It wouldn't. Neither would the MC designing a spaceship and everyone leaving for Mars. The point is that complaining about those things not being in the game is not logical. It is a netorase game. Complaining that it doesn't have something other than netorase is silly.

If you find NTR grating, don't play games aimed at that kink. Complaining that it's not a swinging game or that the male MC isn't getting any on the side is just foolish. It is literally called "Netorase Phone." Not "Open Relationship Phone." Not "Swinging Phone." The only person it would be fair to complain about not getting any action outside the relationship is Laura.

I want more pictures and stories/routes in the game reflecting my kinks, that's why I take the time to write out my thoughts here. Protagonists are allowed to have sex with other people and be dominant in a netorase story, certainly in an open relationship which the couple enters into here. MC in this story can say multiple times sleeping with others interests him and Laura never entertains it, and there is a route implied to make the protag a Dom but it feels half baked due to the single main route. The key for netorase is just that the protag is willingly sharing their partner. I don't know why the NTR/NTS theme nuances get so muddled so often. Netorase does not exclusively require a beta cuck POV. There was a description a few pages back of a super hot approach to the party scene where the MC attends and played around with Ashley while listening to Laura's moans and can choose to carry Laura home after when she's too tired. Like... instantly more erotic with a way better "being involved" feeling, imo.

EDIT: Found the quote. This post is worth checking out in its entirety as I think davila does a great job highlighting path changes that could be made in the future to appease more readers. Totally get that it's the dev's game and theirs alone, just commenting because I see a lot of potential here:

If she's doing it to satisfy his own kinds and not her own selfishness, then it'd be useful to have a few dialogue exchanges to clearly differentiate the two. Right now, the outcomes are nearly indistinguishable so I totally understand how players could feel that way.

There's this sneaky two-step people are pulling which is to say "This game is X, so why are you complaining it doesnt have Y!", when the unspoken subtext is they not only enjoy X, they enjoy X at the exclusion of Y. Are people's imaginations really so small they can't picture how hot it would be to have Ashley blowing the MC while he simultaneously watches Nathan railing Laura?

Whether a player enjoys NTR games shouldn't have any relevance here, as this isn't branded as an NTR game. It's called "Netorase Phone", so by the same extension it makes no sense to say "dont play games aimed at that kink" (NTR).

No, there's no sneaky two-step. I enjoy Y just fine. Complaining that there's no Y in a game explicitly about X is not-so-sneakily saying that everything should be about your particular kinks, even when some things- for example, this game- are explicitly stated to not be about those kinks.

Complaining that there's no Y in a game literally called "X Phone" is wrong-headed. Asking for Y, hoping for Y, whatever, that's up to you. Seems like a better prospect to go find a game geared to it, but you do you. But complaining that it's not there is just the usual NTR/cuck thread whining that everything isn't exactly as you would have it.

X isn't to the exclusion of Y in this case though - that's the point. If X was harem and Y was free-use fuckfest, I'd understand the incongruency. There's nothing about nts that inherently demands subjugation of the boyfriend. There are certainly subgenres involving such, but the overall category doesnt require it.

Some people on this thread such as myself are simply saying "I don't like the way the game has leaned in hard to the nts humiliation subgenre".. to which you and others have replied, "If you dont like nts look elsewhere".

I dont really know what we're arguing over - you yourself earlier had brought up that Laura's dialogue doesnt neccesarily reflect MC's prior choices and dialogue, and I agree that's an issue. A text-based game should easily be able to handle a little variation in the dialogue routes, unless you'd prefer it be purely kinetic.

Hello everyone, and welcome to our Tuesday Showcase!

Before giving you a preview of version 0.9, I'd like to address the state of the game.

As most of you have noticed, the rewrite of the Messages system didn't completely remove the soft-lock issues.

Basically, most of these issues are due to the game code being initially made for a 2 hours game built in three days. Its success made me extend it, but it created a lot of spaghetti code resulting in its state today.

For version 0.9, I'm rewriting the main game loop, in order to know exactly what's happening every frame. This will either remove soft-locks, or allow me to know EXACTLY what's causing them.

The bad news is that this work won't allow me to write three new chapters for version 0.9. I'm aiming for two new chapters for this version, and will try to catch back with version 0.10.
That being said, here's a small preview of Chapter 19, summarized in a single picture:

I've got a Submissive, Dominant and Balanced playthrough and only got the one pic on all three. My guess is the trigger has something to do with your interactions with Nathan. I think depending on your dialogue choices with him he may get really into showing off to you and start sending you pictures of other girls he's fucking.

On that note, I am almost positive that he has fucked Ashley in the past, as Laura was introduced to him through Ashley, and I think if you're nice to him he may have old pictures of him and Ashley to share in the future. For all I know, Ashley might have introduced Nathan to Tara at some point in the past and there may be old pictures of Nathan and Tara that Nathan still has that he'd be willing to share.
