The problem is this will probably just be a small update when it does get released, it's sad really. We were so close to the end then he re-does the whole thing? Could have saved all the 'new' features for his next games...
but where is the low efort milk? but at this point i think he will barely get any money....

@ Pumpkin

i have a few suggestions of games i am enjoying.

Midlife Crisis, despite the graphics being kinda shit in the early part of the game, the story and dialogue are great. and it is a long game so taking me a long time to play it through.
also Bare Witness is a great game too.
not sure what kind of games you are looking for but there are lots on here. i recommend checking out the current updates and see what you like there if my recomendations aren't of interest to you.
i have so many games i have yet to play that i have downloaded.
enjoy your gaming.

I really like this game, but unfortunately I think that we never will see this game completed.
More than 7 months after the last update and we not even have a ETA for the next update.
Maybe next year a small update appear and after this more one year of nothing.

Just look at previous posts before asking. The developer is working at the game but it's not his main job so he does that in his spare time. He has some people helping him with the interface that caused him many troubles (he made big changes to that). The tag "abandoned" is actually false, as false as the labels of Season 1 and 2 given to the same game pre and post remake.

To quote HoneyGames "I really hope to release the game next week (the following 10 days I won't be home and won't be able to work on it, but I will then be able to work on the game iniinterruptedly until the end of the year having settled 80% of my work commitments der 2022."

That was on July 9th 2022, so nearly 4 months later no release and not even a message for his paying Patreons, HoneyGames is either a grifter or a lazy developer who doesn't give a shit and will collect the money but give nothing for it. If he cared one ounce he would at least address the people who continue to pay him money.

On a personal level I don't know what HG does for work but I have time despite working two jobs, one 5 days a week full time and the other 7 days a week part time, also I am on call 24/7/365 no matter what if there is a fire or building problem. I have a hard time with the lack of empathy with his patreons, they are giving him money and he treats them like they are a cheap prostitute but worse.

I've said before I would make a one off payment when the game is completed ($50+) because the developer imho can't be trusted, I love his game but his people/patreon skills leave a lot to be desired.

Independent of this project/game, do you think HoneyGames will do something like this again or will he literally hang up his "porngames boots"?

I wrote about the status tag, that the game is technically not abandoned because the developer is "active" on Discord and he's working (slowly) at the game with the help of other people, so it could be more like "on hold" but not abandoned. That's all. The problem you tell is with his patreons that receive no communications and no content, but I don't understand this constant complaining in so many threads (many games are updated slowly) coming from people that pretend to receive a service they haven't paid for, and protest about that. I'm fully fine with piracy, warez, cracking, I never paid to watch a film on stream and so on. But at least I don't complain if a software I haven't paid for, gets no updates for lack of resources. I look for an alternative and that's it. If it's very important to me and I can afford it, I pay for it (almost never happened, I usually use free software for work).

Probably you are an alpha Super Army Soldier Superman that despite the massive daily workload has also plenty of time to fully satisfy his harem of beautiful Russian models and saving babies from burning buildings. :) But most people are exhausted when they end their regular job and they have to manage other things like going shopping, fitness, home cleaning, family and so on. That's why many developers have hard time putting up updates regularly when it's not their daily job. This game is also much complicated regarding the plot so it's not just a matter of creating CGI images.

That's fine and it seems to me the most correct approach, and I also think we all agree that HG is lacking in the communication aspect. But if his (very very few) Patreons are fine with that, what can we do about it? I just offered him my help because I can code and I often looked at the source of NCC, I don't really see the purpose of complaining about the service to paying customers in a pirate forum.
