So, this is not you? ↓I didn't say otomes can't be sexual. Just that otome doesn't mean sexual.
You literally state the exact same point so the fact you are wondering why it's that way and are confused by it is baffling.
You do know that otome isn't romance either, otome is just a label you put on a game when you want a "woman" to play it, right? Literally ANY game that is intended for the female/feminine mind is called "otome", even Yuri and YAOI games, right? You know that, right? You seem to not realize that otome is a genre that isn't sexual. If there is an 'otome' game that is, it's also part of a different genre (can't remember what it is called right now). But otome isn't sexual, it's romance. Japan has this way of labeling and categorizing things (games, manga, anime, etc) so that you can have a basic idea of what you get.
Is... is this gaslighting...? What's your play here, my dude, you clearly said what you said, and I said what I said. You are confused about the point of otome, and opinions like that is why we can't have nice things. When people like you think otome, and I quote, "isn't sexual", us women are stuck with chaste, sexless games that shirk us out of erotica.
