I played WVM and also enjoyed a lot things of it, just it was totally unrealistic on this point, hence the comparison with the Last Man, a russian game (a great one also)in which all males of the world except the protagonist, have died.

But is it really unrealistic that an up and coming sports star would have that kind of pull in an area/country that loves the sport? Overblown maybe but not entirely unrealistic, Coke lost millions/billions cause one soccer player removed the drinks from around him at a conference and prompted water instead....... that is unrealistic to me but I bet if he wanted he could have the same/better life then the MC in WVM. Any woman he wanted and none would complain about him banging 100+ others as long as they get some too... so is it really that unrealistic? LOL

Anyway, I am at the end of this last update right now and still I don't know what to do with Harper. I just want to help her down and go home but storywise I feel I'm going to miss something in the future this way . However, I'm totally sure of what I'd do with Hana after I came back home.

Well, let me explain.

I think this is a pretty damn good VN and I'm really enjoying the story.

I think this is hands down graphically and visually the best Honey Select based game I've ever seen by far. I just want to point out that the MC's model is dull and too plain when compared with the rest of the main characters.

My 2 cents, of course.

IMHO, the MC in this game is rather unremarkable, but that's fairly typical for most MCs (assuming they're even allowed to have a face in the first place). If anything, the MC's glasses at least make him stand out from his fellow protagonists a bit.

Also, just to reiterate, none of the women in the game swoon over the MC based on his looks. Felicia and Rose's interest starts because they know he's a potential ally in the Exhibition. Hana and Mina only become interested in the MC once they get to know him as a person (Hana as someone who knows what she's going through, Mina as a sort of fantasy made real). Kathleen is initially concerned with whether or not he'll be a good employee; she only takes a personal interest when she realizes he's a potential kindred spirit. And Veronica still hasn't taken that much of an interest in the MC

I assume you'll miss something either way: either the chance to indulge the MC's darker side, or the chance to embrace the MC's lighter side. From what the devs have said both options will have some exclusive content, which is depressingly rare in a corruption game.

So I'd say just pick whichever you'd prefer to see personally. (And then make an alt to see the other! )

Was not talking about the MC being gang-banged, was talking about how he likes to watch his mothers porn vids from when he was a child, mainly inregards to him being a sociopath, one of which was a gang-bang. Was mainly curious why you didnt like the MC in the other game though but its not anything serious just piqued my curiosity, this is not the place for that discussion thought so disregard.

I'm not going to go deeply into it, as you said, not really the place...but I didn't have a huge problem with the guy's Mary Stu status, I imagine that's not too unrealistic for highly recruited collegiate athletes. What I really disliked is the kind of person who takes advantage of all the perks that a corrupt administrator gets for them, while at the same time scorning that administrator, and acting like he has some sort of moral perch to judge the guy from. The hypocrisy really rubbed me the wrong way.

I also found his relationship with the women a little overly saccharine, but I think that's more just my personal taste, not really an issue with the game.

I am looking forward to it, esp. as you corretly say how rare it is to have special content for both major routes. While I will focus on the lighter/slightly-to-moderately corrupted side, I will defnitely look with an alternative walkthrough at the "No, I am your father" side. It will be interesting where the tipping points will be.

The most recent developer diary was shared in this post. They'll be a new one in probably a week or so, once we have some progress worth reporting on.

As a quick update to that, GIL and I are finally back in the thick of things as of this week. I handed a decent chunk of script to him yesterday morning and he returned 14 animations (some of them the older stuff he mention in the last diary) and 33 statics last night. He's really been itching to get back to work. We're closing out Veronica's content right now. Feels like we've been on that forever, which I suppose we have given the circumstances. It'll be good to finally move onto Felicia and her husband.

There was a new dev diary late yesterday. Hopefully they won't mind if I pass along the relevant text.

Hey all, happy to say TD here with a normal developer diary.

Things got fully rolling last Monday, when I finally handed GIL a script. Currently, we sit at 1264 static images and 56 animations for this update. It feels good to report some progress again.

