Yes, he posted on his patreon a few weeks ago announcing the intention to release a final chapter to wrap up the story arc in November. No other communications so far that I'm aware of, so this Itch update is news.
Update: I checked it, the most recent update is about the skill tree changes. This was already shared here two weeks ago. So, it's nothing new...

I hope development has continued again. Visual novels with a sophisticated stat system are rare. It's not surpising, but a VN that plays like a choose-your-own adventure game is the dream for a player.
is the next update going to be the last update to wrap everything up or is it 1 before the last?
