Ma frend i rather give 40 bucks to charity than an update for a porn game...:)
Same here. It's not that I can't afford but I'm not desperate for an update. Any cash I have left or going to get is tied up in Crypto investments.

The entire system is broken. Some devs delay so that they can make dollars, which leads to frustration from the supporters. I wouldn't mind paying $40 for the entire game if it had good reviews, but that cost per update is absurd in my opinion. I recognize that this approach might not be good for devs either, as someone could pay one time, then post it and everyone else gets it free. I don't know the right answer. I just feel like its broken. Maybe a one-time cost plus in-game purchases is reasonable, but I don't like "pay-to-win" games either and it likely ends up in the same situation with someone posting the game for free and the devs not earning what they could or should for building the game. We all enjoy the games, so I think we'd like to see them continue their work, but where is the sweet spot for supporting them? I can't fund a game by myself, nor would I want to do that just so a game could be abandoned. Maybe someone can educate me on what else has been tried (or maybe I don't know how these devs are being paid).

I understand what you mean. I feel for the devs. They put a lot of effort into creating the game and leaking the game is a loss to their income.

I normally play the game for free and if I liked the update I pay either the last tier or the second last tier on Patreon for the month of update. It's not 40 buck but still I do support devs from time to time as I like these games to continue.

It's literally $40 for 3 days...

Saturday it's $20 for gold, then $5 for normal, that's not very absurd at all, those super high tier Patreon's pay for the privilege of having the game before anyone else and who believe in the project.

Yeah but this is an exception now, otherwise its 5 days or so... the problem lies imo what if i'm a 20-10 bucks patreon for i dunno lets say half a year straight and then comes a one time 40 bucks patreon and gets the game before me althoug i supported way more financially... see where i'm going?

From that aspect, it looks like a great value, but when I look at the overall cost of the game, even $5 per episode is costly. This new release is episode 20, which brings the total to $100 and we're somewhere in the middle of the story. Would you pay $100 - 200 for a PC game? Maybe so, that's not for me to judge and have no issues with those that would find entertainment value in doing so. I think that $150 - 200 is too high for such things, but I'm cheap. I'm not really complaining in these posts, just wishing for some system that I felt more comfortable with. $40 - 50 for the finished product is a no-brainer to me for a good game, but the devs need a larger audience for that to work well. Maybe I'm just becoming my father in that he feels things should still cost what they did in the 1970s. I want 1990s pricing, dangit! :)

It's an extra 5 days for the $5 tier usually, but the "gold" has always leaked here before it even gets to it.

There is an unsubscribe button, use it. I don't worry about what other people do with their money. Many don't sub until the update is out (that's what I do for games I like), and he has also given refunds to the $40 Patreon's if they have asked.

There is the option to wait until it's finished or grab the eventual Steam version.

Well, I expected more from the update. As a result, it is interesting, but not enough.
The pussy of one of the main characters was printed out - and thanks for that. Even though I was counting on another one:(
looks like sex with charlotte will be this year's christmas present

$40 per update X ?? updates = $14,876.00
It's not that bad.

2021 = 3 years x 12 months *40 = 1440 dollar.

Your 147600 / 40 = 37190 updates or 3099 years when you pay it every month...
He actually wrote 14876 :) But it would still mean almost 31 years.

I don't know if I should be happy that there's people with such loose wallets or that this enoucrages the whole supporter system, which I find to be the bane of gaming industry. I prefer the old fashioned way: Plan your game, make an estimate, then see if you can find the funds to work for that time. And after the plan was fullfilled, stop development, sell the game and start a new project.

Monthly Patreon subscription is basically for those who want to try and help ensure the project has enough regular funding to keep going. RC has also provided (I think as pointed out above) that the game can be purchased on a per season basis, which is a really great deal. I think S1 was completely free and S2 was something like $10 or 12 USD with the gold package for integrated walkthrough. So like the first 14 episodes for less than $1 per...pretty damn good option. Season 3 (current one) has this episode right now plus one more to be created and then S3 will go up for full season sale as well.