Most of those new animations are for a very long and Spicy Veronica scenes, but GIL also went back and retroactively animated the Kathleen reward 5some (Lucy boobjob, Dalia missionary), the Lucy + Ian stuff in the prologue, and the Felicia face fuck in the club afterparty. He certainly kept busy while I was away.

Shockingly the line count is currently at around 8,000 lines. For reference, the last update was 8400, the exhibition update was 11,000, the one before that was 10,500, and the prologue was roughly 13,000. Take those numbers with a grain of salt, it's not just dialogue. Some updates are heavier on the ren'py side of things than others.

We should FINALLY be wrapping up the Veronica stuff over the next week. It feels like we've been on it forever and it'll feel nice to finally move onto the Felicia part of the update and the few other small, miscellaneous needed to flesh out the story.

Finally: I really, REALLY appreciate all your patience and well wishes. My father had been sick for a few years, but it was still difficult to come to terms with and your understanding meant I didn't stress (as much as I might've) about meeting my obligations for the project in that time. Thank you for your support, both financial and morale wise.

Obviously I'm glad TD is getting back in the swing of things, especially if that helps take his mind off real life issues for a while.

But let's look at the new numbers. In the 27 days since the previous update, our intrepid devs have completed 114 static renders and 21 animations. That's an average of ~30 static and 5.4 animations per week over that span. Overall, they are now averaging 80 static and 3.6 animation renders per week during the development of Chapter 3 Update 2. For those more interested in the pretty pictures, here are the charts:

As you can see, we've fallen behind the pace on static renders (compared to Chapter 3 Update 1) but are way ahead on animations. That's a bit misleading since several of those animations are actually reworks of scenes in prior updates, but I don't really have a good means of filtering them out so we'll just lump them in and learn to live with the pleasingly steep slope of the projected animation line.

Still, we're clearly a ways out from release. My chart shows us taking into September to match Ch3U1's static render totals. I expect the render rate will jump back up, however, now that GIL3D has material to render once again. If we assume he kicks it back up to around 100 statics per week we should hit our baseline by the start of August. That probably translates to an early-to-mid August release. Obviously this is extremely speculative, but I think it's a decent estimate, at least until we learn more about just how extensive Felicia's content will be.

That said, I have to admit I'm very curious to see the Veronica scenes. She's still my favorite and I'm really eager for her path to start in earnest - and especially to see how the scene might vary based on the MC's approach to his assignment. So much to wonder about!

Between this and BaDIK's latest preview, today has been a difficult day for patience. But I'll just have to soldier through somehow. One day at a time.

The only reason I am not currently giving it five stars is for fear of the future of the plot with characters like Hana or Mina, since so far, they are quite perfect for a player looking for something more vanilla. But I don't know what the developers have planned for them and if making them 'whores' is in their plans or not.

I'm all for reviewing however you want, and I know this isn't a big deal, but to withhold 5 stars simply because you're afraid of what might happen in the future? That's really stupid lmao. Rate for what there is now and then you can always lower your rating later if an update ruins the game for you.

But yeah, it's silly reasoning. PC has already more content than most VNs here so even if the quality would change (which might happen but for the better, see how many old scenes were animated for example) the "average" wouldn't change that much.

Such reasoning always annoy me, people willing to downgrade game ratings in reviews because of their fetish preference. It's like if I playing only strategy games and then decided to play a strategy game with shooter elements, got disappointed that it had shooter elements, and gave it a low rating because of that. Or, for example, if the reviewer has no sense of humor and is reviewing a comedy.

My position is simple, if game contain fetishes I like, I can easily write a review and evaluate it's quality and how it's implemented, but if a game contains fetishes that I don't like, how can I judge it if it's not my thing? So I just don't play them, if this fetishes bothers me too much, or I don't write reviews on them.

Edited. P.S. The only exception of my rule is probably the hypnosis stuff. Despite that this certain fetish has their own audience, I rarely find good execution of this in a story, and mostly find it to be the laziest way to write a porn story.
