What does it mean?
It is a song from the time escorts in inner city flats you could call by phone became more common, tunneling under red light district regulations. This song is playing in Munich and the escort in question is a girl named Rosi. :) Absolute classic song anyone over a certain age knows. Is played on many festivals to this day and even Metallica covered it when playing in Munich.
Fun fact: While the band took care to check that the phone number they mentioned was not correct in Munich, it was an official city department number in a different city. They had a lot of "fun" there in the eighties with calls requesting a talk with Rosi.:);)

Its a very dark game, its just presented in a very sheltered way. rich clients, seemingly 'eager' to participate girls. etc.

In order for any sort of climax in the story its almost a guarantee that they will destroy that 'shelter' to create something to overcome and create a 'victory'.

regardless its a compelling story and thats why it became so popular.
If you think *this* is a very dark game given whats out there, I dont even know what to tell you other than log off immediately.

It is. As Fuzzy Nuts J pointed you out, the way it presents people and facts and how the story is told just softens everything... until it hits hard, like when you see that sadistic evil grin on the Old Bitch's face, that evil mad look in Uncle Chuck's eyes and when Warren talks about how he enjoyed beating that girl.

Should I remind you guys that the 3 club owners are sociopathic criminals? that the club patrons are a bunch of "ugly bastards"? that all the club girls and the 3 Carnations are totally under their mercy and the only people who can help them - somewhat - are Edwin, Ian and Hana (may God help them)?

Thats real life, so you are saying real life is dark, yes it is.
I am not saying this game is dark, but there are darker games. And as you said, how story is told softens, lot of ppl will not analyze it

It is a mildly dark game to me. Yes there are far darker games out there, games I love even, but that doesn't diminish what PC is doing.

Of course there are games which are even more intense in this regard, but it doesn't mean this game isn't 'very dark'. Just like full-scale genocides don't make a mass murder any less of a heavy crime.
Depends, a genocide for example is a shoot in the head or quickly killing (not all) but a mass murder could be much more darker, torture, cuting off limbs, rape and burning alive

Mildy dark, I would probably prefer to use the word kinky for this game. Kinky and Romantic at the same time. An unusual combination attracking folks with different interests.
