Sure they exist, but the fact that there's a interview to show "how they work" tells you how society sees it, but has you said gay couples were seen like that a couple decades ago so maybe throuples will be more "normal" in a few years who knows.
Edwin mom doing porn is much more realistic than the characters Edwin, Mina and Hana having a happy, frictionless, serious and lasting throuple relationship IMO. And Victoria past is always portrayed as Taboo and can be even a point of friction between Edwin and his best friend that sees Vic as an idol.
Once again I'm not talking of Edwin having fun with Mina and Hana at the same time, it's about having a end like "and the throuple lived happy ever after" that I really don't see happening, if you disagree it's ok, this is just my read on the story TD wrote thus far, I can be completely wrong though

On this whole Throuple thing. What I have observed in limited exposure to open relationships is that committed couples will sometimes add a long term 3rd if they both become attached to that person. Many people say its unrealistic or it will ruin their characters. I disgaree. We don't even have a realistic story now, there are a lot of unrealistic things that happen in this story, so anyone who thinks this is picture perfect of the real world needs to go outside more. Plus media doesn't need to follow complete logic, and just cause a throuple is not normal, doesn't mean its wrong.
There has been buildup, hints, growing friendship between the two girls, so on, that I feel that, would be a letdown if it was just a threesome one and done. People say it would ruin their characters, have anybody paid attention to them, cause it wouldn't ruin anything with the small buildups. Besides just avoid the throuple route if it affects you so much.
So, I can't wait to see the beautiful throuple relationship blossom over this final week where it is full of love between all 3, equals, leading to a great ending, and hopefully a epilogue, where we get them both pregnant hopefully.

I didn't see anyone saying this is picture perfect of real life. And this game is pretty realistic in the way characters are portrayed IMO. And saying to someone to touch grass because you don't agree with them is childish to say the least.
About people being "affected" by the throuple route, doubt anyone is affected, but some people would be very affected and would voice their opinion if the Throuple instead oh Edwin, Hana and Mina was Edwin, Ian and one of the two girls

Sorry if my estimation offends your view of the main storylines.
I base my theory on several factors. One is that from early on in development we were told that one day the choice will come to select our special sweetheart, singular. You can be friends with the other LIs afterwards, but we have to choose one character for love.Choices count in PC and have consequences. You cannot see everything in one playthrough. Just look at the current update. To get all the Lucy, Hana, Sophia and Allison options, you need to have made several crucial choices before to open up these options. And even if you have all the options for these 4 women available, you have to choose which way you follow. Choosing Lucy sets you on another path than if you chose time with Hana or going for Sophia. These are not absolute route changers, but they count towards certain ways. Going for Lucy and Allison hints at acceptance as the club currently is, for example.
The threesomes we had so far were nice, but also did infringe on romance options. e.g. having the Feli/Mina/Edwin threesome, you loose an important Felicia romance event and is not that good for the Mina romance either.
Characterisations: Unlike the majority of games on F95, the various characters in game are very well-developed. While there are some tropes, it is a porn game after all, the characters are made with care to detail. Who would guess on first try that Warren has a soft spot for movie classics?
The main and important side characters develop throughout the game too, influenced by our choices. The negative anger Hana (it is possible to lower it so far) is not quite the same as the high anger Hana, definitely not. But they all have their baseline character traits and values. Hana has nothing against sexual experimentation and fun, but it has been consistently told during the game that she also values loyalty and regular romance.
As I wrote in earlier posts, e.g. threesomes for fun with people you like, are not a problem for Hana. But a Mina "wanting more" Edwin or Hana would be a no-go for her. Unless both our hero and Hana are well corrupted by the club, I do not see a longterm throuple viable, because of the personalities invovled.
TD and GIL might, I say might, put in a throuple path as a very specifically convoluted reachable easter egg on a good path. But currently I do not see it, but it might happen.
I am far more interested in what happens between our hero and our eccentric chemist.

I'm replaying the game and got to that part with Andrea on the porn studio, it's so cool to have Jessica from Ripples in a poster there, wonder if TD or GIL are friends with Jestur (ripples dev)

Td and GIL always put in nice touches, like objects which can be guessed what they represent, e.g. Nintendo Switch or the Cola bottles. Also the Whisky bottles give hints what they should be. Hana killed a Jack Daniels a couple days ago. Personally I would prefer a GlenAllechie Batch, Tobermory, Bruichladdich Bere Barley, Teeling Spätburgunder Cask Finish, Hyde No.6, Finch Schwäbischer Whisky or a Miyagikyo Nikka.Andrea stays winning honestly imo shes been great every time shes on screen

IIRC, Hana specifically said she was interested in hanging out with "twintails" as she referred to Mina (ironic, considering Hana's own hairstyle), and (again, IIRC) I believe the implication at the time was she was aware MC might like them both.
So I read that as she *was* signalling interest, and pretty early on.
That said, IDK where that was, and am not able to dig for it now, but it seemed a clear enough signal at the time that I recall seeing it as a landmark for how things might develop (and I recall reading abt a dev-planned 3-way, back in discussing the initial 4.3 era dialogue choice of the Hana GF path, back when it didn't actually have any outcome attached to it yet).
And (skip if you arent interested) for all the folks discussing the regularity/morality/stability of throuples, I personally know a few, including one decades-long MFF with kids by both women, but my social network included pagan/wiccan/alt lifestyle crowds, so may be an exception.
In my experience, it really is a matter of the individuals involved: some ppl like it and some don't. As I overheard one dude discussing it: "a lot of guys think they're OK w/the poly lifestyle until it finally hits home that their wife is fucking some other guy in that tent right in front of them".
My personal XP was ever that any girls saying they are OK w/open relationships suddenly blow TF up when *I* fucked another girl or two, at which point they had all these BS excuses as to why I shouldn't have seen this or that *specific* girl (so avoiding admitting it was allowed under open relations) even tho they already were seeing someone, themselves.

But there is nothing in Hana's presented personality that would imply she is incapable of having romantic feelings for more than one person (something people often don't even consider as an option, having been raised on the stock idea how you are only supposed to have feelings for one partner. Until it happens to them.) And having feelings for more than one person is not "corruption", but something that simply happens to regular people, ones who never placed a foot in a secret sex club.
