Honestly, I fully disagree. Aside from just focusing on the fact that the term 'babe' is usually used by inexperienced couples to show possession in public along with some minor amounts of demeaning/belittling/infantilization, (take your pick,) Velle is often shown to be extremely heavily into bdsm and very experienced in sexual matters. Hell, the first time we meet her, she's got some poor bastard bound up for some SM play where she's the domme.

From experience, let me tell you - there is such a plethora of words and terms of endearment - both sweet and twisted - available, that saying 'babe' repetitively like a teenagers first relationship would grind your nerves until it stung. Even assuming she's trying to be 'sweet' in these instances, she'd only said it... maybe twice before in all of her dialogue, and always with a flirtatious tease attached like she's poking fun at the difference in their experience and making it seem like she's out of his reach.

Further, in spite of the fact that they fuck like animals from time to time, every interaction has been building familiarity, but been respectful. It made sense, like a relationship between two humans getting built. There was no clear trigger that this scene would be the one they become familiar enough with each other to exclusively use petnames. (And FFS, it's the same overuse issue that I ran into on Naira's route. Can you imagine MC and Velle fucking when Naira gets home and hears "Babe" thinking MC is calling for her? They could at least have unique petnames.)

I guess long story short, 'babe' is juvenile. I can stand its use in some circumstances where it's relevant as mentioned above, but overall, I can't stand it. The way the writing is going, every girl in that house is going to get called babe, and they're all going to call him babe, and there will be a neverending stream of 'babe' in the dialogue. God I hope I'm wrong and Neferi doesn't get pigeon holed into that linguistic trap. She's been written to be so much smarter than that.
I might be imagining it, I haven't played the game a second time from the beginning, but it seems to me Velle has deteriorated as a character. She was more interesting/interestingly written in the beginning. So there might have really been a writer change.

if you look at the $20 or $50 one you will see a walkthrough locked there.
So? what wrong with that? That does not mean the number of the changes are locked in game. The amount set at the dev's patreon as an incentive for people who really support the developer with real money of course. You still able to play the game without walkthrough. Modder still able to work out the heck of the walkthrough mod if they are paid as well. You can go to ask all modders whether they really need the so called walkthrough from Developers in other to make the mod. Please stop spreading nonsense.

You must not have played Naira's content from the last update then, because that was the offender I was referring to. I have plenty of grievances with her storyline in particular up to that point, but when they go out on a date to the... ice skating rink, I think it was(?) a switch just flipped. I am pretty sure the term got thrown in around 50 times in that one scene whereas neither of them ever used it before, and with Naira's personality generally being shy and reserved, I really can't see her unabashedly switching over to using it with zero hesitation, especially in public.
Ok, I launched the game, went to the gallery, and replayed the event... only to realize I do not remember this event at all (yet it was unlocked)... not quite sure why. Anyway, you are correct on the fact that there were a lot of "babe"s thrown about, and it does feel odd coming from Naira. I think something more traditional would be more at home in her dialogue, like "honey" or something. Although, if I may adddress your little "especially in public" comment, shy people are not shy forever 100% of the time. Their relationships also develop and grow and as they become more comfortable with somebody, and using pet names in public becomes just as natural to them as to more confident people. It just takes more time.
Oh, and they went roller skating.
As for Velle - again, I wasn't saying she wouldn't use it, because at the least she had used it a few times up to this point, but it was always in a flirtatious way to show the difference in their experience. It was never a term of familiarity or endearment because the emphasis was on slightly demeaning or goading MC.
I quite literary have no idea where you're getting this take from. Are you sure some projection, or bad irl experiences are not bleeding through for you here? Because I never had this feeling about Velle's early interactions. "goading" the MC, sure - she was teasing a lot. "demeaning", though? Nope. Not even a little. Even the "show the difference in their experience" point you make doesn't totally sound right to me for this. And I still do not see the problem with Velle calling MC "babe", and in the latest scene, it felt quite natural to me, considering her character, and the relationship they had so far.
And yes, I realize there are some men out there who enjoy being subs. On a personal level, I do think they are unfortunate bastards,
You... u wot m8? Seriously, you're on a forum that showcases games with tags like Incest, Mind-control, Tentacles, NTR, and even Bestiality... and this is the place you've decided to kink-shame at? :ROFLMAO:
On a more serious note - I guess you simply do not understand anything about BDSM. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagnation, but I do know that there's more to that than one person enjoying delivering physical abuse, and other enjoying receiving it. It's all about the ability to deliver a mix of sensations. So if a guy likes being a sub, and gets that from someone he enjoys doing it with, all I say is "gratz dude".
he's a 'poor bastard' that's getting subjected to Velle's appetite both sexual and literal while tied up. She's even able to give the MC a run for his money, and the guy can go for 300 rounds in a day stiff as a rock while shooting loads like he's got a firehose built in. The "Poor bastard" was probably getting the literal life sucked out of him, regardless of if he enjoyed it or not.
Again, you are assuming that the guy doesn't want to be there. Are you under the impression that mind control is heavily at play here? Cause I see no evidence of that. Also, Velle has expresed a level of distaste regarding how ravenous (for lack of a better word) some of her kind can be. Hell, she straight up says that she does not follow her mother's teachings about getting as many men as possible, as often as possible to gain as much power as possible. That kind of implies that Velle only takes as much as she needs, so the guy was not likely "getting the literal life sucked out of him".

