another cool game with weird design choices
when you lock the game after x days YOU SHOULD TELL PEOPLE !!!
also if you have triggers like x confidence y sociability for story sequences YOU SHOULD TELL PEOPLE !!!
i went to build my character up to 10 - with yoga - guess what you can not - also you miss 3/4 of game because you have a limited number of days and are only allowed to upgrade your character for a limited time / points ?
it may be that i earned too much money ? who knows ? yes , you guessed it :YOU SHOULD TELL PEOPLE !!!
choices, what choices ? effects ?
also unity sucks ass and skip means skip not faster

I find the management side of the game exhausting, but given that story progression is tied to stat and money progression, not really sure what can be done about it. Perhaps be a lot more forgiving on the stat requirements to progress the story?

What I fail to understand is how three people working at full speed manage to produce so little in such a long time. It takes them two months to make 4-5 scenes (~40-50 renders), that's not even one render per day. Surely their equipment can't be that crappy. Maybe it's that "full speed" is defined differently in this beWilderverse of theirs, I don't know.

As a comparison, Philly produces 600-700 renders in the same ammount of time, and CheekyGimp 400-600, surely it wouldn't be too much to ask for at least 8-10 scenes per update.
Hi; hes the artist for NTR. Just wanna take off some things spook wont say cause hes a gentleman.

1- we are 2 people, not 3.

2- we have 2 active projects; 1 side content project active (now Silence and Stilettoes); Pure Wild Package every month (which is extra content for our highest tier) plus marketing images (we need to keep ourselves active in the art forums, like devianArt, if we wanna survive, even if that displeases some of you for the "time invested in that"). All and all we are looking at more than 100 images per month; and keep in mind these are not premade images. Its not out of the market and rendered; we work hard on every image we make, we tailor shaders; we make props by hand; we work on every single one of the characters poses and expressions; and we photoshop all of them.

3- We just cant work on one project. I said it again again; but ill say it again. Im project leader; programmer and artist for AoH. It has the same exact amount of work you see on NTR but i do it instead of spook. I cant just train Spook into learning every single line of code ive put into it after 2 years; and i cant just dump it. Nor i can work on it every month cause; no jokes; AoH months are simply way too stressing for me. I have no weekends; and i have very few days off work which i mostly spend training myself for what the future holds for us and doing marketing work. Having another project active actually makes my sanity come back every other month. I can focus on the art; i can have 1 or 2 weekends like a normal person; and i can live a little. Closing AoH is off the table; and working on just AoH is too (for reasons named above). So until we finish what we started; this is the only way we can do it.

---

We are trying real real hard here; im not playing the pity card (cause i love what i do, so dont pity me); to do things the right way, and believe me when I say spook and I are constantly discussing on how to improve many of these points you guys made and others. So a big thank you to all of you keeping your coolness here and thanks for those long feedbacks; we sincerely appreacite them.

And those of you who dont; dont pledge, pirate it if you will; we wont chase nobody; we wont fight it. We have much to learn and we do want to learn; so dont come here pointing fingers and loud typing; cool it down, let us know how we can improve, what would make you support us, what would make you follow us, or enjoy our games... and i can promise you we will read it; and we will discuss it.

This is the most active forum we are on; if we dont agree with its principles we still agree we can make something good out of a bad scenario. So lets make this a win-win for us all, huh? ;)

Thank you, that certainly clarifies a lot of things. Seems you really have a problem then, you've been stuck at around 100 patreons for over a year, and I don't see how you'll get any more support for this game if you can't figure out a way to at least double your content output. You might need to find a better balance between quality and quantity, because quantity happens to be quite important too, not every image needs to be a masterpiece.

I do like the game and appreciate the work you put into it, but if you only produce what I perceive as half an update every two months, I can't justify supporting it.

By the way, it was this post that implied you were actually three people (as I read it):

We only have one artist and one natural English speaker, but two trained programmers (which is the least time consuming task because of it), so again it's a case of making the most if what we have. It just so happens that on each game we can divide the work 67-33% but not 50-50%.

I legit do not know how you managed to get 3 people from him saying they split the work in 2. Splitting the work 67-33 or 50-50 ... that's only 2 ways.

1 artist and 1 English speaker.

2 trained programmers.

