You are shown a girlfriend who is happy to love him - he dumps her.
You are shown a good time girl approaching him to bang him and she does.
You are shown a stripper not jumping on him but being his house mate.
You are shown a land lady who likes to get his shtick outta boredom.

Those are totally relatable totally IRL possible accounts you can find in the papers.

Once MC is in a single male for the duration of the experience interaction,
girls can get their jutters off him no problem.

All of the bangs we see are some hook ups months if not years apart.

The fact you see it fast forward is not meant to dillute the facts.

I am not sure I get your point here...

of course if he wants this to be a brainless porn game he can just make everyone throw themselves at the MC but I have hope that that won't be the case.
That happens far too often in most of these games. Not just that but all the women are generally depicted as wet holes that only the MC (player) gets to play with rather than actually being active across the game in their own ways that would depict them as enjoying sex like any normal human being would in real life. They aren't going to just all join a fucking harem and why so many games have that as a relative theme is ruining most of these games now. Other characters can't be in relationships? Can't be sluts if they choose, etc? How about the character that goes around stealing the girlfriends or boyfriends from other characters? How about swingers? how about cucks? (yes, they exist as weird as it is)

Very few games have male and female characters that display traits that would be strong from a narrative standpoint all because most devs seem to believe the players only want the MC to have harems of women that just throw themselves at the players. I find that a little bit disturbing. Generally speaking, it's the very top percent of those in our society that can convince women to engage in such behavior and for obvious reasons. The jealousy and drama that goes along with it though is rarely if ever depicted in any of these games because these devs and most players have zero understanding of how such relationships would actually play out in real life. Fantasy wasn't meant to be pushed this far into boredom and it's definitely gone that far sadly. I hope that doesn't happen to this game and it continues to show choices that affect the overall narrative structure that prevents the players from banging everything that moves without repercussion. There needs to be some that actually depict how specific relationships work to some degree where some paths are closed off if you choose others. That's something that makes any game worth replaying just to see the content you didn't see in the first or second playthrough, etc.

Yeah fuck that. I hope this doesn't turn into some bullshit soap opera. The drama it has now is enough. And closed paths suck ass imo.

There is a reason the less reality-based vns are made more often, they pay. Who wants to escape into reality from reality? Not this player.

This vn is unique and not cookie cutter it doesn't need to change...

My 5 cents anyway

It already functions in that manner. Which is a good thing. There specific girls you can't get scenes with if you choose others. Paths can and are locked out because of player choices through the game. How you interpret that as being drama is just stupid. It's part of what does make this game more unique by allowing the players actual choices. If you want to see every scene without having to play through it multiple times, use a cheat system/mod.

I was not clear apparently. I hate the soap opera hurt one to love another bs. Yes there are choices in this vn that decide what you see a given playthrough all though not a huge fan of multiple playthroughs, it's fine.

I was however not aware that choosing one option permentally locked out a character, I'm only one update behind and if this is true that is sad.

Well .. this game starts off very strong and very relatable.
This sets the tone for a more realistically depicted fast stroll through life for a guy going off.
The very 1st episode of grey anatomy had the lead outright bang the guy she would get later.
That was it .. their hook up sets the tone for their awkward interaction for the duration of that season.
The series is still going, just so you can see successful stories watched by millions of viewers worldwide
do have sex in the start, do portray medics horny as hell and ready to bang anytime anywhere,
most of the time in the sleeping room of the hospital.
Most of the relationships there start with hook ups in that room, incessant trolling/flirting/banter
for the duration of their 72 hrs shifts ... and viewers love it and have watched it for many years.

I wouldn't say it locks the path permanently, like you'd have an option to go to the one girl or the other depending on your choice you'll only see one scene, does that lock you out of the one you didn't choose path? I don't think so it's waaay too early for that to happen honestly and I didn't get that impression from my playthrough but I can understand both your points, Bluehound wants a more realistic game where characters and situations will be treated like IRL(to an extend don't we all want that?) but I can understand your point as well, it's a game and you don't want it to be too real.. each to his own I guess hopefully, this will be a game for all of us to enjoy.

I agree with most if not everything you saying tho I think the reason why devs often go this route is because majority of players prefer games where MC is the only male who has a sex life and all female characters wants no other man but the MC. I get that, as I said some people prefer a game that's not too real, like Spf said, he wants to escape reality and a game being too real or dramatic does the opposite of that. But for me personally I don't care much if characters are in relationships or fucking other character like some people enjoy that as a kink, it's not my kink at all but if it's there then it just adds to the realism so I don't mind it much either, but one thing I do hate is when everyone just throws themselves to the MC and when, as you mention certain situations aren't handled properly like harem or cheating. I remember playing that one college game a while back where the MC is a basketball star and the entire school, faculty included wants to fuck him and even his girlfriend encourages him to fuck other women, not because it's her kink but because she believes he can make everyone happy and it'll be selfish of her to keep him to herself, like that alone is so Cringe and just typical porn script and it's so stupid because in the beginning of the game she's so insecure that the MC will dump her because he's kind of famous but then later she tells him to fuck other girls, like what even?.
Anyways I appreciate realism, after all I'm not playing these games to escape my reality, Im pretty satisfied with my life as it is but like I said I get that alot of people's realities aren't the best so they play these games as an escape, just yesterday one of the guys on here(different game thread) told me that he's in a wheelchair and has a broken body and plays these games to be someone else, I can respect that they wouldn't want something too real or close to their real life,but yeah hopefully this is a game for all of us to enjoy.

There would not be a problem with any game, should MC not be the only one not getting any.
Also, there is no push from everywhere in many games for all the MCs to pursue the village whore the antagonist rails.
Should we get one MC who has a life of its/her/his own outside of watching others sex and being miserable,
the whole game would be better. This game has such one MC, why many still shit on him for having a life
outside of seein others actually living theirs and him not participating but just drooling like one idiot,
is beyound me.

What you do not recognize about that mind drop game is that, in thet faculty, the management had
cheerleaders fkk every new player on their team. That game has a rather cringy plot about that.
Yes, IRL there are women traffickers in colleges and/or universities, professors accepting sex favors for
letting girls off easy. In that game, the management gets girls a place to stay and money, so arguing about
being expected to sex some players from time to time is not what they did.
Do remember harvey the director making movies off of sex favors or that tv guru sexing university babes
actually did all of the things you try to explain as far fetched for ther whole life, tens upon tens of years
of doing it.

I have only just started playing and I'm just at the Andrea date bit. and I noticed a MASSIVE mistake made... I hate picking games apart and being the bad guy, but I have to mention it....

Phoebe didn't ask the MC how he would like his steak.... I'm appalled..

But in seriousness, great game so far, that shit at the club really threw me though.. cant wait to get further in

Off the Record v0.4.1
Removed links as main post has been updated now

A small note: since the length of "Episodes" tends to increase I've decided to stop piling up "Parts" of those and simply leave version numbers. So this update is something like "Episode 5 Part 1", just named differently.

Okay, so. This update's focus is mostly on Chelsea and Aurora. It has:
  • 290 static renders;
  • 20 animations;
  • 9 new music tracks;
  • some spelling corrections and bug fixes for Episode 4.
