friend and what he does? he stop the pledges, is complete ok to have problems, just talk "hey, i'm having a some personal problems". Don't get me wrong, i like the update of the game, it was nice, but 3 months for that, is a little too much.

And that's up to the person to do that. Some people have a hard time talking about personal things. Also, we are getting the game for free on this website...

Unless your a patron who is giving money to the dev, I don't see a good reason why your upset. If you are one, then I feel like posting on Patron would be a better avenue than posting here.

i'm not upset, i'm just talking, just because something is free, don't mean that i cannot express the way i feel about the way that the dev work, thats what these foruns are made for, if was just for download porn, you can go to some other where there is just a download button.

I was a $20 patron when they were doing monthly releases. they then fell to every other month releases. and i dropped my patreon about 6-8 months after that started, now it's down to once in 3 months, with even less content then the 2 month or 1 month release. at this point im starting to think they just milking the patreon subs.

Well you have cleared that up now but your first post sounded like you were upset at the lack of content. Not saying you can't express it. I'm just noting that expecting the dev to take weight in your words when you aren't giving them money is a crap-shoot at best. I would be paying way more attention to what my patrons want if I was the dev of a game.

Forgottenhheap post for example is something I would take more stock in.

Sure, but just because i don't wear a badge don't mean that i'm not a patron of someone. But in the end, there is a lot of devs that start they game here, and there is a lot of people here that is patron of their games, now, if someone is thinking "hey, let me throw some bucks to this dev" and maybe look at what some people are talking about the game, they will probably think twice before being a patreon of someone. There is a lot of devs here that are making a great job, always talking with us, answering our questions, i'm not saying that jikei do a bad job, the game is really good, have a great history, but the last updates was really small...and by the look of what Forgottenhheap said, i'm not the only one thinking that.

uhm it depends with some games it did when I switched a long time ago but others didn't. But in-between versions there should be no problem. And it saves a lot of time and begging / waiting.

Just create your own Mac versions, with this you won't have the problem anymore. (Download PC version with these steps:)

How to create a Mac version:
  1. Download the Ren'Py SDK from here:
    You must be registered to see the links
    (click on "Download SDK zip")
  2. Unzip the downloaded zip file
  3. Inside the unzipped folder, create a folder with the game name eg:"DMD" (could be anything else)
  4. Open the newly created "DMD" folder and copy the "game" folder from 'Windows version of the game'
  5. Go back to the root of the Ren'Py SDK folder and double click on renpy.app. If you get a warning, click OK. On the left, under "Projects", select "DMD".
just hit "Launch Project" on the bottom right and enjoy!
