I doubt DLSITE is hosting their own data, and if they are, they can still perfectly get an external host to host it for them and probably save on mainteinance of their own.

tbh I got a game from dlsite a long-ass time ago, didn't know about locale and all that so I talked to support. We got to talking about loli games on the site for some reason and he specifically said "yeah, some games on here aren't exactly legal". That one caught me off guard but I didn't address it. I was more interested in the fact they are fine with selling utterly illegal games.

For everyone worried for the censorship I would like to give a last "pointless comment" because I don't want people to fight over what's a potential jewel of a game.

Around the release and subsecuent upload of the ver. 0.54 some members stated that some art didn't uncensor by the normal method, and might have been baked into the art or something, to wich there was a coment around (same for translation) that our comunity would use already uncensored assets if the mosaic were to be baked (yes, we all tought this a year ago, not sure why the surprice then).

I'm not a moder and I can't speak for the people that stated that back then to do so now on release, but have some faith on the comunity, there are many artists and other degenerates here that will work this out even if is censored to hell and back

I mean, c'mon... This is by far not the first game with baked censorship that gets community uncensored, and you can bet your nuts this is not the only site where people is thinking the same, let's just chill out a second and hope D-Lis makes it to the goal line soon.

D-lis was hit with an order to fix his censorship so it cannot be decensored by removing the mosaic overlay, which is a brand new requirement by dlsite.

Now people are ranting against Dlsite, the japanese government over censorship laws, and some people are confidently overexpressing their stupidity on all the above topics.

D-Lis was ready to publish the game on DLsite, but DLsite didn't like that the game had no built-in censorship (the censor was essentially a post-processing filter), which forced D-Lis to delay the game for another 2-3 days (his latest tweet specifically mentions this number of days). The reason for DLsite's demand for built-in censorship is due to weird Japanese laws.

Now, there's one guy in this thread that is throwing a hissy fit, which isn't that bad, but he's writing freaking walls of text and the funny thing is, everyone here actually agrees that this whole situation with DLsite is weird, and that law is strange, but that doesn't stop the one guy from writing those walls of text in response to any comment that wants him to calm down.

I pretty much went mostly HP, cuz like... it's an H-game. But I don't seem to get the survivability I thought that'd give me. It kinda seems like you're meant to 1-shot enemies with mad atk. Especially given the HP of some bosses like the spider thing or the hot-as-fuck succubus. Also considering you can't even equip some swords without loads of atk.

Parasite in City would be my guess. A pretty good game, actually, with excellent sprite-work. Wish the guy made more.

Yeah, this game, being essentially a porn version of Dark Souls, wants you to learn how to dodge enemy attacks instead of just getting a ton of health and tanking their hits (extra health still helps, though). I do agree that enemies and bosses get a bit too tanky during and after the laboratory stage (the area with a succubus boss).
I went through the game using a DEX build, because I like using fast weapons. Another advice would be to try and learn how to parry (block plus up), because once you get the timing on parries, you can stun and counterattack every enemy in the game.

The only individual I think is stupid or unreasonable is the person who thinks they're all mighty and have the answers and knowledge of the world.
They talked about servers being simple knowledge and claimed "not schooling me because it would be a loss of his time".

Very much like in Dark souls, if you pump everything into HP, the initial or weaker enemies will have a..."decent" drop in damage, but most of the enemies in more advanced stages will still destroy you, specially bosses.

The best thing is to just upgrade stamina and the stats of your weapon of choice, and rely on dodging and potions.

Magic is a meme...Unlike in Dark Souls.

About steam, their rules are actually "softer", BUT they just reject a lot of random shit.

I also honestly just don't like people seing I own porn games, so Steam would not be my main choice for games.

In all honesty? CI-EN offers you a way to "Place a release" on a post that you can unlock with a donation. Would've put it there besides DLSITE and try to put it in other places, as long as they don't ask for money for putting it in their platform(They'll ask for the %, but not for initially putting it there)

That said, where Steam seems to get the reputation of allowing anything comes from the fact their rules are vague and inconsistently enforced, especially when it comes to japanese games, which tend to get hit with the bans and rejections far more. In comparison, all DLsite typically asks for is that the work follows Japanese laws, which basically means mosaics, black bars, or whatever to censor. Sometimes they do require more than the competiton (like DMM), which means bigger mosaics or whatever, though typically this only happens for certain loli content. But in terms of content, pretty much anything is allowed. There's a list of games that are banned or rejected that is consistently updated here:

It's more the fact that they forced them to add the "uncensorable without editing assets" censor when it has had a normal censor up until now.

Personally, censored assets feel, to me, like they should even try to draw the assets in the first place. Not to speak some of the censors are a fucking joke. The black bar censor that you can see y many doujins that doesn't hide anything but still serves to simply annoy are funny, but at least you can watch the porn.

The mosaic blurs are straight up unenjoyable. Some situations might still be hot, but that's it, isn't it? That is exactly why Japan is such a hole of perverts; You don't get when you want, it doesn't satisfy you because you can't see shit, so you go to "deeper and deeper" shit in order to actually get any enjoyment out of the porn.
