It's not like there's any prove it's hurting the game. People who like the game and can support, will probably do it anyway.
All the games I'm supporting on patreon I've first downloaded here and many very successful games get shared instantly here.
With all the games currently being worked on, I won't mind waiting a week or two longer than the patreons, but I honestly don't think it costs the devs a lot of money when a game gets released here early.

And you know this how? You have content available on Patron? You don't believe some people would not be upset that they expect a reward and it is denied because of some asshat? You don't believe that some people would be upset enough to pull support? In the real world these things do happen all the time.

I agree. I back this game, because I love the realistic story and pacing.
If I didn't feels as strongly about this game as I do, I would certainly consider things when seeing the SE version leaked minutes after being released. Of course this hurts the game and is fucking over the tier 4 patrons. At least wait a few days before leaking it

I can understand why you don't like the game, but I can't disagree more :coldsweat:

Probably your going fucking nowhere means no sex. Because every release the relationship between Clare and his father is progressing clearly. We are shaping her and it takes time.

Personally (because of course we are talking about personal taste) I think our fate is one of the best game here. It is building a good and "believable" story without lacking in sex scenes.

And IMHO your talking about the chance that the game will be abandoned is really unfair. This dev so far never skipped a release date and he delivered a lot of new content every time.

Yep, i appreciate the slow build up. This more realistic aproach is way better than all these "Oh wow you are naked!" - "yeah... *oh he is sexy*" - "Let's fuck!" - "OK!" games.

And I am impressed how different the tone of the different paths is, without that many different renders. I think (and hope) that there will be a more visual difference later on. Currently this works well, but I want my obedient pet to wear other stuff than my lovely girl ^^

Yes, there might be some, though I honestly have no idea why I as a patreon would be angry and remove support for a dev BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE LEAKS HIS WORK, but sure there might be some.

OTOH, are those more than the new patreons finding out about games on sites like this one?
Again, there are many successful games that get leaked here early, so the losses coming from that definitely can't be backbreaking.

Again, all the games I support I found out through this site and judging by what other people write, that's the rule and not the exception.

And again once more, I personally don't mind waiting a bit longer for a game I can't personally support or not high enough to warrant an early release to me, but I also don't believe that devs suffer a lot if it happens.
The positive effects of advertising your game outweigh the loss of a few stupid patreons who will blame the dev because his or her game gets pirated.

Yes, it's just my opinion, but it's based on being here on this site for 2 years, and a patreon for adult games almost as long.
Experiencing the community, seeing the success of creators who embrace it and seeing others fail miserably and stumble around with a few bucks a month who rage and rage and rage about those evil pirates and block patreons because they think they leaked their games etc..

You know that the scariest horror stories and movies actually have the buildup to the jump scare and/or the "moment of dread"? There's entire forums dedicated to rating the effectiveness of the buildup and the moment itself. This concept of a buildup to push the suspense, the feelings, and anticipation to ever higher levels to really punch you when that moment comes has been used by the best authors and screenwriters. It's actually taught in schools as well.
Now, a "normal porn game" has logic that is "son's pants falls down, mom sees dick, and they start having sex!" That's just low-brow visceral stuff. Personally, i don't get immersed in that and there's no real satisfaction from that.
This story is teasing you, building up the want/need for her by showing the innocent slips and the battle against each other's carnal desires. What happens is those moments stack like legos and they'll keep stacking and stacking until the moment of reckoning then it'll blow up. The more legos there are, the bigger the moment. The trick cedsense is trying hit is the right balance - too few legos, it's not such a sweet moment. Too many legos, people explode from blueballs. But what he's trying to do is hit you with the right amount of legos so you'll be cumming all over the place and you'll have to hire a hazmat team for clean-up.

I said it before and i'll say it again and a thousand times. And i won't even copy&paste, because i'm stupid. Anyway..

