Also, I noticed that if I keep dragging her to repeated exorcism nights, Kana's status is changed to fatigued. Does that do anything, like making both the MC and Kana weaker in battle or something? I failed to notice any difference when that status pops up.

It was SUPPOSED to weaken her during the day phase on the day she has that status, which makes it easier for her to get defeated by ghosts, which in turn makes it easier for L to molest her during the day. I'm pretty sure that the code for it never got implemented, as the guy above said.

Basically, it was meant to prevent the player from using Night Exorcism continuously for the sake of keeping Kana out of L's hands.

Granted, I never felt I needed that even on the very first playthrough way-back-when. Cock-blocking L is way too easy already.

I think if she hasn't had sex with L or have just had sex with him once or twice, her submission drops when you have sex with her. If he has enough sex with her it doesn't drop anymore. I've never seen submission go up after sex tho... yet

The effects of sex with the MC are based on dick-size, and from what some other peeps were saying, the overall code is pretty complex.

The important detail is that the bigger the better, and, if MC's dick is bigger than L's (yes, you can totally do that), having sex regularly with Kana will cause the submission gains from sex with L to be reduced somewhat, on top of reducing the submission stat with each session.

However, if the MC's dick is notably smaller than L's, then the increase in submission from sex with L is going to grow, and, supposedly, (though I haven't tested it), it can lead to a situation where having sex with MC actually increases submission if Kana is used enough to sex with L.

Supposedly, there's code for an adjustment rate for Kana. That is to say, if she has sex with L, and then immediately with the MC, she's more likely to compare them. If she doesn't have sex with L over a period of time, and then has sex with MC, she won't compare them anymore. Though, I think body development and total submission value might factor in as well.

Either way, if you hit the 800 submission milestone and can't immediately drop under it, you're screwed anyway without the debug, unless you can rush the ending, because there's no stopping the bar scenes with anything except night exorcism.

Though... I haven't tested what happens if you pass 800 submission, and then trigger the events that cancel the blackmail and force L to back-off as part of the True Ending chain... Do the Bar events stop too? Or do they continue in spite of L not acting any more?

The true ending makes it all seem like she was blackmailed as the NTR stops and a lot of the scenes show her being reluctant to actually go through with a lot of it, yet she is programmed to be a cheater, and some parts of the story she's just a cheater. So it seems the creator kinda messed up his vision and we got a bit of this and a bit of that without true coherence since with a bigger dick size she's able to just reject Lawrence which makes it kinda obvious that fucking lawrence in town was a choice. If she was simply a cheater who cares only for dick sizes she would still cheat after the name reveal.

I don't think that it's contradictory. At the end of the day, it just suffers from the fact that it's NTR, and NTR has certain genre conventions that can't be entirely ignored. The one that's most relevant for Nebel is the fact that in NTR, sex is always, always much more impactful than in reality. In the sense that the effects of good sex on a woman are similar to doing hard drugs. It's a very real addiction and NTR "victims" generally have the same issues resisting said addiction as real addicts. That is to say, you can rehabilitate them, but you have to avoid dropping the stuff they're addicted to under their nose or else you risk relapses.

In this case, the sex and mind-blowing orgasms get increasingly addictive to Kana, and as long as she keeps being tempted, she has a hard time resisting, just like a junkie has a hard time resisting if you stick their poison of choice under their nose and tempt them with it.

If the blackmail is stopped, her dealer suddenly is out of the picture, and she can go through rehab.

Beyond that, the whole point is that Kana's situation starts with blackmail, transitions into her feeling increasing levels of lust which battle with her affection for the MC due to her growing addiction and can either be resolved by getting rid of the antagonist (and thus the source of her addiction) or her reaching the point where her addiction is so strong that she doesn't care about anything else but satisfying it.

If you compare it with various junkie situations, some of them end horribly and some of them end well, depending on how quickly the problem is discovered and the level of help the junkie gets... but serious addictions always require the full removal of temptation. Hell, even minor addictions have that issue. I have a family member who smokes and keeps trying to quit, and they keep failing even with support from the rest of us.

Well it fails to be a good NTR due to trying to tell a proper story. Then everything has to be elevated above ground level tropes. Suff has to make sense and feel coherent. Tsu knew about it in the dungeons but didn't know about it in the town. Kana never acknowledged anything, or even felt guilty. Tsu was just a device in town on a day to day basis, not a proper character outside story progressing events.

It's so sad. Such good art, such intriguing mechanics bogged down by crap choices and obviously a overall experience that is unrefined and unfinished.

One of the best games i've played with story that has done NTR justice was amelia Blanchette Falls Over and Over Again. That was amazing with how corrupt she progressively became. Now it's not without it's faults either as the mc's dick was the least thing she wanted to experience in certain routes while fucking the entire school, or some absurd fetish scenes was something any slut would say no to yet Amelia jumped at the chance without a second though, but it was solidly told and didn't feel like it was missing anything.

It's the same with normal games. Some like RTS, some like turn-based, some like RPG, some like city builders,...
As for me, I can confidently say that this game is one of the ero game that I spent the longest time playing. Even now I still come back to it from time to time.

On the one hand, I love the game and spent an ungodly amount of time with it. I still consider it THE best NTR game out there, in terms of it being a NTR game, and not just a game with NTR tacked on, or a VN in RPGM or any number of things that aren't really games except in the most bare bones way possible. Nebel actually integrates its smut into the gameplay, as much as it can anyway, and preventing the cucking from happening actually takes using the brain a bit... not much, admittedly, but a bit.

It's a lot more than most games that have avoidable NTR only in the sense of a binary choice that goes "You want MC to get cucked? Yes/No." with maybe a bit of a choice in terms of who the MC gets cucked by.

Now, obviously, the game isn't perfect. Covid fucked Nebel hard, and not in the fun way, and BBQ didn't have the time or money to keep working on it.

So it does have issues, particularly around the MC, who's not given any real reason for why he doesn't say anything about the stuff he sees during the day phase. Granted, on a 1st playthrough, you're actually unlikely to see anything during the day because of very limited access to hi-res cameras and the fact that you're more likely to be engaging with ghosts and stuff. So it's not as blatant there tbh. (unless you cheat, but then, that's on you...) It's only in NG+ where you can pave all the locations with hi-rez cameras and gain the ability to one-shot everything that looks at you funny and also the time to just sit around the security room all the time just stalking Kana.

The game doesn't account for that at all, aside from giving you the option to record Kana and sell the videos to the porn shop. I wouldn't be surprised if BBQ wanted to develop the system more... but time and money were not in favor of that. BBQ wanted to do a LOT of things with Nebel, but that doesn't put food on the table or pay for travel expenses.

What we got is still an amazing game in my opinion... but I can definitely understand why some people wouldn't like it depending on their priorities.

In my opinion, bbq should have been focused on Nebel type of NTR games, but nowadays his games are very different and honestly I just don't care about that games at all. Nebel is my one of my favorite NTR game, and I still play it time to time. If I don't care about his new games, then that means many other people same as well, so the situation won't get any better for bbq in the future as well.

Yeah in first run MC is almost blind to anything else. Most of the money went to dates and bandages so not much left to spend on cameras, and I needed to cover as many rooms as possible so all of that went to low end cameras. I was always on edge when I couldn't find Kana or saw her heart rate go red haha.
Second run and onward though is more like gallery mode. The money from selling her videos are insane and by the end of my 2nd run all POI inside the dungeons have hi-def cameras.
