When I first released this chapter I was (and still am) nervous that it might annoy/disappoint some players for a few reasons and you basically touched on all of them. Let me see if I can answer your points.

When I first posted my game on itch.io I was welcomed to this adult game dev world with this review:
1/5 stars, after just looking at the intro. Ouch.part of some review said:
The thing is, I need to use these daz shaders because I’m rendering using a 4yo (I think?) laptop with a 1060. This “toonish” art-style makes rendering much faster. If I had gone for photorealism, I’d make an update per year, still get renders worse than 90% of the games here, and get myself a burned GPU. Between these two choices, the correct one was obvious.
But this style grows on you. Since it’s not so realistic, some of the typical daz uncanny valley is gone. At least that’s what I tell myself

This is the one thing I disagree with, though I know my opinion on this is in the minority. To me, games that "don't want to punish players for their choices" end up with a weaker story and risk incoherence. In my experience, adult games end up in one of two categories:
- Those that want to tell a specific story. If the player likes it, fine, but authorial intent trumps player agency.
- Those where the story is continuously undermined by porn logic, where the narrative becomes a weak string that only exists to tie sex scenes together.
Based on your quoted answer, I'm a mildly concerned that you might be headed in the second direction. Specifically:

I think we are mostly agreeing on this topic, but I didn’t make myself clear and/or used the wrong terms. Let me try to explain a bit better what I meant.
Where I think there was some misunderstanding:
When I said I don’t want to punish player’s choices, I meant about their kink choices. Story related choices will have consequences and the MC has to deal with them. Sometimes it might not be so easy to distinguish between these two, so let me give some examples:

And everyone's criticism is obviously welcomed. This is my first game, my first story. I’m 100% sure mistakes will be made and I’ll drop the ball in several occasions. You, players, should keep me on my toes, telling me when I am subpar, so I can try to learn with these mistakes and not repeat them in the future.

I have the same opinion, that's why I planned things as I mentioned in the other post.
Absolutely. The LIs have their kinks, the MC has his. If there is substantially overlap they will be a good fit together, but if not, there will be “bad endings” where they just realize they are bad for each other. But there’s wiggling room to negotiate with each other what they want to bring in/exclude from the bedroom.

I never pick Cunning. It feels too manipulative and off-putting. If an LI requires it, I guess she won't be for me. I have zero cunning points at the end of chapter 2, so I hope it won't cause any game breaking bugs later on.
Personally, I don't try to guess kinks based on character personalities. I accumulate points in my preferred dimension(s) and when I encounter a scene that requires a spesific kink, I choose (or not) to spend points.
Agreed. The decision to choose one thing is equally a decision not to choose something else. Like I said previously, choices should have consequences

This seems reasonable. My point was you could definitely afford to get exhibitionism and still get all your other Hon skills, especially since you really don’t want to focus on cunning options. You’ll end up swimming on Hon points. Although, I realize it’s easy for me to talk because I know what’s gonna happen. For all you know, you might need those points for the next choice you make!
All of those choices are absolutely ridiculous and played as dumb jokes. But, I mean, judge by yourself.
