More of a miscalculation. Ivy is an opportunist. If she's given an opportunity that would benefit her, she'll jump at a chance without thinking about what might go wrong. Billy's project, she accepts immediately, doesn't question how the structure will be, and Lena loses points with her if she rejects it. Axel and the Wild Cats, jumps at the chance thinking there's no way she'll get rejected. The excitement clouds her judgement.
Every one will want to jump on opportunities that are this big. She just tend to be less cautious more impulsive.
