I can't do the manipulation route after doing the love route (except to unlock scenes in the gallery). Once you know why she is the way she is, the manipulation path is cruel.

Not in a truly demeaning or punishing way, but just to open her up to the other side of things to show her how poorly she'd been behaving for such a long time.

I'll definitely replay to try out the Love route though.

this is exactly why I prefer the love path. As you get her to change from being a bitch to not a bitch because she wants to change . While the other path I think she will always stay in bitch mode but just not a vile one because of the dom / sub stuff. That and you learn alot more about her and Ev which is some great character building and growth. Plus the fact they make up and might slowly become friends again which is something I loved , especially cause they used to be good friends until EV wronged her.

I do both paths and I enjoy both but now I enjoy more the normal path because now I know the backstory. That is why I agree with both points of view but I started doing only the manipulation path (checking the normal variant with the help of URM but until chapter 8 not doing both playthroughs) because with the knowledge I had, for me is what Lucia "deserved" hehe simple as that.

But sure now my main playthrough is the normal love and empathy path but will still play both routes.

What I meant by having the pill choice, is if MC's metagene is active until he has sex with the girl to take her power and doesn't actually register the power taking by pill and is still active after a power transfer by pill then the girl would get to keep the power passive by taking the pill (as long as they keep the MC close) but would have it become permanent again if they had sex with MC.

I don’t think so. The power transfer has a short and finite time window. Both people have to have their arousal/ecstasy levels high enough and his semen has to contact her body, but once that has happened there is no reason for his metagene to keep her passive disabled. Taking additional pills won’t trigger his ability since there is nothing to gain.

What I mean is if the female gives her power via pill rather than via sex then the metagene could still work to keep the female desirable for MC by making her power less of an issue if the metagene only deactivates after MC successfully has sex with her.

MC's power is absorption. It's passive, as are his other minor supporting powers (desirability field, super cum production, perhaps the enlargement of his dick, etc.). I suspect an additional passive which dampens powers which would interfere with MC acquiring something he doesn't already have. The innate method for absorption is sex with a girl who is also sufficiently aroused for the transfer to work. Georgia figured out an alternate method that also works, but regardless of the mechanism once MC has a power there isn't any reason for his ability to shut down the girl's passive which was blocking him. Just taking the pill for her isn't going to shut down an annoying passive, just like if she masturbated and drank a vial of his cum it wouldn't do anything either.

The Lucia love and corruption route is either great or poor story telling.

All you know when you chose is that she's a bully to everyone. So far if you choose to manipulate her you don't learn anything about her back story. So she's just a bitch that the MC puts in her place.

On the love route you learn her back story and as has been said, you can turn everyone's life better. It bugs me that this only comes up after you choose how to treat her. Like you've made the choice without all the information. (Typical avn complaint}

So, it either seems like a hole in the story. Or, it is brilliant because you just play the power fantasy and don't end up conflicted as to whether you should've been nicer.

Trouble is, accept or turn down moonbeam (I'm bad with names), eventually the Ev scenes become the same. it strikes me as odd since she seems pretty desperate that makes more sense if you don't turn down moon. Not a big deal, though.

But, in the Lucia routes, if they merge, it's going to disjointed. on the manipulation path you learn she doesn't give oral. And then you make her start. Then you have the whole scene with Emerald showing her how to be a good sub. A lot has already happened on one route and not much on the other. How are you going to merge them back together, or will dev have double work?

I think what's probably going to happen is that at some point the whole back story comes out and there will only be the love route.

My idea is that MC's metagene is mercenary. It has a prime directive: duplicate a power if the sex partner has one, and if anything about the power either inhibits the likelihood of getting more powers or can to be adapted to facilitate getting more powers then it alters it to fit MC. Meri's power has a lot of ramifications, the main fountain of youth aspect which (probably) doesn't need to be changed and the body adaptations to make orgasm of the partner more likely. If the fountain of youth only worked when swallowing semen then it would likely be changed since MC isn't likely to be sucking much dick but that is still undetermined if it got changed for women's sexual fluids; MC seems to think it did. MC isn't going to give tit jobs to a girl so the "make cleavage feel like a vagina" gets dropped and the vibrator tongue gets activated. I think his fingering got enhanced also based on Ruth's response when he was doing her. Ruth's strength gets switched to on-demand from always-on since it wouldn't do for MC to turn the insides of a girl he's fucking into a smoothie before she can cum. Whether the power comes from a pill or sex doesn't matter to the metagene.

Again, my theory is not that Amber suddenly can become visible when she's sexually stimulated (she became visible before she had any orgasms, once was just from kissing). She masturbates a lot by herself and even in the room with MC and Ev going at it and never showed, so that's not the likely trigger. She never lost consciousness until they went to sleep and she was still visible then for at least a little while. She doesn't become visible until MC engages in sexual activity with her and actually starts thinking about having sex; we had an earlier scene where he wasn't thinking that and she didn't show up. She also stays visible for awhile after they go to sleep, but in the morning she's invisible again. That points to whatever MC did to her to nullify her ability while he was considering having sex with her wore off after it got out of their systems.

I made sure to take more money than I needed earlier in the game, but it's still blocking that option. Is that something that happens later in the story, or did I somehow mess up the choices to that point?

Yes it is, although if you are a fan of Ev it might sour you on her a bit, although what happened was from before we met her.

It didn't sour me on her at all, I just saw it as depth of character. She did stuff in the past, but that's not who she is now, and you can see how remorseful she is when reminded of it.

I hated that path tbh it's only good if all you care about is porn. But when it comes to the character building it's terrible.

I liked the path at the time, but to be honest, only really for the content. Looking back at it now, although it hasn't reached any sort of conclusion, I don't really see what the end game of it is (or rather, I know what Ev had intended by suggesting it, but I couldn't visualise what would happen to achieve that, etc.). The path itself, as you say, didn't really do much for the characters, whereas the "normal" path definitely covers that. I suppose one element of liking it before might also have been the "payback" element for how much of a bitch Lucía was, and part of liking that path a lot less now is knowing the story behind that bitchiness, so I sort of feel sorry for treating her badly on the manipulation path (although I don't think there was anything too bad there yet).

you have to take more money than you need, and not give any to the homeless girl after leaving the shop. That should be all the steps needed to get the full Cat scene.

Ahhhhhh. I had always thought the homeless person might have a hook later in the game, and the handout might open up some special path or power. It might still, but I can see how that would affect his funds. Thanks for the tip, gonna rollback and fast forward, cheers.

never looked into that particular one as I managed to figure it out without help early on, but in that case you're probably right. Though some of the coding is weird in this game like the string values he uses for certain things.

If he doesn't modify that variable in another way, he's free to query it and set a "nice_guy" flag to 1, and then add in a surprise (or even a major plot twist with a new power) later on. Lots of possibilities depending on how that variable is or isn't touched.

That's why I sometimes choose not to play the nice guy in AVNs - they usually get less lewd content. It's a more wholesome story sure, and sometimes that's really fun. But being the bad guy can be fun all it's own, for obvious reasons. Glad I know now how to trigger Cat's full scene, since it was worth it.
