After this update, Ivy's rep went down like a shit ball going down the hill. The hate from the people is valid. She was such an ass! :KEK:
About fucking time,this bitch is so toxic like what the fuck!?
Gillian the cheater is better than this drug addict,attention seeking,backstabbing,double crossing,scuffed tattoo maker,piece of shit character known as Ivy FUCKING Feynman:mad:

The latter. She's regretful but I don't think she wants to feed her ego. She cheated on Ian and dumped him, there's no feelings there. Ian barely got over her just like Lena Axel.
She chose to be with another guy but i don't think it automatically means she's got no feelings for Ian. Don't make me look up that NTR comic you've been posting sometimes about the girl longing for the guy she dumped, after the fact. :sneaky:

Incidentally, i can't get over the hilarity of that "brutal uphill battle with Jeremy for Ian to reunite with his sweetheart".

Here's is said sweetheart, throwing herself all over Ian to reunite with him (despite him being in a relationship) even though she's had a taste of the infallible Übermensch that's supposedly plotarmor-clad Jeremy:

Do you know the brutal uphill struggle Ian had to endure for this to happen? What he's had to do to arrive to this point?

The answer is: absolutely, literally nothing.

Gods, give me more uphill battles like that.

I think it's pretty clear that Gillian has some remorse, at the very least, with how she broke up with Ian if not outright regret at breaking up with him entirely. We're still not 100% sure the how's and whys of the breakup, we just know Ian took it very poorly and (probably) thinks it's worse than what it really was.

Note: I'm not making this statement as fact, just a possibility. The way Mike opens up to Lena about his regret at not staying loyal in this last update could mean that he's talked with his girlfriend about it. IF Gillian and Mike are in fact a couple,and we're not being gaslit, there is a world where I can see Gillian being aware of Mike's dalliances and even if they're working through it that haunts her as much as her breakup with Ian haunts Ian.

She is potentially still wearing the ring Ian has gotten her, so i think it's safe to say there's some remaining attachment.
If I'm not mistaken she's wearing the ring if Ian chooses the "I still think about you" option during their first talk. So it seems there will be a "getting back together with her" path.

Yup, although it's not necessarily only on this path -- in this setup (if Ian didn't delete her pictures and moved on) Ian is able to spot the ring, but in other cases EK is playing coy and has Gillian hide her hand behind her back, making it unknown if the ring is still there.

edit: checking the script, the ring is always there during the first meeting, it's not gated behind anything:
Python:
### GILLIAN MEETING

    stop music fadeout 4.0
    scene street2night with long
    $ fholly = "n"
    show lena
    show holly at rig3
    show ian at lef3
    with short
    $ gillian_look = 2
    $ gillian_extras = "ring"
    $ fgillian = "sad"
    $ ian_gillian = 1

Well, better late than never. I disliked Ivy intensely from the moment she responded sarcastically to Lena in the Blazer girl's restroom, when Lena told her how well her relationship with Ian was going.
She's just a drugged-up bitch.

Does Gilian still have feelings for Ian, or is she just deeply regretful and just wants to be excused to feed her ego?
It would barely make sense for Gillian trying to reenter Ian's life if she doesn't feel anything for him. She wouldn't ask for a private conversation, message him on social media, and ask him for a coffee date.

What isn't clear is how much of this is genuine guilt and how much of it is flat out opportunism to get back to the old boyfriend, since there are realistic chances her current boyfriend breaks up with her. That will be find out later and may also be your subjective perspective on that matter. Something that you can reflect with Ian's choices on how to deal with her - Forgive her, still love her, loathe her, avoid her etc.

She's a 10 times worse Jeremy.

Jeremy is someone who fucks around constantly with girls and encourages his bros to do the same. But if he realises that one of his bros caught feelings for someone and it's pretty clear how corny and cringy his bro sounds from it, he will dislike it and be like "Eh, I think you're making a mistake bro" but ultimately at the end the of the day, he WON'T tear you down and instead back you up if/when needed. Much like Perry, he is a weirdo but he is our weirdo.

Ivy is different, she's one of those girls that gets jealous that one of her girl friends manages to catch feelings for another guy, and the guy is a real catch too. And since Ivy is one of those girls that can't stop being a slut, she tries her best to sabotage her friends so that they don't get a happy ending. Being as miserable and lonely as her.

I could be wildly missing the mark here...But I feel like I'm right on this, after everything I've seen.

Sure. If Ivy was a dude or if Jeremy pulled off similar stunts like her, people would seethe thrice as much about them.

Imagine Jeremy drugging a girl and recording her on a glory hole, gleefully commenting her progress. But if Ivy does it, she is just the cool older sister giving Holly a push to liberate herself.

If Ian and Gillian met earlier and he asked Jeremy about it, an ivylike Jeremy would tell him to fuck her asap to get over it. Instead, Jeremy knows how much it affects Ian to the point of trying to prevent Ian from knowing about Gillians return. Which had good intentions, but some see it as an unforgivable betrayal.

Neither of them are as malicious and ruthless as Axel and Seymour, they just don't believe in long term relationships and advise everyone to copy their free lifestyle, but Jeremy is notably more naive and harmless, while Ivy is a bit more aware and unbothered of her schemes.

I feel exactly the same way.
Jeremy is sorry that Ian is no longer his buddy, but he's happy for him.
For Ivy, however, it's not the same: she's more poisonous than a rattlesnake. Not only she show that she's not happy for Lena, but she always tries to put strange thoughts into her head and never misses an opportunity to offer her drugs.
Not to mention the fact that if we leave Holly in her hands, she will destroy her personality.

Jeremy is a total bro, I don't get why he gets so much of hate? Dude literally went above and beyond after Ian's breakup to cheer him up and keep him distracted from wallowing in his misery. He kept Gillian being back to the city a secret from Ian because he saw how demotivated and broken Ian got. He was looking out for him in his own way. Sure, he has that playa mentality but we all know that he's overcompensating for his lukewarm childhood.

Ivy is totally the opposite, she's that type of cunt who would get close to you as a friend, feigns genuine good intent and fuck your life up because why not? We can clearly see Holly's downward spiral and Lena's next in line if she can't shake Ivy off her back. Vindictive, manipulative, jealous and a total narcissist.

Too many opinions for me to quote here, but my take on Gillian's motivation is youth. Living life and having relationships builds a base of experience, most if not all of the characters in this are under 25. Like a lot of people do, she thought the grass was greener outside of her relationship with Ian, and might have found the opposite.

I think Ian's dreams are nightmares, it's possible she never slept with anyone while they were together, Ian just making the assumption it was the worst possible scenario. Given Ian's friends reactions, she may have cheated, but they are Ian's friends, and prone to believe him and take his side.

Mike, as far as we know, slept with 2 of the characters in the game, Lena (player choice) and Ivy (to the dismay of her fans), 3 if you count his girlfriend. Hardly a serial cheater, but a cheater nonetheless. He might have been Jeremy before his current girlfirend, but since... or maybe he can't change his spots.
