Depending on when you tried it out you might want to check it again -- it's been going through a rework after the original artist left, and it includes changes to the story. Sadly, the development is slow so there isn't much of a game, really.
 Does that mean improved general writing skill, too? That was the main thing that set me off, beyond a college-related premise I'm not so interested in (GGGB being an exception due to handling) and what seems like a lack of life experience from a writing standpoint (which GGGB fell victim to too, a bit).

Eva Kiss and RedLolly (Joanna Devas) are the same person imo
I had a somewhat similar theory once. When RedLolly just started to work on Lust Campus, she wrote more about herself in a post. From what I remember, I won't look for it, it went like this: she sometimes poses as a nude model for art events. In one of those events she meet Javier (the first artist she worked with) and with the help of her friend Eva Kiss, decided that she could work on a game. You probably noticed a familiar theme. Just in case you didn't: that is exactly how Ian and Lena meet.

Another interesting coincidence was the release schedule of the 2 games. We all know that ORS started with 2 months updates, which soon turned into 3, until we got to chapter 9 which took like 4-5 months and was released in October-November 2021. LC started with some steady updates, until August-September 2021 when the release date for Chapter 5 was postponed. Soon after, RedLolly said that she will no longer work with Javier and that the game will be re-written. What else was re-written in that period ? From 2022 onward, the development period increased for both games and the rest is history.

Not sure; my first experience with the game was the reworked version, and it wasn't horrible or anything (relatively to other porn games, at least) I've played the original release afterwards and it did seem more rough. But i don't know your personal standards, so i won't guess if it improved enough to satisfy you.

Anyone have a valid guess as to when Chapter 12 first release will drop? I'm hoping for late November but I'm thinking it'll be around mid-December/Christmas
The only way i see another 2023 release happening is if EK is working in chapter 12 at warp speed,so very unlikely.
I can see a early 2024 release happening if EK is motivated through.

Since EvaKiss is a man, can't be the same person as RedLolly/Joanna Devas :HideThePain:

EvaKiss once posted that her cat had died, but in this photo she showed her hand, which was quite hairy for a woman...

I can count on two hands and one toe the amount of writing-based games on here I've been able to play for more than 10 minutes - let alone a couple of updates - without losing interest and deleting due to high-school-or-worse level writing. Even holding a lower standard for porn-based games, my "suspension of disbelief" threshold is still near the floor. So I lose engagement pretty quickly in those situations. :(

I'm a little more tolerant on stylized or cartoon/comedy-based games where the whole point is in being as ridiculous as possible, when done well enough. Thanks for the info on it.

Hi, does anyone knows if it's possible to disable the autosave using the console or by editing common files ? My PC is very slow since last update (lag of 3-4 seconds everytime a dialogue option appear) and apparently i have a problem with autosaves considering they no longer appears in the menu, but the game and dialogues are fine when i play the scenes from the gallery.

Eva Kiss did a face reveal for the highest-tier patrons in 2019 when the dev shared personal details and how GGGB started. Briefly discussed here: https://f95zone.to/threads/good-girl-gone-bad-v1-2-jasmin-dlc-eva-kiss.2633/post-2489083

The spicygaming interview had some small tidbits from those posts.

I won't go so far as to say it is "safe to say" that Lena is based on RedLolly, but there is certainly a resemblance in both physical appearance and the type of work that they performed as models. We know that there is some type of friendship between EK and RL as they have both spoken of each other in their respective blog posts. So I think at the very least a part of Lena's character has taken inspiration from Joanna Davis' real life persona, the exact extent of which though is more muddled.

Analyzing Eva’s posts for gender hints is weird. She says she’s woman. Good enough for me. Move on.
I don't think Eva has actually committed one way or another with regards to gender. There that I read, which I know is not directly from Eva's Patreon, but the following quote in particular made me think Eva is rather fluid with how (s)he identifies.

It's a rather long quote, but to summarize "there is a polarity of masculine and feminine in all people" and Eva takes pride in being able to be identified as both.

