[Big Boss | Erect Snake]

Overview:
This is an in-progress mod that aims to replace all kisekae paperdoll art assets with custom created assets made in the Koikatsu Sunshine engine. This mod will work on all versions of the game v3.5 and later, unless the game dev makes any filename changes to any current art assets that have already been converted.

No other gameplay elements will be changed or edited, and it will work with all other mods that do not alter any in-game character art.

On Hold Notice:

That actually skipped my attention! I gotta give that a shot at how that looks! I tend to have outline at minimum for the game by default, but that's a great idea for this project! Thanks!

Same actually, it just looks a lot better in motion without the outlines trying to remember how they work. Just crossed my mind when I was looking at the paper dolls side by side.

Yeah. In no means is this going to be a priority project for me. I just started a new job that will most definitely be my priority. This will be a thing just for fun, but yes it is a large project. I wouldn't say sisyphean, since it is something that I feel will not only give me more experience modding and creating in kk and kks, but will give this game more interesting art, imo.

Some KK items don't exactly show up the way I want them to for the game portraits when they're attached realistically, so as of now, they're kind of randomly floating in some places so it looks ok for the pics. But yes, I do plan to release them publically along with the rest of my created or modified cards on the kenzato booru

I'm still slowly working on it. I'm focused on my main job and my family as my priority. Plus video games I like playing keep coming out, so I find myself playing those during my free time as well.

PS: Pokemon Legends Arceus is a good goddamn game and is finally a hopeful sign of a better direction for the series.

Not to mention with the new 2.0 update the amount of art you gonna need to make for it has increased by quite a few factors now
Also have you considered making it a bit more obvious that Sinian and Alisha (off the top of my head might be more, specially among all the NPC's as well) are actually chubby/fat by default? I believe that is mainly a restriction of Kisekai that makes them kinda pregnant looking when they are actually not, but just chubby/fat, so giving them a bit thicker arms, legs etc might make that more obvious

Oh, no pressure, I’d love to see how it turns out in the end. You can post progress here if you wish to, I’d appreciate that. If I had spare time I would’ve helped even. Also, you should probably change the number of playable characters in your roadmap, it should be 10 now.

Yeah, they're chubby, dont worry. i'm very particular with how my charas look. its just not terribly easy to notice in the menu, but if you look at Sinian's belly width compared to Nuan's, as well as her rounded chubbier cheeks its easier to notice. I gotta re-render to fix how they look anyway, so I'll see what I can do further without compromising my vision for then in the KK style.

Also, you should probably change the number of playable characters in your roadmap, it should be 10 now.

PROGRESS!
I had to re-render and re-create the characters after I noticed that they ended up breaking. I was no longer able to edit the cards or move/add/change accessories and such after something updated. So I migrated the four of them over to Koikatsu Sunshine's Creator and started over. Thankfully, their bodies transferred okay, but everything else had to be re-created. Clothing, accessories, poses, etc. It wasn't terribly difficult, but it gave me an excuse to change some things. Here are the changes:

-I added a black outline back onto the characters.
-Increased render quality for menu pictures and save screen pictures.
-Changed Lilina's eyes to give her a more serene/beautiful look.
-Modified Sinian to give her more of a belly and slightly larger arms to show a chubbier look.
-Changed their body types to make it easier in the future to put them in more precarious poses and views (i.e: hold pussy open).

These tweaks and slight edits make the mod look a lot nicer imo. Shout out to Johnny4x8 for the outline idea. Screenshots below to show comparison between mod versions. Old on top, new on bottom. I'll edit the OP to show new screenshots in place of the old ones.

Sick. I figured it would help the details stand out and it certainly does just that. Hope there wasn't much remodelling involved, I know first hand how obtuse Koikatsu's editor can be. I've wanted to try a game of my own for some time now using Koikatsu but the animator is just beyond me and I have this issue where I'll try to fix something in the card creator only to ruin it even more. Maybe one day I'll toss the autism aside but I can settle for watching other people succeed for now.
