A-ha!The game works completely fine, but when you have to option to save before proceeding to the next day the save slot doesn't appear when I try to access it at any other point. The same thing happens when I try to save during the work day. I have the mac version of the game and haven't changed any of the configurations since downloading it. Thanks for taking interest in the issue sorry if I came off as rude earlier.
Mac version is it? It seems we might be on to something. I had a chat with another fellow in this thread via private messages today and it seems we might be on the verge of a fix. If not, we've fixed something at least, so that's something. Talk to me in private mail too and I'll see about getting you a test of your own if you'd like. Never hurts to have two confirmations of a fix before updating, or two sources of further info on the issue whichever the case may be. Care to try it?
Fear not about the rudeness, I was thinking my partner on the other thread might have been a little rude back himself (he's the bad cop), but as it seems nobody means to be harsh, none of us have to be. Good fellow for setting the tone straight regardless! He'll see about fixing you up over there if you've still got the problem, I'll handle you here.
Oh dear. Well, lets see what's what.I dunno who Kelsey is as my game ends before she even turns up! I have deleted all previous saves and even the folder in app data but get nothing except the "Save Now" screen
Firstly, the same questions to you as the last fellow, just so we mark off the obvious.
Did your day count run out? If so, that's the issue...
If not, are you using version v0.7? Sometimes we've had it that problem was simply an older version. Seems silly, but it can be the cause.
If neither of those, then I'mma have to see what's up.
Alright, now we're getting somewhere for sure. Mostly Stress doesn't start to really cause Bad outcomes only until its about about 70, but some times bad ones can pop up at 50 or over. Maybe making those thresholds a little tighter on the upper scale so good outcomes are more likely to happen would be better? Also giving the girls a lv2 Day Off Outcome each might just help cut away stress faster... Food for thought as we get into the next version... Good stuff, thanks for the heads up.for me the stress system was the main downside i felt i spent more time trying to manage the stress levels than actually enjoying the game but i think that could be overcome with more variant of activities to decrease stress or adding tasks in the cafe to lower stress does she like baking have her bake in the kitchen to lower stress while still increasing reputation and earning you money just things that expand on the gameplay to enhance the expierence there also feels like a lack of in game direction if it wasnt for reading walkthroughs i wouldnt have a clue on what to do. ill still be checking out the next few updates to see how it is. like i said i love the art and the story keep up the good work guys.
As for your idea, that's kind of what the Entertain task is going to be. It'll be along the lines of say Kriem drumming, which makes a distraction for the customers and gives the servers and cooks a break, so they get lower stress that day. It does come a little late in the game for early players to enjoy it but the thresholds idea above might make it more palatable to get that far.
Now, when you say "lack of game direction", do you mean in the narrative of the story, or in how the gameplay works / mixes with the VN sections? That's an important distinction for me to note down which it is.
We did originally have an option to keep playing after the version end message to see other scenes, but not to be able to save since it would allow for the running up of the scores as mentioned earlier today (which would just be bad for the player in the end).Debating about checking out this update. I am really bitter about when the you run out of the days you can't even play it in a sandbox fashion
Is allowing you to play after the end version but not save be an ability people would want back? I wonder...
