I'm Kinda confused on which game to download first, I'm on android and there's the v1.5.1 one and the beta build 1.0 one with a voice and non voiced version, but then there's another one called dereck. Which one should i be downloading first?

Depends on which character you want as a love interest as if you get the 1.5 is gonna be Cove the green hair guy ( Best Boy) and if you want Derek the brown hair muscle guy you get an unfinished version of the Derek dlc.

btw beta build does not matter as it is a older version of the Cove route that is now finished.

Beta version include all from Cove "route" and derek dlc which is still in development. Just download beta version.

This is a sign that's it's time for me to start my replay of the entire game on dereks route

The route is still not finished! There's good stuff at Step 4 but this beta closes in mid of kinda of a conversation with Derek and let some stuff hanging, so if you want to enjoy it fully (if you don't want to replay the route ofc) then you might want to wait for other patch.

Does the game ever react to the choices you pick for looks (dollstuff)? I know that when I picked scars the only thing that happend was one sentence like "And my scares seem to stay" between step 1 and 2.
Anything else?

Just to clarify, does the latest beta version have the full final version of the wedding dlc or just part of it? On the front page is says "Wedding DLC Intro," but I thought the full wedding dlc was released before any of the Derek stuff.

The latest version is the Our Life: Derek one. You have the whole Cove wedding, not only the intro, and also the other three DLC for each Step.
The Beta Build 1.0 is the whole game only with the intro because the wedding is supposed to be a DLC and in that time it was still working on it.
So, the game is basically
Our Life: Derek is whole game + dlcs + cove wedding. but derek story is at 0.5 version so its not fully added to the story.

I forgot which route but when you are asking Cove what kind of person he likes he mentions the MC's eye color or something like that. Its been a long time since I played this.

While you're in Moment Select - Step 2 screen, go to the "Change Page", up to the left. That new row are the Derek Moments.
If you do the main Soiree (the one where Soiree is under Roadtrip), then Derek's Soiree will be done too, so you have to decide in the moment screen if you want to go with Derek, or with Cove. If you do the Soiree from the main Moments instead of Derek's, He will NOT come to the soiree with you, even if you try to call him. In order to be able to go with Derek, you must open the moment from Derek's Moments.

As far as I've played, I think there's no much reaction to skin tone, face shape, eye shape, hair or the style you have (for example if you wear a ponytail) and theres almost no reaction either to birthmarks and scars too, and most of reactions are from the game or narrator itself, not from any character... Even glasses are not mentioned too much either.
I think the character creator is to get yourself more into the game, emphasizing on (you) being the MC and not a predeterminated character. There's not much of a description on what you're wearing, and again I think they do this probably for the player to choose, but sometimes it forces you to wear specific things for a specific moment.

Hmm that's fair, maybe i'll just replay up to step 4 then and wait for the rest, i've already started step 1 replay so.

As I thought, playing left to right for Derek's moment seems to be the best, it references previous moments sometimes which is nice.

I have a PC and the DLC step 3 link on here is only for mac. I thought it would run fine, and it did mostly, but when I got to the "boating" dlc in step 3 an unexpected error occurred. The error specifically occurs at the scene where your character is playing a drawing guessing game. The notes for the exception show that there seems to be an incomplete data line (line 108 in script callback to be precise) that was probably not bracketed correctly. Any ideas on what I should do? I know my installation is all good and that I have all the necessary components because the rest of the game runs well.

If it's just a FUBAR bracket you can manually fix it with a text editor, check the file and line references in the error log.

If you download the Our Life: Derek version you should get all three steps DLC working. If you are not interested in Derek, or his moments at all, you can just skip them, you're not forced to do them in any way.


Our Life v1.5.1 is one of the standalone versions of the game, which doesn't have any of the DLC, not even the free one; doesn't have any step dlc, and doesn't have anything about the wedding

Our Life v1.0 is a backers-only(patreon) version of the game that has the three Step DLC + first version of Cove's wedding which is only a intro.

18+ Patreon Bonus is a backers-only(patreon) moment which is kinda of a sex scene with Cove. NOT THE WHOLE GAME, ONLY A MOMENT +18.

Our Life: Derek is the latest backers-only(patreon) version of the game that includes the three steps DLC for Cove, the whole Cove's wedding, and new moments for Derek's romantic Route (which you can do even if you want Derek as a friend too) which have step 2 moments and step 4 moments.
The version of this is 0.5D because of Derek's DLC, still has everything in it.

So for new people wanting to try Our Life, you should go for Our Life: Derek which is the latest version, full dlcs + wedding + a bit of Derek DLC, you have everything in your hand. You don't need to marry Cove, you don't need to do Derek's moment if you want only Cove, and so on.


The only DLC that is not included is the Voiced Names DLC, which they have a list of names for you to pick, and time to time you will hear that name.
IT IS NOT A FULL VOICED VN. You can only hear some phrases and/or your name if you picked it from the list.
