It was a joke at Killian's expense. I tried to like him but the way he treats Mina means I'm mostly going through the motions as his "friend." He doesn't deserve Mina or Felicia.
And as I understand it there's a possibility of getting one of the girls as truly your own (that is, no longer a Carnation) at the end. I could be wrong there. If I am, no big deal. I'm okay with sharing Felicia. I'm quite looking forward to watching her in the competition.

It is possible to have a romance with them at the end, sure, just remember they will all be gangfucked multiple times before that and you will be watching it.
I have to warn because some people really hate to see love interests with other men and those love interests are going to be with a LOT of men.

The script and images for the next update is completed and I'm happy to announce we're in the final stage of polishing the update, play testing and fixing bugs, and finding pesky typos. Our tentative release date for our platinum tier is November 16th. Just like last time, it could drop earlier than that. Just depends on how long it takes for us to get our ducks in a satisfactory row.

If I had to bet money I'd guess that you will be able to somehow 'interfere' with the contests to lesson any impact on your potential love interest carnation. But I'm not fussed either way, if the gangbangs are unavoidable then I won't complain. I'm not emotionally fragile, so I can accept that women have sex with other people than me, especially in a porn game.
It's that type of edginess that attracted me to this game to begin with. I guess I'm burnt out with all the harem games and this is something different.

As far as i've been told by the dev the contest will go thorugh as planned, you won't get to romance them until it's over.
It's the risk people are going to have to take when picking their LI. If they are emotionally fragile then they should avoid the contestants, thee are a couple that aren't part of it.
Everything in regards to the contest is unavoidable. There is no way of stopping or blocking any of it.

I remember a post here from the dev saying you may be able to "protect" one of the girls during certain parts of the contest. She'll still have to compete but you can spare her some of the action (by partnering with her for the event and going a little easy on her.) Whether that's in her interests is debatable as it could lead to her losing.
I have no intention of doing any such thing. I want to see them do it all. The only one I'd consider it for is Felicia and she's way too into this for me to intervene. Plus it will be so hot to watch (or do - I may partner with her on some events so I can be the one testing her limits.)

That's pretty much the gist of it.
Even girls not in the contest, like Mina, are still having sex. Killian fucks Mina on the regular so anyone wanting "untouched" girls is looking at the wrong game here.

Can someone tell how many scenes are there in the game? I saw the changelog, but saying an update adds 1,764 new images is worthless for a 3dcg game as renders can be churned out on the cheap.
The first release had eight or so sex scenes, discounting the ecchi-like, non-penetrative ones found in the replay mode. Using the same criteria, the second update had about two proper sex scenes. Everything included (kissing, perverted interviews, etc.), there's 18 in total as of Chapter 2 Update 1.
Next week's update will add around nine to eleven new scenes across the branching paths, so if you're still interested, maybe hold off on downloading until that version gets leaked and uploaded here.
