The protags' eyelids clip through eachother in the intro, just before Jamie speaks for the first time.
The 'manly' response when Jamie lets you down seems a bit too whiney, wouldn't it fit the theme of stereotypical masculinity better if the protag doesn't immediately back down from his critique within the same text message?
Why does Emma only show her upper teeth when smiling? Looks weird (and just a bit horselike) to me.
Feels like the point gained notifications go by a bit too quickly, it makes it somewhat difficult to see whether it was a +1 or a +5.
The animations and styling are very nice and certainly give the impression that a lot of care has gone into this project. I would suggest having the transition automatically progress into the first line of a scene though as it feels a bit like a pacebraker to have to manually progress through multiple screens just after an animated segment.
In Jen's first scene she states the initial suggestion initially came from family, you don't need both those initials.
To be fair, I don't know much about chess but shouldn't it be 'the rank of grandmaster' or 'the title of grandmaster' rather than both? She also says 'close to become' which should be 'close to becoming'.
She later says she isn't 'at studying', as studying is an activity and not a location you can leave out 'at'.
