I see, that's good to know. Though, I was curious as to whom the 'villains' could be considered to be, besides the two obvious bad ones. And yeah, I kinda forgot about Minerva: that's a good point.

I honestly see Ivy as an inherently bad influence not just for Lena but also Holly. I do get that she's a promiscuous, shameless party girl and...well, 'slut'. (idk what other word to use xD sorry) Especially since through Ivy, Lena (of her own volition) is able to do some fked up things, like taking drugs or smoking. Maybe as a side villain of sorts, through "moral corruption" side of things? She does push for Lena to go down the similar path of depravity. (ORS version of OnlyFans, dancing as a stripper at a club, encouraging her to sleep around, the aforementioned drugs and smoking, etc.)

Just my humble opinion though but Jeremy isn't as bad with Ian as Ivy is with Lena. Besides basically 'competing' with Ian to go after Allison, the guy (surprisingly) has lines he wouldn't cross and his own 'bro code'. Like, if your relationship with him is good, he'll refuse to have Lena do things to him at the 'after party'.

Jeremy's a fuckboy but he's not someone that's morally corrupting Ian that much. Worst thing he does is tells him to not tie himself down with Lena and instead keep fucking around. (Though that's probably the 'frat bro' thing rather than moral corruption necessarily)
Male friendships are rarely toxic than a female one. Women are naturally competitive with each other other, especially for men. Everything is in subtlety.

On the love path (and if Ian shows boundaries), she is less interested in wildcats and more aware of Axels advances, ultimately sticking to Ian.
There is also the path when Ian helps Cindy and Wade, which leads to a healthier breakup and Cindy still conflicted. Its possible she can steer away from Axel as well, maybe even getting back with Wade.
Else, she usually falls for Axels advances.
Sweet. Started a new playthrough where I (bravely and stupidly) intend on Ian sticking to one girl and I decided to go for that with Cindy this time around, even if there isn't as much content overall. Just to see the difference in dialogue if there is any. I noticed a difference in dialogue if Ian did not fuck around and decided to go after Holly. Which was interesting and (if you're into that sort of thing) rewarding as well.

Depends on the man I suppose, I've known some that were just...'out there'.

I mean, i think it's a bit absurd to talk as if the event during which a lot of relationships (not just the trinity and Ian/Lena, but also plenty of others, including Axel, Cindy, Emma, Holly and Louise) can be advanced to new status... was of little consequence in a game which is, ultimately, about nothing but relationships, and as if none of these potential developments matter.

But what specific scenes people fantasized about for that beach event that did not happen? IIRC Ian gets to have sex with pretty much every girl who attends the event. Lena, similarly, gets to fuck the people game has established she'd sufficiently close with. There's a threesome you can have the game was building towards for a long time. You can even watch Perry's hairy butthole as he nails Emma, if that's your thing.

What is it that you think was desperately missing here and that people were fantasizing about, that wasn't on a level of delusion that's Lena getting shipped to Dubai?
Ok, I am back from a party where I had faaaar too much vodka, and Bordeaux beforehand with the food, but out of respect for you specifically I will take the time to reply to everything, just let me switch to Heineken 0.0%.

- Not only did I not say that the beach event did not advance relationships, but I even wrote specifically that it was the only thing to take out from this update.

- You are right, this game is all about relationships. The problem is that, in practice, it is all about not completely setting up these relationships in five years, and never really implementing them. It is EK's trick to make more money, I doubt you have been to business school, otherwise you would know about the "frustrated expectation" strategy that EK has been applying by the book with her patreons. You never deliver exactly what you promised, yet you deliver JUST enough on your promises so your customers keep paying.

- Now we get to the "heart of the matter", which is your question: what is it that I think was desperately missing here and that people were fantasizing about ? Specifying that I was absolutely not a fan of Dubai, having lived in Dubai myself and having seen everything that could be seen there ?

Now, this is where it's going to be long, and this is where I am surprised - disappointed ? - that I have to mention it to you especially. Let's go path by path:

- On the Ian/Lena path: instead of the 100th fantasy "oh an MFM would be hot", the ACTUAL fucking MFM, for fuck sake.

