Middle East? No problem. That's better. Just be grateful this thread is yet to be graced by the presence of that guy from either middle east or some -stan that really don't like leasbians.
Attaboy, that's a vital part of the experience on this site and no other dev contributed as much as you.Middle East? No problem.

I agree. We need more ntrI'm just here to complain about the ntr
Also, yes, indeed I was... I fucked up... there's some heavy compression in some renders and for some reason I interpreted it as 720p... but nah, I paid attention and it's indeed 1080p... don't know wtf I was smoking... anyways, problem solved, thanks for the helpThen the version you're playing is in 1080p mate.
I am not defending that guy's post but I strongly disagree with this statement. Since when do choices imply the game is trying to get you to self insert? Depending on how it is executed choices can add a bit of complexity to the game and can help with story, character developement and worldbuilding.i know right? Makes it really hard to self-insert.
They don't *mean* self-insert, but IME there is a correlation. If you want to feel like you are in the story instead of just observing the story then having some amount of control tends to follow. I'm sure there are KN-type games that are aimed at self-insert folks, but I haven't seen many. Typically the people screaming for choices are also the ones that are furious if you cannot rename the protagonist.I am not defending that guy's post but I strongly disagree with this statement. 100% agree there. Branches can be completely independent (and thus crush your productivity) or they can try to share a lot of content (and are usually very challenging for your typical daz-artist-pretending-to-be-a-programmer). Either way sucks. But on the other hand choices = more work for the dev and unless it is planned carefully the extra work introduced by choices can increase exponentially. And I would rather have more content than more choices.
Don't worry, Hans, low quality european weed does this to you. Also, yes, indeed I was... I have never felt that way. Some games I like such as Pale Carnations or Good Girl Gone Bad would just be worse games if they followed the KN format. A KN format alone does not make a game any less of a self insert game. And with the harem themes and its anime-ish tropes I personally think that this game is more of a wish fulfillment self insert fantasy than either PC or GGGB.They don't *mean* self-insert, but IME there is a correlation. PC is totally a self-insert game...for TD1900I have never felt that way. Some games I like such as Pale Carnations or Good Girl Gone Bad would just be worse games if they followed the KN format. The next time some schizo melts down in this thread over not being able to rename CJ or that getting abused by his mother ruins his power fantasy, I'll tag you and you can argue with them instead of me.That's not to say that wish fulfillment type games are bad - it all depends on the execution and games like Eternum and Desert Stalker (which I think also appeal to the self insert audience) are among my favorite adult games. And I like this game because it is well executed too in terms of the overall story and writing. But when it comes to self inserting, I just think that if you liked to self insert it would be far more appealing to try and self insert in a harem game like this one as opposed to something like pale carnations where 3 of the love interests are whores or good girl gone bad where you play as a woman desperately trying to become the biggest slut imaginable.
When it comes to trying to get people to self insert, I think the contents of the game play a much larger role than things like player choices. And this is also why I think that so many harem manga, light novels, korean pornhwas, chinese Xianxia/Wuxia novels etc that I have read try to appeal to readers who like to self insert despite the fact that they obviously have fixed stories because of the medium they are in.
But maybe I only feel this way because I dont try to self insert.
Counter-point: only like one of the characters is an old lady tho.PC is totally a self-insert game...for TD1900![]()
This game just attracts more of those types of people because of the content - it is a harem game. And if they have the choice between being able to pick the MC's name vs not being able to do so, they would choose the former option which is why I think they end up making noise.PC is totally a self-insert game...for TD1900

I think you're confusing the appeal of the premise with the mechanics of self-insertion, which is generally conveyed with choices and consequences based on what the player themselves want. This game just attracts more of those types of people because of the content - it is a harem game. And if they have the choice between being able to pick the MC's name vs not being able to do so, they would choose the former option which is why I think they end up making noise.
I dont think a game having a fixed story/characters is enough to classify it as difficult to try and self insert into. Just look at other mediums - pick any harem japanese light novel for example and it is almost a guarantee that it will be a wish fulfillment power fantasy type LN. While not being able to rename CJ might ruin things for some people I still think it is easier to want to self insert and live out your power fantasy in a harem game like this where you have a bunch of supermodels thirsting after your cock and are basically a god when compared to games with lots of choices but have heavier more depressing themes.
Also we are talking about these types of VNs like it is a bad thing - it is definitely not. It all depends on the execution. A well written VN that tries to appeal to self insert types is still a well written VN. And a shit VN that makes you play as a psycho that is impossible to self insert into is still going to be shit.
