because there are some people who like seeing individuals be corrupted/shitty or they hate the idea of 'content/ satisfied JUST because of love'. We all know lots of irl couples or soulmates or spouses cheated and most cases of divorce or separations were cause by infidelity. Fictional NTR is just the way creators expressed and explored this theme to the extreme. The more 'betrayed' the male character would be, or the more 'corrupted' the female character would be, thus the more 'satisfied' most NTR fans would be.
Now the problem is, the arguments in both 'COMPLETE SEPARATION BETWEEN REALITY AND NTR FETISH/KINK' and 'SELF INSERT CUCK' are something that I think would never end in this genre. The reason is because almost 90+ % of fictional NTR stories in any medium, the endgame would always be 'bigger dick & better sex' ---> 'fall in love (conquered body and soul)'. There are only few hentai that I've seen explored NTR in different ways, but so far, it's always 'BIG DICK AUTO W'.
At the end of the day, if rape/scat/bestiality (esp insects) CAN exist in any porn medium, then the milder ones like NTR and incest should also be allowed to exist as well. I do understand why a lot of people have problems with NTR genre, but kink shaming this genre is actually pretty useless & pretty condescending imo. YOU CAN'T ERASE CHEATING/INFIDELITY/CUCKOLD even in real life. The difference is, fictional NTR mostly always rely on the 'big dick' to utilize the corruption, while in reality, cuckold/cheating/infidelity could happen because of many reasons, especially cuckold (people seem to deny that cuckold doesn't exist irl, while in reality, there are some people out there who were/are actually in cuckolding relationships).
Some comments here already said it best, different people love different things. If some people love NTR because they self-inserted themselves, or because it's their fantasy/kink (complete separation from reality), then so be it. Do what you do that makes you happy.