Don't get your panties in a twist, babe.

Don't get your panties in a twist, babe.
I don't know why you feel like attacking me over this, but let me clarify a few things for you.

First, you're right. Shy people won't be shy forever. I didn't say Naira couldn't come out of her shell, but she literally used all of her courage in the previous scene to keep MC away from the water nymphs hitting on him. A progressive release from shyness takes time and effort - neither of which happened here, hence why I said it was like a switch was flipped.

Second, you may not be 'an expert' with bdsm, but I am. There is no 'irl bad experience' getting mixed up in here. Using the term 'babe' or 'baby' is literally infantilizing your partner. It is a very soft form of being demeaning that people tend to think is one sidedly okay because it's commonly used. It is in fact just the very softest form of verbal degradation possible - something that if you put it into practice, should be discussed with your partner first.

Thirdly, it is not 'kink-shaming' to dislike or disagree with someone elses fetishes. There are girls out there that enjoy having holes punched into their body so they can be hung from the rafters to feel to like they're flying. I think that's weird, too. In fact, there's a lot of things that I don't consider safe or sane, and so would never practice and have difficulty relating to, so frankly, fuck off with your accusations and personal attacks. They don't help the conversation.

Finally, I never indicated in any way that the guy in Velle's scene didn't want to be there, or that he was mind controlled - but Velle does state that there is a certain threshold she needs to maintain for the sake of her mana, an amount of which only the MC can seem to meet by himself. This means that the guy she had bound up would be playing the role of a cow and getting milked for every drop of semen he has. (And before you start attacking me again with some bullshit along the lines of, 'there's no proof he was getting milked or that there was cowplay!' - it was metaphorical.)

I don't know why you feel like attacking me over this,
I'm not attacking you. I'm discussing your points. I know that not many people on the internet understand the difference, but it is there.
Thirdly, it is not 'kink-shaming' to dislike or disagree with someone elses fetishes. Starting with this one, since it looks lke this is about thie perceived "attack". You really couldn't tell the kink-shaming thing was a joke? Should I make an announcement before every joke, that what I am about to say is a joke to be more clear? I assure you - no torches or pitchforks were reached for were being reached for when I typed that.

Actually, I just replayed that scene as well (seriously, all games like that should come pre-build with a gallery mode) and the only thing Naira said to the nymphs was "Umm..." before MC says "we're good. Thanks" and they walk off. Though, if anything, that shows that she is still very shy. Anyway, my point was that she feels very comfortable with MC at this point, and the roller skating place was almost empty, so the fact that she was using pet names was natural enough in my book. I do agree with you that "babe" just doesn't feel like her style. Maybe she heard Velle use that one, and was using that example to figure out how couples are supposed to behave, but that now dips into the territory of coming up with stuff to make excuses in writing.

This all comes from the same thing - you using the term "poor bastard". I already mentioned that calling somebody that already implies that they don't want to be in the situation. And since you are so quick to look for the demeaning side of calling someone "babe", I'm surprised you don't see the demeaning side of calling someone "poor bastard" - you did say that in relation to real people being subs. My kink-shaming joke was supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek way of telling you that. I guess it didn't land, so mea culpa.
Also, you claim to be an expert on bdsm, but refer to subs as "poor bastards"? Sounds sus to me.
And I still don't see the need to inerpret the situation with Velle and the sub as him about to be drained nearly to a coma. After all, she could have had another "snack" already that day, and/or planning to have another after him.

I guess long story short, 'babe' is juvenile.
This is such a dumb thing to complain about. You don't like the word, cool. It's a pretty commonly used pet name.
I'm in my 30s and I still often call my girlfriend of 3 years "babe." It's not a big deal, and it's certainly not "juvenile."
Honestly, being so nitpicky about a word you personally dislike is considerably more juvenile.

v.17 took ~4 months to release
v.18 took ~6 months to release
v.19 took ~8 months to release

With this it's only logical to assume that v.20 will release in 10 months.

Source? I am a scientist bro, trust me
If we stop playing for 2 years we can come back and enjoy like 8 H scenes.