... there’s a significant portion of people who believe the game was created by a dude. Eva Kiss herself neither confirms nor denies this. So we can only speculate, explicate and masturbate. I know I am calling her a “she” the whole time but she said “you can use whatever pronouns you want” so yeah *shrugs*.

When asked about the role of her gender when creating the game, her response was so good that I HAVE to quote the whole thing:

“Sex and gender seem to be the most important topic in culture these days, but honestly, to me, it has made no difference at all. People react to what you create, and the artist's identity should only be portrayed in his art. After all, I've always worked behind a pseudonym and Eva Kiss could be seen as just another character that I use to express myself creatively. My goal when I entered the adult VN scene was to provide a new take in a genre that I felt had too many stories that felt written by a horny 15 year old boy, and a more "feminine" perspective could be refreshing and exciting. There has always been speculation about Eva Kiss' gender, and I find it funny: some people say it's clear the way some scenes are written could only have come from a woman's mind, while some other feel like they are obviously the handiwork of a male writer. In the end, a writer has to embody their characters somehow, and we all have a masculine-feminine polarity inside ourselves, maybe that's why I felt compelled to make a dual protagonist game in Our Red String, where you play both sides. In any case, I haven't felt that being perceived as "female" has affected my standing whatsoever as a dev, and people haven't been really interested in what's between my legs, but in the games and characters, I create. And that's something I feel proud of and what an artist should aim for, I suppose.”

Let's say that RedLolly and EvaKiss are the same person. During the GoodGirlGoneBad development she also worked as a model for an art class where she meet Javier. They got accustomed with one another and they start dating. Their story was inspiring, so Eva decided to create a new game: Our Red String. Javier could have offered her hints on how to write a male main character, while she already handled quite well a female main character. They shared ideas, everthything was good. Because it was an intersting line of work and him being an artist himself - they could have decided to extend the business. Eva promoted RedLolly and a good number of people discovered Lust Campus. Eva wrote the story, Javier created the art assets.

In the summer of 2021 they broke up and for Eva, it wasn't pretty. She needed some time to recover and re-writting the games gave her exactly that. Some time to breath, to think about something else and to find a way to save her business. Who knows, maybe that is why Lena enjoys a great deal of success in the latest chapters, while Ian still works on his book, gets nowhere with the boxing tournament and suddenly has cuck tendencies.
If any of this would be true, I guess it could explain why the development time incresed the way it did. I am sure is not easy to manage 2 games, which are not that strainght forward to write. But giving up on one of them would mean to decrees the mounthly income - who would want that?

1. The version here will be more recent. The epilogue is a small update tacked on after the Chapter 11 final.
2. For us to thoroughly gauge what you'd consider tantalizing, you'd really need to elaborate on that egg vibrator experience, simply for posterity's sake.
If you load a game which has everything, including the galleries, unlocked...and then choose Lena's galleries...go to chapter 9 and choose: Lena signs the contract; Lena and Seymour. Then you will see what I mean.

Is there a way to port games in progress to a new version that gets downloaded? Also...this game is not complete the way GGGB is; is that correct? I saw references to an upcoming chapter 12
Thank you for your response!

Oh. I understood. I was being sly. Eva's games typically get more and more debased the further in, so I wouldn't doubt it. Though I don't expect each chapter to ramp up from the last. There are necessary lulls used to build plausible development before arriving at a further level of kink, just as in any semi-decent writing.

If you're on PC, you can simply download, unzip and boot the new build and your saves from the last will be right there in game to load.
On windows, it's all stored in: %AppData%\RenPy which transfers automatically from build to build. You can also simply drag your saves folder from the last build to the new build to continue if for whatever reason your appdata has gotten deleted. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is never load a save from an alpha or beta build into a final (otherwise known as "complete") build. The alpha or beta will more often than not have bugs and be otherwise incompatible. As a rule of thumb, I keep final build saves marked as such [there is UI to rename each in the save menu], since alpha and beta saves are unstable.

Complete: Unintentionally answered above. It's another word for the "final" version of that specific update. We won't be content-complete until likely Chapter 16 at very earliest, potentially to Chapter 20 or further, likely depending on the game's succe$$ in the market and Eva's burn-out level or lack thereof. But that's just a guess on my end.
