Mythos Update - Book Two Begins

A look back at Book One, a look forward to Book Two, and what's been going on with Nine.

Also: "Ask the Cast" and "Ask the Dev"?!

Yeah, she's back!

Bear in mind that I haven’t even begun work on Book Two yet.
What?!
Lazy dev!
I want Book 2 complete for... yesterday!

This isn’t the formal announcement, so don’t start hurling questions at me!
OK.
But why?
When we can start hurling question at you?
Can we ask Morgana as well?
If not, why?
Do you still have your strange car?
How the weather in Baltimore?
Is 42 really the meaning of life?
How much can a swallow carry? An European or an African one?

so you know to get your questions ready and not miss the submission window (you know who you are)
I have absolutely no idea who you're talking about...

You have no idea how it was hard to don't write silly post during one month!
:ROFLMAO:

About the relationships with the NPC, for me, and specially with Tara, it's not that there was few sex scenes.
But that there was no sweet moments with her. No cuddle, no diner at a restaurant, no stroll in the park just for the pleasure to be together.
The relationship feel void.

About all the ruckus with the payment processor, of course I would prefer a NSFW game right from the box.
But if using a NSFW patch is the easiest way to keep Mythos on the big game platforms, go for it!

Since some of y’all care about me.
Can't speak for everyone, but I care for you.
I always like the personal life part of your weekly update.

We got a new cat
I just hope he knows where to poo.

I'm glad you're all doing well. (I thought about writing to you privately, but I didn't want to disturb your rest.) Congratulations on the new cat, I'm looking forward to Ask the cast/Ask the dev.

Gideon's story is my favorite in the series, even though, when you think about it, it's a very sad story. I had to read Harrowhark's story three times before all the details fell into place; the author did a great job.

We'll figure out your support somehow, if not through official channels, then some other way. I don't even understand why anyone would come up with such nonsense. Don't they remember Prohibition?

Here, a picture to lift your spirits:

What a huge damn let down. The detective part is total garbage there is nothing to give you clues on who the murderer is than it just starts with guess who the murderer is. It starts out as a Visual Novel than the story goes awry and turns into a who done it with no damn clues.. it's this person due to the power he/she has. No rhyme or reason. I can definitely tell the developer does not know how to write a detective story as their is nothing but a big board with characters and no connecting clues or anything.. THIS IS NOT HOW A CLUE BOARD IS DONE!

Deleted this horribly done game when I saw this for a clue board..

There is no clues on the board at all... If any detective saw this they would say your a joke and will never solve anything! There is no groupings or associations. It is a useless drivel with guess who done it. At this point I deleted it and regretted putting so much time into this so called detective story game.

I went from Chapter 5.0.0 to the latest down and load up the end save and how does the new update start? Guess who the murder is and you can't avoid it.. game is very stupidly making you chose someone wrong for no plot reason or anything. Just absolutely bad and stupid.

You seem pleasant.

My question is why this game uses English spelling for words like "favour" instead of "favor" despite this taking place in the United States? Wouldn't American spelling apply here?

Have only lurked the thread for the most part - this will be one of the next couple of "never played before" VNs I get into - so not sure where Dev is located. But, many non-US Devs use British English spellings and, due to location, will have users of British English as their reviewers, so things like that don't get caught and changed. Then again, there's one Spanish Dev that arrogantly decided the US (or at least California) got "improved" in his alternate universe under Gov. Schwarzenegger and adopted metric as well as many of the socialistic characteristics of Spain and most of the rest of Europe.

I think there are some characters that would speak with a posh accent, so maybe that? But pretty sure the Dev is from (or at least lives in) Boston Baltmore, so it's probably on purpose.

(EDITED for bad memory)

Nine of Swords is a Baltimorean, even if she's not a fan of Old Bay :D.

About the Britain English spelling, as I'm not English speaker, I didn't notice it.
But I wouldn't be surprised if only some characters use it, like Sophia or Mara, because of their background.

Ask the Dev combined with Ask the Cast?

Yeah!
Now I can procrastinate twice as much.

So I saw some people responding, but I do want to state that I do live in the US - in Baltimore, where the game takes place, in fact!

As for why I use the English spellings... it's a weird story. A long, long time ago, when I first started playing the Lord of the Rings Online (my first MMO), I was actually roleplaying in-game. Since it's a British story, everyone typed using the British spellings, and so I sort of fell into it. I decided I actually prefer how it looks, visually, so I decided to just stay with it.

... okay, I guess it wasn't that long of a story. The even shorter answer: I like it better.

So you just always use the English spelling.
You don't adapt it depending of the character?
Like English spelling for Mara because she's Irish Scottish :), Monica because she's English, same for Cecil, Sophia because... I feel she will use the English original spelling over the new (for her) American one.
And American spelling for Tara, Rain because she want to blend with the rest of the people, and mostly all the others.

I have so much faith in you.
Disappointed I am...
