I was going to say that maybe sleeping with the maid instead of the hairdresser is some twisted form of seeking comfort from the only woman in his life (besides Edwin's mom, who is very much off limits for this type of comfort) who demonstrates any kind of care for his well-being?
That's more or less my reading of it, too. Though of course, Ian doubling down on treating that "childhood comfort figure" like a fuck toy to be mocked and humiliated does very effective job of undoing whatever sympathy he'd d generate with such a move. Even if he may operate from position of "oh but that's what she likes!"

Chuck is certainly enabling and encouraging it.

And his parents (especially his mother) probably screwed him over as well. He hardly knows what love actually is and how it feels. So that screwed his relationship with Mina as well.
Very much so. It has been mentioned and hinted at several times in the game that Vicki was far more a mother to Ian than his real mom. (He might even have a slight crush on her) What little motherly love Ian got most came from Viktoria, a bit from Alice and nothing from Grace. Grace, Ian´s mom, is the coldest character of some importance in the game and that says something!
Kat, Warren or Chuck might have skewed and partly fucked up emotions, but they feel. Sophia is an eccentric nerd and might be overabstracting her feelings, but she has them. August and Otto are hardened criminals, but they feel friendship and fatherly love too.
But Grace? Any time we saw her, there was nothing, just calculation.

Then again, we see her for whole five minutes if that, so that's not exactly telling us much. The only thing we learn about her is that she never liked Edwin.
Didn't we see her meeting with Victoria on one of the sneak peeks? So we'll probably see more of her in the new update.

Mina is going to end up as a Carnation or a House Girl if she isn't careful.
Careful about what? Carnations and house girls aren't slaves/kidnapped women.

And Mina doesn't need money or a job.

How and why could it possibly happen, I wonder.

I wonder why you guys seem to forget that the story is going to end in 10 days (week 4, saturday night) as well.

Hello, is there a WIN compressed version?
There always is. You just need to use search bar and find the post.

Yeah, I don't really see that happening either. Not without Kath and Warren going full criminal and abducting her or something. If anything the drama might come from Mina finding out that Felicia, Ian, Edwin and even Hanna and Veronica are all involved in this weird sex club.

Guys, I finished the current build and I still think about this dream/nightmare from Edwin (it happens in week 2 on Wednesday when Hana and Edwin sleeps on the couch). You think this is some sort of foreshadowing ? I don't want Victoria to die :'O
I want to know but I also don't want to know, it's terrible xD

The thing is that we might see her just a couple times, but also other sources during events in PC mention Grace´s coldness and arrogance.

Not without Kath and Warren going full criminal and abducting her or something.
Which would defeat the point, at least as far as Kath is concerned. She wants the Carnations to be there because they chose to be there, not because someone had access to sedatives, zip ties and an unmarked van.

If blondie is in any danger, it's because she's curious. Exposing her to more sordid parts of the sexual landscape might not mean anything in the ten or so days left in the game, but it might fuck her up in the long term, assuming the existence of actual epilogues.

As the other said, I don't see that happening. Mina isn't in the sort of bind that would force her to become a Carnation/house girl, and as Kathleen delights in demonstrating to Felicia, the Carnation Club is *not* about satisfying sexual kinks (well, not the working girls' kinks).

Though I suppose given Hana's comment to Felicia in the second Exhibition, Mina might fit in as a Carnation in a potential ending where Hana takes over from August and manages to reform the Club to something less overtly exploitative.

[Re comparing Grace to Kathleen]
The thing is that we might see her just a couple times, but also other sources during events in PC mention Grace´s coldness and arrogance.
It's not a fair comparison though, because tormenting people is literally what Kathleen does for fun; no wonder she seems lively when the MC sees her. Grace is certainly not a warm person, but whenever we've seen her she's been "on the clock" as it were. We don't know what she'd be like in a setting where she gets to indulge whatever her hobbies are.

I don't think we are going to see a scene where Mina learns about the Club. The most logical scenario is that she mustn't know and no one will ever tell her.

to be fair, the whole premise of the setup is pretty 'messed up'. there aren't any grounds for morals. i think that's why the story repeats the question twice on Edwin contemplating if he counts as a good person. he's in an environment where the little cool crutches club are flexing on each other and they're pretty much all above the law.

what's a little sad is i don't know if there's any room for love in this story unless the narrative takes a huge turn. like... so much has happened in 3 weeks and most narratives has edwin putting a lot of 'care' for the three carnations. can he even last longer than a year?

i agree with ottoeight about ian. i don't think the poor guy has ever felt 'love' other than from Edwin*/Victoria. Alice was probably the next closest thing but she was 'paid'. his father/mum? hell no. they're just grooming/manipulating him for their own goals. Chuck's doesn't help since he's a full enabler for the hedonistic lifestyle that he lost out on due to his past

i'm actually very glad there's no incest in this game. i really like when Victoria enters the scene and shoots the shit
