I see the last 2 updates were focused on reworks. I have not played this game for a long time but from what I remember it was fairly well done. So I am curious - what is the reason behind reworking the game? And how much more reworking is planned? Are you reworking the beginning sections in preparation for a steam release? Is it fixing broken code? Or is there some other reason entirely?
Dev time spent on reworks comes at the cost of new content so I am wondering if I should pick this game up now vs pick it later. I do not want to pick this game up if it is constantly getting reworked because I find that in most cases the wait time to content ratio is simply not worth it and I am not going to go back and bother replaying the same thing over and over again - I already know where the story is headed so its not worth it to me.

I would be shocked if anybody had any idea where this story was going...that said, to your question, nothing Cryo has said to me would indicate there is anything forthcoming in terms of further reworks.
I dont have concerns about where the story is going - I remember playing it a long time ago (until the point where we meet the green haired girl) and I thought the game was pretty good. I was just wondering about the reasoning behind reworks and how much more of it is to be expected. If it will continue being reworked it is not worth playing to me - I would rather just wait.
But thanks for answering my question. I guess I will give it a try then if no more reworks are planned.

Many games have a large size because of high res or uncompressed images (not talking specifically about this as I have not even played it yet). I think a better measure of amount of content is to go through the changelog and see the number of renders.

Also, the rework done here was in addition to new content (and pretty awesome new content, btw
), so it wasn't a "just a rework of previous content" update (which I'm also not a fan of). I can thoroughly recommend giving this a try.

this was just a fantasy i had, so i just feel like sharing. in the mission to nyx's planet(forgot its name) the crew have to deal with a slave trader. the men sent after the slaver are gone and slaver keeps getting more women out of nowhere, like magic. when preparing to head out, alex ask the cap if he can come. alex wants to get his boots on dirt, see some magic, and get some action(fighting kind perv). during the assault, alex rushes ahead and gets caught in a gas trap. with nyx the cap is able to catch the slaver and deactivated the trap. however when cap gets to alex he is changed, alex has been gender bend(could also be a futa as not being exposed to the gas long enough, players choose). now you have a red head pervy tomboy crewmate. the slaver is questioned about a cure for alex and the "women", but slaver reply "i never made one cause i never needed it". then they disrobe showing they were a futa, the first to inhale the gas. "i've never been happier, so why make a cure". over time alex develops feelings for cap, sexual shenanigans ensue, nyx creates a cure but alex now in love with cap chooses to stay as they are. well i hope you had fun reading my depraved thoughts.

Yeah but the point still stands about reworks coming at the cost of new content. 300 reworked renders could have been 300 new renders. I know this is a porn game but renders alone do not do much for me - I want them in addition to a story and I specifically want more plot that I have not read through already. The problem with reworked content is I know where the story is headed so it feels like a waste of time to me no matter how much better the renders are. I am simply not going to play the reworked content as a result. But yes i am giving it a try since the other guy mentioned there are no plans for additional reworks. I will also be doing a one off donation next month equal in price to some of the adult games I have purchased on steam as I like this game so far.Also, the rework done here was in addition to new content (and pretty awesome new content, btw
