Safe to presume that if we haven't heard from the developer, the game is abandoned/ shelved indefinitely.
Rule is to give 3 months before calling it abandoned. Dev posted a poll in December. If we don't hear again until March then it will be marked as abandoned. We knew about his issues when he left, he reported that he was back but it was slow going, then he posted he was getting back into it and then he posted the poll. Its discouraging to not have heard since, but I liked the game enough to wait. I always felt like the updates were of good quality, and I'd rather wait and get a good quality update than get a poor update because the dev was rushed.