What's important to me on an update is not necessarily the lewd stuff happening sooner than later - but that some kind of progress is made. ANY kind of progress, really. Just something that doesn't feel like being dropped into an ocean of possible (sexy) options - but the story is just treading water to barely stay alive. Actually let's go with that metaphor for a bit.
Some devs don't have the means or the interest to provide you with an interesting journey. You either drown halfway (hello Dual Family) or you instant-teleport there. And sometimes that's perfectly fine too - literally every single game based on Honey Select is a simple instant-fuck-feast for example, and some of those are still enjoyable.
But if a dev has the means to make the journey to sexy island enjoyable - hell, lean back and enjoy the ride if cruising is your thing. If it's not, don't bother boarding the ship in the first place. It's just that easy.
The fine line - and i admit, it's probably pretty subjective to draw - between a slow cruise and drifting around directionless is, as mentioned, progress.
The last update was shit in my book, because on our glorious journey to Daughter-Island we stopped and drifted to port "all the ugly hoes". It's a big nasty detour, we've been there several times before and barely anyone cares for that port. It's dirty and bitchy. Let's not go there for a while.
This update however had some progress. The captain refueled the ship by checking up on the map to daughter island a lot, we got to see the island in all it's glory - and the captain had a discussion with first mate Dr Locklear and kinda agreed to totally go to Daughter Island. That's literally setting the course. And given that this Daughter isn't as ... eh ... 'challenged' as the one in DMD for example, I'd suspect the journey to be somewhat pleasant from now on. On the way we will probably also visit Cap Anna. Maybe we will even find a shortcut there.
Progress was made, so all is well on board.

(and just because i really like to drive that metaphor home: Yes, Patreon rules would be a fucking iceberg and a RPGM-game usually equals a rowing boat with a broken paddle, ha!)

In my playthrough, I go for D and Susan and don't pursue the other girls.
- Susan mainly because I feel a sense of duty and because she does go well with D.
- D for the obvious reasons.

And I'm fine with that, the game handles this style of playthrough very well.
In the last update I even got a chance to get back on board with Grace.

In my opinion, the pacing with D is perfect. Although I do hope that a split between the good and bad routes (with regards to content) will happen within the next couple of updates.

In my game she isn't D, she is just the daughter of your school crush, so yeah, on that front the game goes really slow.
Plus if you have no interest in Susan and the other women jumping on your dick it goes slower.
At this pace we will get some softcore action with the main girl by 2019 if the game isn't abandoned before.

@CedSense I think/hope there are many Patreons from F95, who support your game, because they like it and your work and not because of the rewards. But I can understand, that you wish, that the SE should be leaked some days later and would support it, but that's not in my hands. I will support you independently as long as my financial situation allows it.
Furthermore I wouldn't recommend something like watermarks ...
It just costs a lot of time and encourages some people to circumvent your measures.
As example a image compression should be enough to disturb the watermark.

Great work as always. I'm still waiting for some opportunities for other guys and this update was empty in that regard but I really like the writing and pace. It's one of these games I won't mind being developed for 5 years and more. Ofc linearity makes it a bit too simplistic but some real branching might come later. Keep it up.

So far it is not a problem and it is very clever using text instead of images to differentiate the paths. However if future some differences in dresses or sex scenes will be necessary.

Or, the author gets bored of stacking Lego bricks and starts playing with Tonka toys instead. An assumption which, if this forum winds up proving anything for future PhD Pornology students, is most definitely not assured.

Maybe I'm just cynical. I am idly lurking this forum in excess of two years now, migrating from KAT along with several other horny buggers. Literally every game in development I started from those KAT days but one wound up abandoned. The two biggest titles of Porn Patreon style games: Big Brother and Breeding Season, also got abandoned mid-development. DMD is thoroughly kneecapped as well.

I'm not attacking Cedsense. In fact, I do hope he's the exception to the rule. But this game is still pretty much in its story-telling infancy and we're almost a full year in. What's the plan? To finish in 2~3 years? Great if Cedsense is consistent and game development continies without hiccups. Really bad if a spanner gets thrown into the works. It could also be entirely out of Cedsense's hands, just look at Big Brother and DMD. What if Patreon decides next year they don't want anything to do with porn development anymore? Another story unresolved and anothing pile of Lego bricks left unattended.

(PS: I would've personally gone with a Domino analogy instead)