- Or a fucking foursome with a couple met on the beach, i.e. the people Jenthe bothers on the first day (just for example)

- Instead of, on the following update a cheating scene Lena/Emma, a fucking loyal FMF scene Ian/Emma/Lena at the beach (honestly I thought this was a given, when I saw it did not happen and that on the following update Lena had to cheat on Ian to trigger the potential future threesome with Emma....Well, it just proves my point, EK has utterly lost her shit)

- Meeting a girl on the beach and Ian Lena having a threesome with her

- Finding a nudist section on the beach and going for an orgy

- Walking at night, finding a club similar to GGGB and exploring

- For those on the cuck path : at long last a real fucking cuck scene for fuck sake.

- For those on the slut path: a fucking quickie with a guy met on the beach.

- For those on the Harem path: a foursome Holly/Emma/Lena/Ian

I could go on for ever. This beach event was a shit turd, full stop.

Once Ian and Cindy get together, they have content in every chapter, because Cindy is the most popular female character ignoring Lena. The love path is possible despite the odds stacked against it and rewarding, noticeable different on the lust path, when Ian and Cindy just fuck but don't get emotionally involved and may have other characters lined up. Cindy is also more inclined to Axel on that path, which Ian on one side dismays, but on the other side he knows he can't expect her to be loyal to him, since he isn't, either.

Besides Seymour and Axel, who would you guys say are antagonists in this game? Ivy and Jeremy? Or just Ivy?
Jeremy isn't an antagonist. Idk what makes ppl treat him as such lol Apparently being a male NPC who gets pussy is synonymous of being a bad guy.

Ivy is a mediocre wannabe homewrecker. Meh.

It's really just Axel and Seymour. Seymour is a lost cause. Axel is there for the fight mostly.

Idk. Vinny from Being a DIK is an antagonist. His presence feels somewhat threatening. He shook Tremolo. Hell he was introduced as a parallel to MC (charismatic, had an explosive rise to popularity, fought for frat's 'leadership', prone to impulsivity, etc.).

Axel... Is a jealous ex. Seymour's a rich simp.

All this teasing of cuck stuff with Lena is so annoying. Especially because the only reason I play the game is for that.
And who do you want Lena to cuck Ian with Joshy? There's no hobo in this. :ROFLMAO: There's Jeremy with a BBC, but as far as I know he's not homeless.

It is not the reason I play, however I can understand how cuck people can feel EK has screwed them over big, super big time.

Simp would imply he's trying to win m'lady over by doing good things for her. Imo, he's more of an obsessive, creepy old man who wants to have Lena for himself as a sort of trophy. Him basically blocking her attempts at a modelling career by (presumably) paying off, blackmailing or otherwise 'intimidating' people into looking the other way leans to a more "obsessive, controlling egomaniac" kind of guy, rather than a simp.

Seymour was supposed to be the "obsessive, controlling egomaniac" you're describing. Thing is, once relationship/romance is established he molds and shapeshifts into the simpy and almost submissive character that we currently have instead. Eva effectively filed his fangs.

I don't see him as a proper antagonist. If you ignore him, you can continue with your story pretty comfortably, if you interact with him long enough, he loses what little threat he used to pose. Meh.

It's kind of a similar thing with how it was in the original game, right? If you go all in on the depravity and end up screwing things up for the MC, it's no one's fault but your own.

I'm wondering if it's the dev's way of adding some 'agency' in the game. Perhaps there will even be an extended plot from the villains towards the end? Like, Lena not having enough money because she was 'too pure' and did not consider tempting fate and risking it all by going to Axel for the shoot.

Or I'm just reading too much into things and it'll just be a nothing burger.

IMHO this is one of the biggest flaws EK as a developer has. Making polls with the patrons and always listening to them instead taking it as an indicator and deciding herself. The patrons are in no matter what and are often not representive of the whole player base. Also these polls end up on the lowest common position most times, which is rarely good for development.

Take the yearlong gap between new content a couple versions ago due to the patrons voted for waiting. This was certainly not good for the game development nor EK´s reputation. She should tell the players that the polls are for info-gathering what the players think, not a decisionmaker.
You know that most of us here aren't paying subscribers, right?
