To be fair this isn't a piracy website either. It's a porn/sharing website mostly focused on non-drm games, not nearly as bad as actual piracy websites where people actively crack drm content and share it for free.

If anything the publicity these games receive by being shared outside of patreon is the major reason they get popular in the first place, seems like a pretty symbiotic relationship to me which is why most devs don't encourage it but also don't DRM their games, which they are free to do so but most don't because they know it would just lower their numbers as already happened with some devs in the past.
Fun fact : The first time I ever encountered the name F95 on the internet, was from searching cracked versions of the annoying DRM'd LoP games. Alongside the cheats mod that made those games playable. I think the site wasn't even active at that time.

It is true that with time and traffic, it can also serve as a showcase, but the original purpose still exists.

I don't know how does my post about giving the devs the grace of releasing their own game to the public (given they intend to do it already with just a week delay) turned into a discussion about values of F95 as a site. You need to already wait months for the update, you really can't wait a week more?

Here have a food for thought: one can be thief and still not want to steal from charity box. (in regards to the posts that said : if you have problem with piracy you should move from the site)

I wish everyone a happy holiday and a fruitful discussion of the site's merits.

It's my fond hope that a compressed Mac version could be made eventually.

Here is some more food for thought, how many patrons do you think support this game because they want the game one week earlier than everyone else?

No one would have ever heard of this brilliant game without websites like this one promoting it. And people like me give them money because we want the project to continue, not because of some arbitrary release schedule.

Whenever there is release projects tend to see increase of 10-20% in patron count for that month. The spikes tend to be bigger if there is no immediate leak. If those people are not supporting because they want update then why ?

I'm not going into discussion about pros and cons of this site. Giving the devs a week would have no impact on this site whatsoever.

And how many people immediately cancel their patron once they download the game and then wait for the next release? We are not privy to the analytics of subscriptions, I can only go by the anecdotal evidence of myself and others. But the evidence points to the fact that if the game is good enough, then the patron count will rise regardless of whether the game leaks early or not. Early access is an incentive to some, but I'd argue not a majority.

Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree with you and I would prefer if people honoured the release and waited a week. But it is what it is.

Got an error while talking with Harper:

Apart from that it was another solid update. Little less interesting for me personally perhaps given my fav girl didn't make an appearance, but I liked it a lot nevertheless. I also liked the music choice for a shoot with Felicia, at some point I got a feeling like I'm almost watching a silent movie.

Zoey Raven's discontinued the walkthrough? Damn, I used that like a bible.
Given the fact Zoey has a patreon that they link to, I would assume they do it for the money. If not enough money, no sense in spending time on it.
This is just assumption though as I have spent zero time looking at their patreon to see what they claim/how they act in public.

Binged it, blindly managed to unlock all scenes, it was great. The story remains captivating. The only part that looked weird to me was a cunnilingus scene where the receiving girls pants were still near the top of her legs and should clearly have been in the way .. but i'm already anticipating the continuation. Happy new year :D
I kinda thought that way too, but if it was a pair of slacks, rather than jeans, maybe it was still possible? Not sure about that.

Yeah, I feel the same way, le sigh. Ah well. I suppose we'll all muddle through with out own choices, unless somebody makes a new update to it, or Zoey comes back to it.

Also, finished a few hours back; ended up staying awake all night after all because I couldn't settle. Went to bed after I finished the update.:p

Also, think I found an error:

If I was more awake, I probably would have screenshot this, but I recall this in my half asleep daze:

Punctuation: at one point there's a ' ?", ' punctuation point, and the comma on the outside jumped out at me as wrong. Could have been an exclamation mark too, but pretty sure the comma on the outside of quotation marks is wrong. I could be wrong, so I'm ready to be corrected by somebody else.

Anyway, thanks for the amazing update GIL3D and TD1900! I freaking loved it! :D

Zoey makes a lot of walkthrough mods and is making her own game as well. On her Patreon earlier in December she had a poll asking if people would like her to continue the Pale Carnations mod, because it takes her 7~8 hours each time and that particular mod didn't get a lot of attention. (Zoe said she thinks most people use a different walkthrough mod). Patreons voted to drop this mod.

Man, Felicia sure is a character. I'm not sure if i would even like her in real life, or perhaps respect her would be more apt, but she feels so much like a real person(/layered) that i find it really hard not to sympathize with her, if not with her situation.
Although most characters are initially presented as some kind(s) of the usual porn trope(s) once you spend some time with them and engage with their story you realize the Devs actually fleshed most (all?) of them out. Behind the initial facade lurk real characters with all kinds of strength, flaws, hopes and dreams. This (and the stunning graphics and animation) is what puts this game above most games on this site. Truly a masterpiece.

We get some big insights into Felicia and Mina (suposedly, haven't finished her part yet. Kinda ran out of "steam" after Felicia ;)). But that's not really all. If you give Ian the call about Mina you'll get a glimpse into his psyche at the end there. And there's multiple pieces for various people during the club exploration part. Choosing the right order gives you more to work with.

GIL3D and TD1900 keep on delivering update after update. We're truly fortunate to have them take part in our little corner of the internet.
