Thank you very much! We were just as sad for having to say goodbye to the story of David and Elena. Alas, even with the promotions (that we do agree we probably could've done more of, and more aggressively) we just didn't receive a great amount of financial support for ONS.

that sounds pitiful when some famous developer is still milking their supporters while the game is already being labelled as "abandoned"

the story of David and Elena should have a chance to continue and by using this platform to let more people know your work..

Well this novel got to me. Really felt the characters feelings despite knowing almost nothing about them.

Which is probably why it's so good. Anybody could be David and Elena.

That's a good question, I don't see much, I checked all the images. There is scene, where she is sitting on the floor against the wall, and he pushes his dick in her mouth. That could be maybe seen at least as 'male dominance', but calling it 'bdsm'. I wouldn't really say so. He doesn't hit her once either...

Both of you are right. The bdsm tag doesn't quite fit with it any more. It was probably posted very early on, when there were plans to expand the story into a longer VN. (Which eventually ended up being dropped due to poor financial performance of the game.)

But since neither me nor junior are the thread owners, we can't remove the tag. So, sorry about the confusion.

But anyway, considering that most members on this site are world renown political, economic, industry, social, human-rights champions or leaders, that are too busy and don't have spare time to read porn game forums, I'll give a brief summary below:

This game was a collaboration between Arisushi ( writer ) and JuniorTheJunior ( artist ). Due to series of unfortunate events, they decided to part ways. Both of them are still making their own games, just not this one, at least not that I am aware of. You can channel your inner intellect to figure out who they are, where and how to interact with them.

By the way, congrats on losing your 'virginity' with that post of yours.

Ok, so they decided to part ways almost a year ago, that was a pity. Have been playing Japanese Adult Novels (ero-game) since early 2000s, and started exploration into ren'py titles since last year following the downfall of the Japanese VN industries.

As someone who have experienced some of the best titles of the Japanese titles, the western titles on a whole, in term of story telling, are a mixed bag. Among them, only a handful worth playing (IMHO, of course), like 10 or less, and excluding those that don't even have a proper ending, there are only like less than 5 titles got GREAT writing, and One Nigh Stand is one of them (Leap of Faith and Acting Lessons are also great, but other than that not much come to my mind that I can wholeheartedly recommend without any hesitation).

IMO, too many VNs are focusing too heavily on the adults content and really lacking in the story telling (To the point where multiple things would trigger a red flag when I start a new game, such as a 18 years old protagonist, starting with moving into a house with multiple beautiful girls). In contrast Arisushi have some really great story telling skills. A lot of details about Elena in such a short story, there are some in-depth portrait for the personalities, why she will end up in the bar, etc.. Going the story rich route isn't the easiest way to become successful commercially and I wish Arisushi and JuniorTheJunior best of luck.
