Being one of many does not invalidate the opinion, nor does it diminish the impact it had on a great many people in any capacity. I'm not generally one to comment much less so argue but i'm not accepting that one. Sorry mate.

Given how influential it's been on people, it seems silly and a dick move to invalidate their opinion.
And given they're not the only one or the first one to be wary about shit like that, they're far from alone in their opinion as well.

Probably a lot of people simply don't appreciate a good story/character development and are just looking for quick faps.
It's a shame, Kinderfeld clearly deserves more attention.

True they don't...but some of the writing in this (or lack of) is straighht out the eary 80's z-film bin. Some of the things the MC does/doesn't do defy all godamn logic. I mean...I've been watching horror for a looonnng time, grew up in the video nasty era...so I've been around the genre and I'm used to dumb-ass morons doing some pretty dumb-ass moronic shit in order to further plot progression...this unfortunately is not much better at all.
I'm personally slowly losing my patience with it/the Mc/the writing.
(as a side note...why is this listed under ilsproductions and not Kinderfield?)

I grew up in the period you mentioned (I'm 49) and cannot entirely agree with your comparison. Just take another look at the old Romero works, compared to their protagonists our MC is almost a super genius. Are individual actions of the MC to be questioned? Sure, they are, but try to put yourself in his shoes, the guy is under constant stress almost 24/7 and lack of sleep, which can sometimes lead to illogical decisions.

He wasn't under that stress before they moved. Prior to that (as he states) he started making preperations.
I could list all his bad decisions (creative writing for plot) but really can't be bothered. I'll continue to see where it heads for now.
That cliffhanger though!, how's MC gonna fight them off?, home ground advantage I suppose and the place is barricaded, most likely make a stand at a bottleneck but they definitely have the numbers advantage, if not the fire power advantage. Worried about the girls. 1 vs ?, I'm not liking MC's odds. Shotgun might be good though, confined space like a corridor but I don't know jack about guns.

Pretty much. Being obsessed over a years old game is a very unhealthy habit.
That is why i try to keep rotating my signatures between games i find good but that have low support.

Kinderfeld is a (sole?) member of ILSProductions. Kinderfeld is the most visible person from the team, but there is a entity that owns the content and works on it. Membership of ILSProductions is not a public list like other games.

Story:
Have you ever wondered to what extent it is possible to take the benefits of every days for granted? Telephone, clothing for various activities in a variety of weather conditions, own bed.
Most games leave the "little things" of everyday life within easy reach of the protagonists as negligible. Often it is not worth mentioning. N&T gives you a different perspective on these “little things” not only from the perspective of the zombie apocalypse (now) but also from the perspective of Carol (then).
Characters:
The game is very detailed in the description of the development of the relationship between the protagonists across the two timelines. It does so in a very subtle way using thoughts, remark and minor deviations between subsequent images. The relationship of the protagonists is thus saturated with emotions in all the tools used with storytelling.
Narration:
The originality of the game is in the careful depiction of often neglected details. It unfortunately can lead to misunderstanding by people who are accustomed to the magnificent actions of magnificent people in stories. They then miss number of details that are essential to the overall impression. The game is certainly not for anyone, however for us who appreciates this form of storytelling, it represents the irreplaceable gem.

I don't see anything good in what you mentioned. For me, this is a bunch of empty text, filled with platitudes, primitive "emotional" moments and other nonsense that does not move the plot at all. The girls constantly tell tearful stories and discuss how much they love the MC. Some kind of sugary vanilla soap opera.
And I would rather not say anything about absolutely dreary sex scenes with default HS animations.
Of course, everyone has their own taste. I'm not going to argue with anyone. I just wondered what other people found good in such a primitive game. And I don’t mean to offend you, but when someone says “this is not for everyone,” it usually means that “this” is totally bullshit. I advise you to avoid this pompous phrase.

What should you tell someone if they have a pre-established opinion anyway, from which there is a very high probability that they will not deviate? No matter what we would tell you, you would then claim the opposite and that is trolling in my eyes, or at least a completely insubstantial and senseless discussion. If I don't like something, then I just ignore it, but I don't have to hear why others feel it differently, only to tell them that I can't understand it.
And in case you've never heard it before, tastes can vary.

E.T. for Atari was a primitive game. Now that is a bullshit complaint about Now & Then. Makes me suspicious you have pretty much no idea about how hard it is to make static renders and animations for this kind of game.