I'm not trying to dig but everything he said mentions 2 ... it's like you learned Steiner math.

Simple, he states that they only have one artist but two programmers. This can be interpeted as three people. The math works in either case. It doesn't really matter anyway, and my misunderstanding was already cleared up, and I hope this clears up the reason for the misunderstanding that was cleared up :)

This is a promising game with good gameplay and outstanding artwork, but if they can't work on it in such a way that it generates more support, maybe they would be better off putting this on hold and work on mini-VN:s and other stuff for their beWilderverse in those months, maybe fiddle with some learning projects as well, until such time when they can give this game some more focus and love.

That's all...

Yeah; sadly I know; we follow many patreons and we keep ourselves active with new projects popping up and it certantly does seem that people prefers quantity over quality.

Ive learnt and tried; no jokes, at least a dozen different rendering methods and engines to find something i can optimize my time invested without a huge drop in quality (cause lets face it; we cant just drop the quality to 800x600px images midproject). Some of them are very promising and we look forward to them for future projects or 1 time deals (like a short VN) but everything takes time if you wanna do it "the right way".

Noone wants more than us to be able to produce more images in less time; and that has been and itll still be our main focus for the last months and the ones to come. We know where our bottleneck is (me :( ) but we cannot make such a huge commitement until we finish AoH. We started it with the same principle we use for NTR (quality over quantity) and right now the most "effective" way to produce content for it is to just use everything weve built for it and deal with long render times for a couple of months; even if that drives us (and you) crazy.

Mark my words; this will change in future projects. If we can make something happen for NTR when AoH is gone; we will too. But AoH has to progress at the slow (sadly) steady pace it is going right now and be able to make it happen for everyone who loves it... until we finish it in a couple of months. Then craziness can come back.

Good luck man. It might not be as bad as you think, since you have already finished the rendering experimentation phase. Now that you're set up, you should be ready to go.

There's some good advice in this thread by potential supporters. Follow what you can and the product should improve.

than maybe  put one on hold ? try a poll with the backers, ahem patreons
or buy a couple of used pc just for extra renders ?

also make story requirments visible - it's a must!!! you simply don't have enough content for replay or for people to waste time going the oher route

good luck

I like this game (and all of the gals). Also loved the intro stories!

But in the end, the story is not advancing for me when I play it. Without a walkthrough I don't know what to do to get the new scenes. After seeing the CG externally, I noticed that the only scene I could see now before running out of days was a v0.4 one that I must have missed when playing that version before.

Hop to see more of NTR, but in-game, not by just looking at the renders after extracting them from it.

I personally started to support the game, than dropped. The thing you should understand: you are either building an economical minigame simulator/deep psychological story exploring the oedipus complex, and should advertise it as such on steam/kickstarter, or a porn game. If the second is the case, than people expect you to produce not only the plot, but porn too, and the whole "minigame" thing is nothing but disturbanse. Moreover, whole game is not comfortable to use - saves are shit, you can not skip in a comfortable maner, etc.

It was a very long time for a game, that is advertised as a porn game, and even more, a NTR game, to allow it to not have any actual sexual content. You can not have 500 mb worth of CG in a porn game without sex. Priorities here are quiet different.

Am I missing something it feels like the game hasn't added any more content since like v0.2? I would like to just be able to play the game, but it doesn't take long before you get to the end of content page.

There are a lot of resourses/points depended scenes, that have no hints on them whatsoever and can be missed (and are missed) 90% of the time if you play without the walkthrough. As number of days is limited, and running of them gives you "end of content" page - you have a very small chance to actually find anything beyond the main story line.

Game is pretty, but made by a person who never actually tried to play such games. It is overcomplicated to the eleven.

If creator likes pretty CG so much, he should have used renpy at the first place. It would have solved 70% of the game current problems, as saves are working and skipping is working too.

check out call of the void and how it links story to character
elements of story are hidden behind character development but they are achievable, once you get them there is no point to grind strebgth or agility
same your game should work
stopping the story after a number of days is atrocious
set your story triggers to visible , viable character prerequisites

Looks like it will be three months before they make the next small update to this, as they're spending this month making a mini-VN. Time to hit the Unwatch button, I'll check back in 2021 to see where it's at by then.
