If you get used to telling characters apart by their hair style shit like that gets complicated.
This and house on the rift are probably my two favorite games. Great writing, good story, characters nicely fleshed out, MC that is interesting, hot women and hot sexy moments. The blue balled ending really was a blue balled ending.

You get the flashbacks to understand what Edwin's Mom went through to support her Son. He watches Her videos to remind himself that the Carnations are indeed human beings, with feelings and dreams, not just pieces of meat. Edwin's Mom is his Moral compass for the story.
There is no incest in the game because I don't want there to be. It would cheapen things and doesn't factor into the story being told.
In part, because seeing her do porn is more impactful than hearing about it.
More than that though, because seeing her do porn is something that I enjoy.
GIL and I are hobbyists first and foremost. We appreciate all of the support we receive, and it helps us out in our daily lives, but making money isn't our primary objective. Personally, I just want to make my own ideal porn game, not pander to what best sells.
Thankfully, we've very lucky to have the audience we do have.
If I may interject, MC is definitely not a virgin. Even tho I'm not sure it's ever explictly stated, it is definitely heavily implied. Small detail!
Welp, I'd say we're men of a different culture! Incest does literally nothing for me, and I think TD isn't particularly enthused about it. I hope you can understand we're focused on preserving TD's vision and doing what we like first and foremost. It's unfortunate our work isn't your particular flavor, but thankfully you have a veritable pile of other games centered around it.

If you really want Sweet Home Alabama so much search the forum, there are several hundreds of games like this. Some of them may even have a similar quality of writting and/or renders and animations.
But leave Pale Carnations alone, this game already stands on its own without needing to copy whatever whimsicality some people perceive as the greatest thing ever in the last few months.
and FTR....the Devs woud NOT make more monedy via Patreon with incest. Patreon would in fact, boot them off the platform, and they would make nada.

The search here can get a bit finicky, plus as you saw if someone miswords the title it's a bust. I find it works better if you remove all inbetween words and only search the keywords (in this case, "house rift"). Worse case scenario searching each keyword individually (starting from the least common so reduce results) and glancing through for more popular games.

But to give you an example:
Calling people „not men of culture“ for not being hellbent on incest and your opinion, that virgin boys have to lust after their mothers is such a narrow minded opinion that it can‘t be taken serious and is assumed to be trolling.

I will admit that I commented previously that the first time I saw the first update where we saw Edwin watching his mum do porn, that I did ask if incest would be a thing, maybe as part of showing Edwin's descent into debauchery, the final straw.
But the more the story has progressed after subsequent updates, the more I have come to understand that what his mum did is mirror to what all the Carnations are doing, especially for Rosalind.
The more Rosalind has spoken of her daughter to Edwin, and him seeing the impact of debt collector on Rosalind, the more Edwin understands that she will do whatever it takes to give the best life possible for her daughter, in the same way as his mother did for him.

This is why I am fascinated by Rosalind and Edwin's relationship. It's so interesting. Is Rosalind performing an act for him? Just doing whatever it takes to survive and secretly hates him? Or does she kind of like him, and is actually interested in some of the sex being performed as long as it is with someone she likes? (This is heavily hinted at). Does he like her the more perverted she acts? How does that overlap with his feeling towards his mom and what she did? Is he being an unreliable narrator when he is describing Rosalind, and we can't trust what is being shown on our screens? How will his mom react if Edwin and Rosalind become a couple, and how will Rosalind react if she finds out his mom did porn and that Edwin has tapes/files of them (and has presumably watched them)? That's just scratching the surface. Hana is actually my favorite person in the game, but Rosalind is my favorite character because of the interplay between her, Edwin, and Victoria.
